Between (in his mind) supreme court nominees who failed him yesterday, the ruling to halt construction on east wing agaisnt him and the bad reviews on his speech against him last night, he's blaming everyone but himself. He's going to pull dominance to show 'he's smart and in control'.typical narcissist actions

It’s a classic defensive pivot; whenever he faces a string of institutional losses, he shifts the focus to loyalty test and purges to prove he still holds the reins. It’s less about strategy and more about fragile ego maintenance.

broke_boi1 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Hopefully Stephen Miller says something out of line next
1
WereInbuisness Apr 3, 2026 +74
Don't forget his speech to a group of Evangelical "religious leaders" yesterday that wasn't supposed to be shown to the public. "We can't pay for daycare for all kids. This is a huge country! We can't afford Medicare for everyone! We're fighting wars! The states should pay for all that!!" That is just paraphrased. Does he even know where federal funding comes from? Why are we a union if our tax dollars can't be spent on us? Does he not realize that those federal dollars that the states get comes from said states originally? God .... he is so f****** dumb.

Trumps final form seems to be George III
1
mvallas1073 Apr 3, 2026 +1
One thing that scares me about SCOTUS going against him (btw, I’m super glad they did! But…) is that Steven Miller or somesuch evil idiot might plant it in Trumps brain to add/stack new judges in SCOTUS just to counter ALL the current judges I don’t believe he can do that before midterms… but I wouldn’t put it past him to try!

XSinTrick6666 Apr 3, 2026 +1
he can't even get his SAVE thing passed - and he claims he won't sign anything till then
1
Virtual-Squirrel-725 Apr 3, 2026 +63
Noem was put in charge of his gestapo - bad press - fired. Bondi in charge of the pedophile cover up - bad press - fired Tulsi in charge of pretending Iran was an imminent threat - disastrous war - fired soon. Hegseth in charge of the failed war - economic fallout - fired soon. Their only useful function is to be a heat shield - the MAGA media can avoid blaming Dear Leader by putting it all on them. Once fired, the MAGA media can say - it's all good now, problem solved.

Bovino got shitcanned, too. Wondering how much longer Patel is gonna last, Boingino already fled.
1
D-MAN-FLORIDA Apr 3, 2026 +1
Kash will be devastated! How is he supposed to go on free vacations and events if he can’t use the FBI’s private plane? He will have to fly couch like a loser! He also just got costume made FBI themed air Jordan sneakers. Those are going to look ridiculous now!
1
falilth Apr 3, 2026 +1
His likely foreign agent honeypot girlfriend is going to dump him when he gets fired. Back to the spiderkash xvideo account I guess.
1
D-MAN-FLORIDA Apr 3, 2026 +1
She is definitely a honeypot. There is no other reason for her to not dump him after those videos and pictures of him leaked. Because damn.
1
OkTouch5699 Apr 3, 2026 +1
He has also planted the seed that Levitt will be gone soon.
1
Virtual-Squirrel-725 Apr 3, 2026 +1
She has the most impossible job. This administration is so incredibly incompetent and Trump spews so many lies and expects that she'll be able to back them up. Zero sympathy from me. I'm sure there's a stable of Fox women who could step into the job.
1
mdchaara Apr 3, 2026 +121
Patel and Driscoll are next?
121
fatdan1 Apr 3, 2026 +111
Leavitt, Patel, Hegseth in that order is my bet.
111
World_thyme Apr 3, 2026 +97
Why on earth would he get rid of leavitt??? I mean i hate her. But no one else on earth could spout the bullshit she does with a straight face.
97
snozzd Apr 3, 2026 +58
Deep down he knows he is unpopular, and he may blame her.
58
Skiinz19 Apr 3, 2026 +38
Lmao there is no may. He is blaming everyone else but himself.
38
GhostofZellers Apr 3, 2026 +33
>He is blaming everyone else but himself.  I honestly believe that he is actually incapable of doing anything else. His brain won't even allow him the possibility of accepting blame for anything.

dagetty Apr 3, 2026 +1
That is a superpower, although a malevolent one
1
EyesofaJackal Apr 3, 2026 +1
It’s part of why we are here. One of several superpowers he has, boundless narcissism, absence of shame, ability to charm, etc
1
potchippy Apr 3, 2026 +1
Ability to charm? It's more like a virus's ability to bind to specific receptors called bigotry.
1
Werftflammen Apr 3, 2026 +1
It's what makes people believe they are in on the scam, and then he owns them.
1
defiant-raven Apr 3, 2026 +1
By charm you mean lie his ass off, promise everything and deliver nothing (aside from the worst parts of the conservative platform to 'own the libs)
1
Ok-Heat-9297 Apr 3, 2026 +1
“ability to charm” aka gaslighting. He’s beyond textbook definition. Just a walking gaslight
1
SaddamMustaine Apr 3, 2026 +1
It’s not a superpower, it’s 79 years of precedent for always getting your way, never being parented, never having consensual sex in your life, never doing anything at all on merit. He was handed or bullied everything he ever attained.
1
RealHooman2187 Apr 3, 2026 +1
This is a narcissistic trait. I dated a narcissist for over a decade and it really feels like this whole country has been learning what that’s like unfortunately.
1
SaddamMustaine Apr 3, 2026 +1
Oh my God I almost typed “lmao there is no may” and then I saw your comment and felt the universe wobble.

The greatest chaos creating, greedy, morally bankrupt, and corrupt political compromised coward in American History? Who Trumps this?
1
Sissy__Fist Apr 3, 2026 +23
He's made several jokes recently that she's doing a "terrible job" because of how much negative press he gets. As with all of his attempts at humor, it's hard to tell if he's genuine, sarcastic, or just cruel. It certainly seems *possible* that she might get blamed for his deteriorating popularity even though trying to polish the turd that is a self-inflicted economic crisis is an impossible task.
23
Miss-Information_ Apr 3, 2026 +30
She's a woman and he's a misogynistic dunce.
30
XSinTrick6666 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Trump staff are kicking-posts, but the women especially -- that never ends well. I wouldn't be surprised if Susie Wiles recuperated and then broke her own arm to stay TF away from this loser
1
Snoo-7943 Apr 3, 2026 +6
Because his approvals are in the toilet and he refuses to believe that it's his own fault.
6
XSinTrick6666 Apr 3, 2026 +1
I don't think he cares about approval numbers - he has single-handedly CAUSED a global economic meltdown, and still doesn't know how to stop it! No running from that. He's looking for a blame-shift move.
1
Swimming-Economy-870 Apr 3, 2026 +6
He was recently “joking” that his low approval rating is her fault.
6
iamamuttonhead Apr 3, 2026 +4
Ya - I can't understand how she does it. Seems sociopathic to me.
4
gringledoom Apr 3, 2026 +1
I'd bet the fact that she's pregnant is up there on the list.
1
LiveNet2723 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Leavitt's baby is due in May. Trump's handlers will encourage her to not return from maternity leave.
1
WorkerWonderful3900 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Consolidation of power, the hallmark of authoritarians.
1
wibble17 Apr 3, 2026 +1
I hate her, but Leavitt is good at her job for the same reason you mentioned. He would be a fool to get rid of her. On the other hand she is a women. Hegseth arguably his worst pick still has a job.
1
GoldStrangerDust Apr 3, 2026 +1
Trump is repulsed by pregnant women. My bet is she starts maternity leave early and doesnt return.
1
run-on_sentience Apr 3, 2026 +6
Her face isn't straight. It's very, very round.
6
VanbyRiveronbucket Apr 3, 2026 +11
Long hours and a baby and an old husband is a terrible combination. I mean, that’s 3 asses to wipe.
11
run-on_sentience Apr 3, 2026 +1
As soon as the baby is out of diapers, the husband will need them.
1
VanbyRiveronbucket Apr 3, 2026 +1
Laugh my ass off.

1
back-better007 Apr 3, 2026 +1
She brings a lot of negativity
1
Karlend41 Apr 3, 2026 +1
They constantly replace people in positions like this so that Fox News and CNN have a pool of pundits to talk to about the administration. She gets fired today and she'll spend the next 3 years talking up the administration on TV. Or she'll get a TV show like Sean Spicer. Or they'll get her into a political position like Sarah Huckabee.
1
No-Environment-3997 Apr 3, 2026 +1
he just told her she was doing a bad job. [https://people.com/donald-trump-wonders-to-karoline-leavitt-face-if-bad-publicity-is-her-fault-11940286](https://people.com/donald-trump-wonders-to-karoline-leavitt-face-if-bad-publicity-is-her-fault-11940286)

DarthWeber Apr 3, 2026 +13
She is pregnant. She'll go on maternity leave and never come back
13
rotciv0 Apr 3, 2026 +1
And her husband is 60 while she's 28. He was her sunday school teacher or something like that when she was a kid. Unsurprising coming from the pedo party tbf
1
ApplicationQuirky376 Apr 3, 2026 +1
I would add Tulsi Gabbard to that list in front of Leavitt.
1
GoldStrangerDust Apr 3, 2026 +1
Don’t forget Tulsi. I think shes next.
1
iAMguppy Apr 3, 2026 +1
My bet would be Patel, Leavitt, Hegseth. Patel has screwed up massively and a changing of the guard there would mean little due to existing purges internally. Leavitt would do nothing out of the ordinary but would happen for mostly no reason. Hegseth has massively messed up with signal chats and whatnot. He’s leading a charge most would not, and for that reason alone I think he’d be last, because he’s willing to do what few would.
1
Born-Test-8991 Apr 3, 2026 +1
You don’t think Miller’s on the table? Is this a polymarket pool in the making?
1
dagetty Apr 3, 2026 +1
Miller isn’t going anywhere, unfortunately. He knows how to play Trump perfectly.
1
KapnKrumpin Apr 3, 2026 +1
And he'll somehow find even dumber and more unqualified people to take their place. Its like a hydra made of dumb.
1
jvn1983 Apr 3, 2026 +1
I’d put Tulsi in the lead. Although, he’d lose his Russian comrade in doing so…
1

Nah Hegseth is white and male he’s safe /s
1
Sufficient-Yam6787 Apr 3, 2026 +15
My bet is on Hegesth. Iran war is not going to end up great, and he would need someone to take the blame. Hegesth seems the best choice
15
Aggressive-Will-4500 Apr 3, 2026 +7
Yeah, but they won't want to scapegoat Hegseth too quickly. Then they'll have to have someone else lined up to take the blame.
7
Funsuxxor Apr 3, 2026 +1
Not great is best case
1
buckeyerunner1 Apr 3, 2026 +6
Kegseth will go before these two
6
godzillachilla Apr 3, 2026 +12
Idk man I would imagine the women would all be listed first
12
Minguseyes Apr 3, 2026 +1
This is how you get Lindsey Graham as SoW.
1
lurevienne Apr 3, 2026 +5
After that embarrassing court ruling in the East Wing ballroom, he’s looking for blood. He needs a win to show he’s still in charge, and firing high-profile names like Driscoll is the easiest way to signal dominance to his base. Its 100% about the optics of control.
5
SirTabetha Apr 3, 2026 +1
He’s gonna get rid of the remaining ladies, (might just wait until Leavitt has her kid then unceremoniously say she’s not coming back so she can “be a stay at home mom”) then Patel will be next cuz, yuh know…racism. This was always his plan. Hire minorities and women to throw under the bus when things aren’t going your way. Then he’ll probably try to hire his kids and attempt to run the country like it’s his own empire.
1
Agreeable_Crow789 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Isn’t she like going on long term leave anyway?
1
Overtilted Apr 3, 2026 +1
Patel is protecting him hard. Or blackmailing...
1
Notmischa Apr 3, 2026 +1
He is only firing women… and Bovino.
1
Rare_Paper4473 Apr 3, 2026 +29
He's already "joked" about blaming Hegesth and Graham for the war. It's going to end up like every other "joke" he's made about how much he's going to betray somebody. Being exactly what he means. He's not smart enough to lie about what he's doing. When it comes to screwing other people over, he's always dead serious.
29
Lowspark1013 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Hey I'd love to see Graham get thrown under the bus regardless of how much I despise Trump. A fitting end to a Grade A bootlicker.
1
FeistyHistorian Apr 3, 2026 +1
I think Graham may be licking something else...
1
digihippie Apr 3, 2026 +1

1
__Yakovlev__ Apr 3, 2026 +1
Important to note that even Vance was mentioned as a "joke". Which may be the best possible thing to happy with him being the designated successor and all. At least for the likes of thiel.
1
WontThinkStraight Apr 3, 2026 +109
If only there was some sort of Constitutional Amendment that could remove him first. Oh well.
109
Atheist_3739 Apr 3, 2026 +43
People don't understand the 25th amendment. All Trump would have to do even if the 25th is invoked is to write a letter to the President pro tempore and the Speaker and say that he is fine. He would be president again. And it would be up to Congress with a 2/3rds vote in BOTH chambers to remove the president. It's actually harder to remove by the 25th than it is regular impeachment and removal since impeachment is a simple majority in the House and then the 2/3rds in the Senate. The regular impeachment and removal process is what needs to happen
43
Flowers_for_Taco Apr 3, 2026 +10
Yes, the bar for impeachment is lower in terms of votes, but if I understand impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors while the 25th is for disability/incapacitation. In my opinion trump has committed hundreds of high crimes and misdemeanors that would all be impeachable in a sane world. However, I think Republicans would be less likely to go this route because they would potentially be acknowledging some level of complicity to the left and be seen as selling him out to the right. On the other hand, it would potentially be easier for a repub to say they saw trump today and he'd "all of a sudden" lost his grasp on reality to support the 25th. I could see this as being more palatable for them. To be clear, neither is going to happen until/unless dems get 2/3 majorities. I'm just trying to say the 25th has a higher vote threshold but might be actually easier
10
starmartyr Apr 3, 2026 +5
"High crimes" in this context means any malfeasance in office. It does not mean felonies. Impeachment does not require a specific crime.
5
Flowers_for_Taco Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yeah. I agree/understand. I'm just trying to say that for inpeachment there would have to be some specific malfeasance identified and it would make it hard for any republican that was advancing the specific thing to then go along with inpeachment. So not a specific crime, but there would have to be a specific action identified. The 25th they could just say he lost his marbles today. For a specific example, trump 100% should have been impeached/barred from future office for J6. There is no way Jim Jordan would have supported impeachment because he himself was supporting/advancing J6.
1
californicating Apr 3, 2026 +1
High crimes and misdemeanors is an undefined and political term.  Congress can use whatever it wants as long as it can get the votes.
1
digihippie Apr 3, 2026 +1
They are unable to go this route because of $ and their anti democratic Christian nationalist corporate agenda as an entire party and funding base.
1
Phiarmage Apr 3, 2026 +1
Impeachment and **conviction** process. Other than that: 9/10, no notes.
1
NicolasCageFan492 Apr 3, 2026 +1
This is NOT TRUE. Trump could write a letter saying he is fine, and Vance could write a letter back without giving up the nuclear football. Then it would be punted to Congress to decide while Vance maintains control of the nuclear football. Trump would not have power until/unless Congress confirms or fails to confirm Vance’s takeaway. It is true that the thresholds are higher than impeachment, but due to the fact that the 25th Amendment has not been used before this way, **there are no precedents, so the votes could be held via secret ballot.**
1
RCP90sKid- Apr 3, 2026 +5
The 25th Amendment is overruled by letter should the POTUS write on. So...it's a thing bandied around like it is a silver bullet. It isn't.
5
turdferguson3891 Apr 3, 2026 +4
I think the key thing with the 25th is that if his own cabinet and VP are willing to inovke it they probably have the congressional support. They already have Democrats, they just need roughly half the Republicans. And it's nobody's fault. It's not like impeachment where it has to be a high crime or misdemeanor. And the JD just slides right in.
4
gringledoom Apr 3, 2026 +1
Trouble there is that the rest of them don't want JD sliding in. They all loathe each other, and they all think they should be the heir to the MAGA throne.
1
E1M1_DOOM Apr 3, 2026 +1
Without some sort of support from his cabinet, I'm not sure he's up to the task. Is it a low bar? Yes. Do I think he can meet it? Honestly.... probably not.
1
Pleasant_Pen8744 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Source?
1
archa347 Apr 3, 2026 +1
The process goes : VP/cabinet write a letter and assumes power , POTUS writes a letter and resumes power UNLESS VP/cabinet write another letter within 4 days. Then it goes to Congress and the VP stays in power until Congress decides (or Congress can’t decide within 21 days of assembling)
1
RCP90sKid- Apr 3, 2026 +1
It's a flimsy f****** thing and it isn't gonna save us. The only thing that will is impeachment, election, etc
1

It's not a purge. It's just a rearranging of the deck chairs.

Firing bondi to take the heat off firing a very competent general the same day doesn't seem coincidental.
3

Just got rid of the army’s chief of staff, gotta have a better yes man in that position for what he has planned.
4
dvn_grhm Apr 3, 2026 +1
bondi was supposed to testify on the epstein files soon but she conveniently gets fired right before that and doesn’t have to anymore. people are acting like this is a win and yes on some level it is but i think we’re not seeing the bigger picture
1
writeinfreedom Apr 3, 2026 +3
It's time to stop framing everything like it's all up to him. It's not his purge. His cabinet is being torched. And I am wondering if he was getting out ahead of Bondi quitting.
3
InertiasCreep Apr 3, 2026 +4
He's the f****** president. If its not up to him, please enlighten us. Pull the curtain back and let the rest of us peons know who the real puppet master is.
4
writeinfreedom Apr 3, 2026
Just because he's the President doesn't mean the sun moon and stars rise because of him, and Pam Bondi is staring down the barrel of a lot of liability and scrutiny for her role in the Epstein release which was professionally humiliating and legally treacherous for how she mishandled everything. She may have been looking for a way out. In the Iranian war, the Iranians and foreign countries in Europe are more reliable. Trump is not just in control of everything around him. Just because Democrats are fake opposition, don't let that convince you nobody is actively destroying his entire foundation and the basis of his political career until it all crumbles around him in a sad pathetic mess.
0
InertiasCreep Apr 3, 2026 +1
Pam Bondi has been running interference for rich assholes - specifically Trump and Epstein - for a long time now. You think she suddenly came to Jesus because of some scrutiny? Really? You think she threw up the deuces and told Trump shes leaving? He forced her out. She mishandled nothing. Her job was to bullshit, obfuscate, and conceal, so thats what she did. Also, his political career has crumbled so much he was re-elected.
1
writeinfreedom Apr 3, 2026 +1
I never said she came to Jesus and in absolutely no way did I say she would have left for honest reasons. People are fleeing from Trump because his personal orbit is losing all leverage or significance. I think she could have made a calculation that she needed to jump ship. He was re-elected ~18 months ago, and since then his entire base has collapsed, all polls are in the wrong direction, and his brand has become toxic even to Republicans who were once on his nuts. Bondi has been the front-person for an operation that seems designed to invalidate the government and their original case against Epstein, which will in part be used by Maxwell's attorneys to try to spring her later, since they've been arguing for years that the government's case was bad and their handling was too. You misunderstood my point and then ran wildly like you watch too much Kyle Kulinski with that cadence. Chill.
1
RLewis8888 Apr 3, 2026 +3
Trump is between a rock and a hard place. In other fascist regimes, the leader would just un-alive people and replace them with even more inept, more corrupt and loyal followers. But here he's got to play the game at least a little bit and build a case foe his MAGA cult.
3
SmedleyPeabody Apr 3, 2026 +1
So… which one is falling out of a window first?
1
Bakedfresh420 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Look at his first term. He hires incompetents based on vibes then fires them for those same reasons

Dump is a reactionary who is sun downing and is subject to the wind. The only thing you can predict about him is that he will always do what's in his best interest. Dump first, always.
2
Bubbly-Two-3449 Apr 3, 2026 +2
He'll need some very corrupt people in place to interfere with the midterms.
2
WallNumerous3230 Apr 3, 2026 +2
I would guess Gabbard, but she's surely a Kremiln plant to keep Comrade Krasnov in line.
2

2

Self purge please?
2

Hope so. His people all f****** suck anyway. I can't really see how it gets worse. More disorganized it's probably for the best.

1
DrSpeckles Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yes he’s at that stage. Same as last time. Describing them as dump, weak, sick, incompetent, I never really liked him etc etc. everything to cover his own issues.
1
inlinestyle Apr 3, 2026 +1
This is exactly how his first term went. Toxic culture breeds discontent and distrust. He chews through advisors because he’s detestable but powerful. Sycophants gravitate toward him and then inevitably fail to make him look good, so they get blamed for making him look bad. And the carousel goes round and round.
1
GooglyWooglyWoo Apr 3, 2026 +1
Imagine the terror of his suck-ups that realize they may ultimately be doomed downstream now.

To be honest I have wondered if a military conflict could be used to purge soldiers who they feel are not loyal to them in a meat grinder.

I've noticed that 47 likes to load up his officials with additional titles and job respobsibilitses. What with Pam being run over by a bus, will 47 be the next AG?

You’re not his cabinet, you are his cannon fodder. Better get ghostwriting on that memoir!

He was already at the bottom of the barrel when he picked these people. What's he gonna do now- knock the bottom out of the barrel and dig a hole under it?

Yeah well whatever. they all should have seen this coming because he always does this. He fucks everything up and fires everyone around him blaming them for it. All of these people are horrible. I don't care what happens to any of them.

He's got some "very fine people" out there. Too bad he hasn't found them. I do think the doge dudes are manning the WH social media. Maybe Iran's too, lol!

His second administration has been very stable compared to his first — in terms of turnover at least. It was just absolutely insane how many cabinet positions and press secretaries and other rolls Trump burned thru in the first administration. People were barely making it a week because of the shit show.

Good. Hopefully bad actors don't get confirmed the next go around. But even better, hopefully some of them speak out or speak up about the bullshit going on. Not that'll change much, but it's at least another headline against him and maybe it's Epstein related.

He needs to purge himself.

Trump should use his powers and influence to implement progressive policies that actually help people. While it won't absolve him from past sins, it could gain him some good press.
