Yes please. And in public.

There's an urban legend that Antoine Lavoisier was asked to communicate by blinking, after the axe. Also in public.

>"Trump’s Top Goon Will Not Escape Epstein Grilling After Axe > >Former Attorney General Pam Bondi might be out of the Trump administration, but the pressure over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files is not going away. After President Donald Trump announced Bondi was out and being replaced by Todd Blanche as acting attorney general, House Democrats said they would not let the axed Trump official off the hook for answering their questions under oath. \[...\] > >In a statement on Thursday, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia said in a statement that Bondi “will not escape accountability and remains legally obligated to appear before our Committee under oath. She must answer for her mishandling of the Epstein files and the special treatment she has given Ghislaine Maxwell,” Garcia said. \[...\] > >“Even though she has been fired, she must still answer to Congress about the remaining documents, why there have been no new prosecutions, and why she participated in a cover-up,” said Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, who helped lead the charge to release the Epstein files after Bondi refused to do so with the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. > >In February, Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee for a blockbuster hearing where she was grilled over her handling of the Epstein files and given the chance to apologize to survivors \[...\] Instead, she refused to turn and face the survivors and the families of survivors who were standing just feet away from her in the hearing room." \[...\]

So in February she was "grilled" and nothing happened. Why will this time be any different?

tcelesBhsup Apr 2, 2026 +36
She will be under oath. That makes lying a federal crime so if something comes out later, she goes to federal prison and next year this administration will be out of power by one way or another so things will come out. This will be her chance to be the first to testify. I assume she'll pick prison later, but usually you get admission of lesser crimes under oath which leads to new clues to follow. I think the big take away is why the f*** is the Department of Justice under the Executive branch and not the Judiciary?

shit-trapper Apr 3, 2026 +6
> That makes lying a federal crime Madame Tzoe sees a pardon in her future . . .
6
imranarain Apr 3, 2026 +1
100%. She will lie and douchebag will pardon her for it.
1
Vyar Apr 3, 2026 +1
She could refuse to testify and nothing would happen. She will lie under oath to protect Trump and the rest of Epstein’s cohorts, assuming she doesn’t just plead the fifth or refuses to show up at all. Societal laws are not the laws of physics, they have to be enforced by people. So far, nobody with the power of enforcement has exercised it against Donald Trump. Even while Biden was in office. This is why we’re not living in a real democracy, or even a real country anymore. The law only binds the poor.

PatchedConic Apr 3, 2026 +1
Because having the people whose job it is to judge your guilt or innocence also employ the people who are trying to put you in prison is a massive conflict of interest.

__thrillho Apr 2, 2026 +13
She'll be fried

dippocrite Apr 2, 2026 +13
The Dow isn’t at 50,000

asianApostate Apr 2, 2026 +5
I heard the Republicans who are actually chairing the committee already decided the Bondi hearing was unnecessary.  Democrats might say whatever they want but they're not in charge.  The GOP will want to sweep this under the rug canceling this hearing.  They already said the point of the hearing is to question the attorney general but now she's not that anymore.  The entire point of removing her before the hearing was to avoid this hearing.
5
MusicLikeOxygen Apr 3, 2026 +6
It's still a smart move on the Democrats part to release this statement. It firmly puts it on the shoulders of the GOP if it's cancelled. Then their message becomes: why is the GOP continuing to cover for pedophiles?
6
US3_ME_ Apr 3, 2026 +1
Changing a title should absolve you of answering questions about your actions while under it_
1
asianApostate Apr 3, 2026 +1
Hey I'm not saying it should, just the fact that we have allowed right-wing corporate media to lull enough of the American populace to vote for morally bankrupt and corrupt politicians to enable it.
1
marshallaw215 Apr 2, 2026 +184
I hope she buries him
184
hotpackage Apr 2, 2026 +127
She can't without exposing her complicity in the coverup. What she's done likely amounts to obstruction of justice.
127
justin107d Apr 2, 2026 +67
Her lawyer should put together an immunity agreement then.
67
Fried_puri Apr 2, 2026 +25
This isn’t court, that’s not a thing. If she admits under oath that she broke laws she can be prosecuted later. So she’s going to lie, deny, and deflect like usual.
25
justin107d Apr 2, 2026 +11
> So she is going to lie, deny, and deflect like usual. Then she better hope that none of the hundreds who run government rat her out because that will not look good in her contempt hearing.
11
Fried_puri Apr 2, 2026 +2
You’re right it probably won’t go well. But that only matters if we make it to the point where we **can** hold contempt hearings. It’s much more dangerous for her right now if she goes scorched earth and reveals everything, considering who is president.
2
_Panacea_ Apr 3, 2026 +1
She doesn't have protection from on high any longer.
1
ckwing Apr 3, 2026 +1
More accurately, she only (maybe) has protection if she does and says exactly what Trump wants. Even if that means purjuring herself.
1
mark636199 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Trumps new DOJ helped get Maxwell into a low security cushion prison. They're most likely going to continue the cover up hard
1
digihippie Apr 2, 2026 +13
she will get pardoned by a child raping president.
13
shoulda-known-better Apr 2, 2026 +9
They let the rats go free in big scandals like this..... She is definitely going to be squeaking
9
BlackenedVenom Apr 3, 2026 +2
>What she's done likely amounts to obstruction of justice. Understatement of the century tbh.
2
2v4lve Apr 2, 2026 +1
Yep, sole reason she was chosen in the first place
1
Vironmetalrx7 Apr 2, 2026 +56
No, she is still sucking him off...
56
fleshofgods0 Apr 2, 2026 +38
She's too old for him!
38
MikeDinSD Apr 2, 2026 +13
Beat me to it
13
mentaljobbymonster Apr 2, 2026 +7
She dresses up as a school girl
7
Kind-Masterpiece-310 Apr 2, 2026 +8
That might be her husband.
8
dehydratedrain Apr 2, 2026 +3
We know Noem's has a big b*** bimbo cross dressing f*****. Can't wait to see what's dysfunctional about this one.
3
Pretty_Mix_1355 Apr 2, 2026 +3
Only by about 40 years
3
Toomanyeastereggs Apr 2, 2026 +16
Her “husband” is probably into some weird ass shit that Trump has pics of. They’ll do to Bondi what they did to Noem.
16
twitterfluechtling Apr 2, 2026 +11
I'd imagine Bondi had access to some "weird ass shit" regarding Trump and his pals, and might be clever enough to have some juicy copies in case something happens to her or her reputation... She wouldn't have to publish anything herself, there are ways to leak...
11
mentaljobbymonster Apr 2, 2026 +3
Depends
3
Toomanyeastereggs Apr 2, 2026 +3
Are we talking about Trumps incontinence again?
3
mentaljobbymonster Apr 2, 2026 +4
Depends
4
pistilpeet Apr 2, 2026 +2
You mean take her off tv and give her a desk job with a raise?
2
Moveyourbloominass Apr 3, 2026 +1
He was a banker, then opened up his own private equity firm. They're very hush hush about their "relationship."
1
FrinnyC Apr 2, 2026 +2
She won’t, she needs the pardon.
2
CaptainMagnets Apr 2, 2026 +1
Hahaha nah, she's a ride or die.
1
marshallaw215 Apr 2, 2026 +1
I can dream
1
Hefty_Remove7965 Apr 2, 2026 +1
She is wrapped up in this for ages. Wasn't she a Florida ag
1
winterbird Apr 3, 2026 +1
You can tell that it's not going to happen by how cordial he was in the announcement. I don't think anyone else got such a lengthy and glowing one. I don't think he would remove her if she wasn't about to be put under a microscope. This move will probably delay or obfuscate fact finding.
1
hawkweasel Apr 2, 2026 +84
I'm assuming she just won't show up, and will face zero consequences, right? Isn't that how it works now?
84
Critically32 Apr 2, 2026 +48
There will be a DOJ referral as a consequence. *Then* DOJ will refuse to take up the case.
48
hawkweasel Apr 2, 2026 +14
Ahhhh, thank you. I knew I missed a step.
14
Critically32 Apr 2, 2026 +2
There's always the crucial empty gesture. For example, look at those Kid Rock pilots that were *almost* suspended for a whole afternoon.
2
Character-Fish-541 Apr 2, 2026 +5
Or citizen Bondi can contend with the Sergeant at Arms for contempt of Congress. A lot easier now.
5
MistyClit Apr 2, 2026 +3
Absolutely, when it keeps happening, it stops looking like coincidence and starts looking intentional.
3
CaptainMagnets Apr 2, 2026 +1
Isn't that how it's always worked?
1
steve_ample Apr 2, 2026 +12
So long as the first question is what the Dow is at the day of the hearing, my happiness/giddiness index for the day has a solid floor value.
12
sumgaijusthere4civ Apr 2, 2026 +14
Can victims sue her?
14
Agreeable_Crow789 Apr 2, 2026 +10
She just got a new private job. Wonder if this is defending Trump or something and this is being done to make it so that she can’t say anything
10
popsy13 Apr 2, 2026 +6
Ah! That sounds likely, Attorney Client privilege.
6
onthenerdyside Apr 2, 2026 +2
She's probably going back to her lobbying job for Qatar and Kuwait.
2
commitme Apr 2, 2026 +5
I don't accept the passive voice of the title. Consequences don't just happen by themselves. Those of us who demand justice must take action to see it through to the end.
5
SameBodybuilder3263 Apr 2, 2026 +5
She should roll over on him. Tell them everything.
5
whoisnotinmykitchen Apr 2, 2026 +4
I'm assuming she is still accountable to some extent for her actions as AG. Is this the case?
4
SameBodybuilder3263 Apr 2, 2026 +2
She would have to be granted immunity, most likely.
2
BlackenedVenom Apr 3, 2026 +1
And lose out on her pardon?
1
houstonyoureaproblem Apr 2, 2026 +3
“That matter remains classified, and both executive and attorney/client privilege prohibit me from discussing any communications I had with the president or other members of the administration about that issue.”
3
Bruiser76 Apr 2, 2026 +3
There is no amount of plastic surgery in the world that will take the dents out from getting run over by that bus.
3
AGrandNewAdventure Apr 2, 2026 +3
Object permanence has always been tough for Trump. I suppose he believes that if she's not a member of his staff than she can't be questioned for what she did on his staff.
3
khun_solo_dolo Apr 2, 2026 +4
Give her the Cersei treatment the ******* dragon lady **** 👍👍👍
4
Distasteful_T Apr 2, 2026 +2
Won't make a difference Maga now will just hate her and dismiss anything she says that goes against the administration, it's a nothing burger.
2
digihippie Apr 2, 2026 +2
It won't be from lack of trying. Make no mistake they are trying. “Since Pam Bondi is no longer Attorney General, Chairman Comer will speak with Republican members and the Department of Justice about the status of the deposition subpoena and confer on next steps,” the spokesperson said.
2
djsirround Apr 2, 2026 +2
Cmon Pam spill the beans, (she won’t)
2
jimibimi Apr 2, 2026 +2
Good
2
FosterFl1910 Apr 2, 2026 +2
Even if she shows up, we’ve seen this movie before with her yelling at everyone in the hearing.
2
chacotacotoes Apr 3, 2026 +2
She is currently shredding documents, and will claim no accountability since she was fired
2
Wild-Soil3808 Apr 3, 2026 +1
"Pam Blondi" Please call her Pam Blondi. She loves it.
1
Impressive_Fly_4339 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Gooner alert
1
metalyger Apr 2, 2026 +2
Someone picked this headline so it should show up on web searches for Epstein and gooning.
2
cdnmtbguy Apr 2, 2026 +1
Never gonna happen.
1
Raspberries-Are-Evil Apr 2, 2026 +1
She deserves prosecution in 2029
1
slonobruh Apr 2, 2026 +1
Interesting gamble. So now it will be a matter of Trump willing to or able to pardon her in the future.
1
kathryn2a Apr 2, 2026 +1
Bondi needs to be arrested for the cover up of the Epstein files.
1
Acuriousone2 Apr 2, 2026 +1
She was ousted so she can plead the 5th.
1
The_Burgled_Turt Apr 2, 2026 +1
Trump lacks the discipline necessary to goon.
1
Lord_Nurggle Apr 2, 2026 +1
I hope her lawyers are going for an immunity agreement. Oh man I can’t even describe how glorious it would be to see her bury that raping f***.
1
joerilla1967 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Nope
1
theheadofkhartoum627 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Mkay..
1
nomorepumpkins Apr 2, 2026 +1
hope you made enough to afford all the security you're going to need the rest of your life.
1
WelfordMW Apr 2, 2026 +1
Nothing will change in her testimony. Her pardon depends on it.
1
beardbeak Apr 2, 2026 +1
She knows far too much. I expect she’ll end up “committing suicide”, wink wink, soon.
1
Background_Cycle2985 Apr 3, 2026 +1
we're going to need a DNA test on that ghislaine impersonator.
1
Gun_Witch Apr 3, 2026 +1
If anything, she's got a lot of incentive to throw his ass under the bus now. Before, she might have played hard ball under the theory that she'd get a pardon from him or something, that's clearly not gonna happen now so any immunity offers they might dangle in front of her are going to be a lot more tempting. Just, what the f*** were the people around him thinking? I know he doesn't think but still....
1
Fit-Significance-436 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Good, hope this is just the beginning of being held to account. I personally hope she spends tons of money and time in depositions and defense side of court.
1
KneeBeard Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yeah. Like she will actually show up. OH - LOOK - A THING FOR ME TO BET ON ON KALSHI. SO KEWL, I LOVE WHAT WE HAVE BECOME.
1
Quiet_Remote_5898 Apr 3, 2026 +1
i will believe it when i see it. not holding my breath here. there's been 0 accountability.
1
BioShockerInfinite Apr 3, 2026 +1
There needs to be a deep dive into her bank accounts.
1
fredl0bster Apr 3, 2026 +1
Yes they will, stop it. Nothing is going to happen. Bread and circuses continue to work.
1
IndependentReal5788 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Now she’s in trouble ! Probably going told the truth and jailed later for lies ! Then who’s going to pardon her ! You get what you deserve!
1
AmonMetalHead Apr 3, 2026 +1
Oh no! how will I learn about the dow now?!
1
Youseenmycones Apr 2, 2026 +1
If she faces any repercussions for her crimes I’ll eat my hat.
1
Langame_WoW Apr 2, 2026 +1
She’s getting paid off not to testify.
