“Oversight” from foreign powers is just piracy or conquest unless you believe that one or two nations make law for the entire world

If Britain chooses to help Ukraine, then good on them.

Britain can legally enforce British law in British waters and transporting sanctioned Russian oil, false flag registration and lack of legitimate insurance for vessels are all illegal in the UK. But they have no jurisdiction in international waters.
