He was knowingly spreading lies about the 2020 election. In private text messages he admitted the bullshit he spewed every night on tv was absolutely baseless. It’s not like he was simply mislead by Trump. He was an active participant in the propaganda and lies.

maybe he caught wind of what is actually in store for DJTreason?

NappyDougOut Apr 21, 2026 +13
The cashflow of checks finally dried up prolly? 👀
13
elinamebro Apr 21, 2026 +23
Well one of the theories i heard is that Trump started to cut people like him out so they stop "getting a piece of the pie". Basically they said he turned for not getting paid either with money or inside tips.

spacemoses Apr 21, 2026 +1217
He's not apologizing, he's jumping ship.
1217
Hermit-The-Crab33 Apr 21, 2026 +338
He’s only leaving until he finds the next viable anti-democrat ship to jump onto. Same shit different day.

Middcore Apr 21, 2026 +111
Remember when Glenn Beck was "sorry about all that"?
111
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 21, 2026 +34
Is he still around or did he die?
34
Smalldonut27 Apr 21, 2026 +83
He had a “interview” recently With an AI George Washington. That’s where he is currently.
83
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 21, 2026 +48
That is weird and sad.
48
AnotherDoubtfulGuest Apr 22, 2026 +30
“Weird and Sad” also happens to be the title of Glenn Beck’s sex tape.
30
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 22, 2026 +5
I wish I could give you an award, that was a good one. This is the best I can do. 🏆
5
Confusion_of_Goblins Apr 22, 2026 +7
It is both really weird and really cool that we're at a place where computers can create pretty convincing digital puppets of real people.
7
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 22, 2026 +7
Ok nvm that’s actually terrifying.
7
Confusion_of_Goblins Apr 22, 2026 +2
Yeah, it really is. There is some really terrifying tech we're working on. I want to be optimistic about it and hope we'll be responsible but as the saying goes, regulations are written in blood.
2
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 22, 2026 +2
I’ve seen too much sci-fi to be optimistic about some of this.
2
Ohrwurm89 Apr 22, 2026 +2
Nah, that’s just par for the course for him.
2
BOHIFOBRE Apr 21, 2026 +41
Who gives a shit? F*** that guy
41
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 21, 2026 +30
Hey I was just curious but not enough to put him in my search history.
30

playing some 3d chess with political algorithms I see. Well played.
7

Yes he is alive.
6
Veggieleezy Apr 21, 2026 +14
That’s a shame.
14
Useful-Soup8161 Apr 21, 2026 +5
Good for him I guess.
5
CherryPiePicker Apr 21, 2026 +2
I agree
2
tjtillmancoag Apr 21, 2026 +33
His next ship is himself. He’s going to run as a Republican in 2028. Criticizing Trump is going to be very en vogue by that point, and he’ll be able to say he was one of the first to seriously criticize him.
33
LA-Matt Apr 22, 2026 +9
Then everyone can play all of the “Daddy’s home” footage of Carlson celebrating Trump’s second term. He’s disgusting.
9
Due-Zucchini-8520 Apr 22, 2026 +2
I've cleaned toilets during anime conventions and yet I never felt a stronger need to take a shower than after that "daddy's home" speech by Tucker. The ick could be felt deep in my bone marrow and I'm a dude, I don't usually feel the ick.
2
42ElectricSundaes Apr 21, 2026 +8
I think he’s going to run for president and is just setting himself up as the anti-Trump Republican.
8
Mama_Zen Apr 21, 2026 +6
Yep. And if he can get enough maga to turn their lightbulbs on by November, we may be looking at a whole different landscape come January
6
iamagoldengod84 Apr 21, 2026 +22
Even if both of there's are true, he's the only one who has turned on trump and apologized. That's not for nothing. It may be a political career move but I can respect that he is doing what he can to make sure at least Trump loses all his credibility to the group that is the hardest to turn and most stubborn. Theyll never listen to someone outside of the camp. That will make them fight harder. But from inside, or was, this will move very little to the other side but will go far the disenfranchise and reduce motivation for maga associated candidates. Trumps clout was mainly generated for him but even his word will move the needle, this reduces the strength of his word to the main cult. At one point it will only be shapiro, hannity, and Trump's cabinet. Those who haven't jumped ship before the midterms are getting sucked down in the undertow. Maga hit an iceberg and the once unsinkable shit is going down hard and bringing with it all the conservative battle plan developed in the last 10 years
22
Luci-Noir Apr 22, 2026 +10
Marjorie Taylor Greene did it too, which is still kind of shocking. She’s been really vocal and stuck with it too. Tucker sucks, but this is a good thing. If people want to abandon trump it should be welcomed.
10
unfunnysexface Apr 22, 2026 +7
Do not get it twisted: He's Billy Zane grabbing the little girl to get his place on the lifeboat.
7
bearfootin_9 Apr 22, 2026 +3
As long as folks don't start trusting him. I mean, a lot people on the blue side tried to make a hero out of Liz Cheney because she did one right thing after voting with Trump 99% of the time. I'm not inclined to give Carlson much slack because HE KNEW what Trump was and he shilled for him anyway. I think he's just changed the direction of his grift. He, and Taylor Greene, saw the Trump winds changing and are scrambling to adjust their brand for publicity's sake. They're both died-in-the-wool grifters, and gritters gonna grift.

Sufficient-Bid1279 Apr 21, 2026 +21
All of them always do, and backstab each other. It’s the theme for this adminstration (in plain sight)

“I’ve always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves” And since when does Tucker Carlson suddenly feel for slaves
6
BloodyNora78 Apr 21, 2026 +5
It doesn't matter. Whatever it takes for this to be over is okay at this point.
5
Sad-Woodpecker-6840 Apr 21, 2026 +2
F*** him and all like him
2
Smooth-Distribution6 Apr 21, 2026 +2
He's going to run for POTUS
2
tecate_papi Apr 22, 2026 +2
He did the same thing with Bush. All of the neo-Con ghouls of the Bush era successfully managed to repackage themselves as either Bush hating MAGAists or else they are Lincoln Project Never Trumpers. Both groups hope that their time as loyal Bush supporters stays memoryholed.
2
krillthemalll Apr 21, 2026 +193
Apology not accepted.
193
WeedWishes Apr 21, 2026 +50
In my eyes no pro-Trump voter will ever be forgiven. They all have the same blood on their hands.
50
krillthemalll Apr 21, 2026 +19
Agreed, no forgiveness for traitors. I will go out of my way to f*** with them forever.
19
SafeThrowaway691 Apr 22, 2026 +4
Some have more than others. They all need to atone, but some college kid who grew up in a MAGA household and eventually saw the light is very different from someone like Tucker. I could forgive the former with enough self-reflection and groveling. The latter, not a chance.
4
Techno_Core Apr 21, 2026 +52
But he looks forward to misleading people again when the next repub candidate is announced!

He's going to support the next Trump 2.0 and spread lies and propaganda on their behalf.

>Apologizes for ‘Misleading People’ About Donald Trump: ‘We’ll Be Tormented by It for a Long Time’ The only thing that torments him is that now he'll need to go through the trouble of finding another grift to mislead people about.

12
Zapparelli Apr 21, 2026 +7
You apologize? You misled? You knew exactly what you were doing. You don’t get to be like “awe shucks, I f****** lied to people that take my word and based their vote off what I had to say about a compromised candidate” sit on it and spin d*****!

A little too late
6
reddittorbrigade Apr 21, 2026 +9
People like him and MTG are not doing it because they are enlightened. Loyalty is not in Trump's vocabulary. He will throw you under the bus once you've contradicted him .
9
ForbiddenToblerone Apr 21, 2026 +4
He always merely saw Trump as a means to an end – a way for him and his master Peter Thiel to get people they like into power. Only a few years ago, he reportedly said that he absolutely despised Trump. Almost everything Carlson says is a lie.
4
Forsaken-Oven-339 Apr 21, 2026 +4
What can I do with an apology??? It is only to make him feel/ look good. It is hard to but the genii back in the bottle
4
TokathSorbet Apr 21, 2026 +5
Too late, and insincere. You knew what he was.
5
Prudent_Situation_29 Apr 21, 2026 +5
Great, I'm still not buying it. He's trying to save his own skin just like a rat jumping from a sinking ship. He's never felt remorse in his life, and it's not going to start happening now.
5
Carrot_1075 Apr 21, 2026 +3
Hey ~~F~~Tucker. You know who doesn’t need to apologize? John Stewart. He knew you were a fraud in 2004 and he knows you’re still a fraud
3

A long time being approximately 8 seconds.
3

3
vivwestword Apr 21, 2026 +3
“it was not intentional” in regards to lying and gassing trump… oh okay….
3
SmoothConfection1115 Apr 21, 2026 +3
Interesting. Tucker Carlson breaking with Trump. Though he’s still a two-faced liar, saying his misleading of people wasn’t intentional. It was definitely intentional. Though I guess he’s doing marginally better than Hannity. Who decided to stop being a Catholic because Trump and the pope had a disagreement. At least Carlson always hated Trump (per that lawsuit). He was just willing to deal with him because the paycheck was worth it. Just took him a long time to find whatever was left of his conscious.
3
MabelRed Apr 21, 2026 +3
That’s not apologizing, that’s trying to tack to the center when you’re seriously considering running for office.
3
SnivyEyes Apr 21, 2026 +3
Apology not accepted. He’s a piece of trash who helped get us here.

Maybe he should donate all the money he made off those lies if he’s SO tormented. lol
3

Carlson & Rogan are complicit in the downfall of the US. Giving either of these men a second of your time is truly ignorant.

Then goes on to be racist in same podcast. F*** Tucker and his bullshit
3

He's jumped this ship before. He'll be back.
3

3

a little to late in my opinion it’s the same with MTG. They made this happen in so many disgusting ways. And now they wanna flip. Sure it’s fine that they have woken up but they are still accountable.
3
Cultural_Tadpole874 Apr 22, 2026 +3
I subjected myself to listening to this today. His apology comes only after 90 minutes of discussing and validating unrelated white supremacy coded filth. F*** this guy and his family

Oh that’s rich. You endorsed, supported, and campaigned for him in *three f****** elections*. Plus all the lies you told on Fox/your podcast inbetween. You don’t get to go “whoopsies!” now that the house of cards is coming down. You knew what he was about, you knew he was violent, unstable, and a serial liar, and what did you do? You lied on his behalf. Eat a d*** Carlson.

“Misleading”? How about outright lying Tucker
2
Mistrblank Apr 21, 2026 +2
This is an admission of lying. And while we'll be tormented by it for a long time, Tucker there is probably not going to feel to tormented while counting the fat checks he cashed while doing the lying to people.
2

There is no doubt in my mind that the moment there is a new Dem President in office, Tucker and everyone else who supposedly now "regret" supporting Trump will go right back to their relentless propoganda and pave the way for a Trump 2.0.
2
Xynyx2001 Apr 22, 2026 +2
But *he* benefited significantly from all of it. "F*** the rest of you losers," Tucker was heard to say as he collected his Aston Martin from the valet. /s

2

Tucker Carlson is worth at least $50m, and probably somewhere around $250m-$300m with the value of his media company. He won't be tormented by it. Regular every day Americans living hand to mouth while the mega-millionaire and billionaire class cash out on our suffering, will be tormented.
2
Lord_Grakas Apr 22, 2026 +2
And he'll go forward and push for the exact same policies. The only reason he doesn't like trump is that he makes them look bad.

I am pretty sure this is him setting up going hard at advocating for JD Vance to bolster support for him as the majority continue to turn on Trump. JDV may not be salvageable, but that's my sense for Tuck's statements.
1
murppie Apr 21, 2026 +1
A long time? Try generations. You know how (most) Americans felt Russia has been a bad guy after WWII and its only because Putin has pee tapes on Trump that the Republicans think its a good guy? This is how the world frames us at this point. We have been the boogeyman for a lot of countries for a while now, but our allies in Europe have kind of propped us up. But thats gone. All of our alliances are tenuous at best, and destroyed at worst. This will haunt your children, and their children, and likely their children.

From the article: “Carlson told Newsmax earlier this month, “I’ve always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves. He’s hemmed in by other forces. He can’t make his own decisions. It’s awful to watch.” (He’s talking about Netanyahu as the “other forces”) So, he’s not bothered by taking away health care from millions of Americans, decreasing SNAP benefits and making them more difficult to access, cutting back school lunch programs, cutting the food programs to starving Africans and putting American farmers at risk because that program is not longer buying their surplus, trying to disenfranchise millions of Americans, increasing taxes on the middle and lower class to create tax breaks for the wealthy and on and on…Tucker’s ok with all of that. It’s the war in Iran that he thinks Trump started on Israel’s behalf. ***That*** is what he’s mad about. Apology not accepted. Try again.

Keep your damn apology. He doesn't mean it heck he's only doing this because any half blind fool can see where this presidency is heading. No one wants to be smeared with this.

They know the gravy train is about over. Well idk at least he is saying he was wrong that’s something I guess. More than what most are willing to do. To be clear I know he at fault and terrible I’m just saying at least he’s owning up to it in part.

F*** Tucker Carlson. That is all.

Oh! They have started with the apologies already? The rats are abandoning the sinking ship. Soon the rest will follow, then the corporations will reinstate their LGBTQ and inclusion programs, DEI will no longer be a curse word. They will cry and say they are "sorry" and that they were forced and threatened into complying. F them. Soulless pricks.

Dude can't read writing on the wall. I can't fathom what anyone thought Trump would do and then surprised at them doing it. I didn't even need to know what he said what he was gonna do. I just looked at his character, of which he has none. He's slime and sleaze rolled into one package. Nothing good was going to come from putting him in office.

He didn’t “mis-lead” us, he knowingly lied about the truth. He has willingly helped with the destruction of our country from within. If we survive, it will be decades trying to repair everything that has been broken.
