I hope this is AI advertising.

Naw, actually kinda old news, a week or two it's been going on. New model is apparently craaaaazy good at coding, to the point of finding security issues in tons of software.

Yeah your probably right they need an excuse to pump more money into AI as some are now cancelling Data centres as the money pits dry up. It feels like advertising when ive read the stories over the few week as they all love to mention the release. Even in this story claiming to find thousands of potential vulnerabilities.

The Treasury Secretary and Fed Chair having [an emergency meeting](https://finance.yahoo.com/sectors/technology/articles/bessent-pulled-top-bank-ceos-101500660.html) with the top bank CEOs in America suggests that this is actually a real concern rather than just guerilla advertising.

I think the issue is more the code could fall into the wrong hands and exploit vulnerabilities of large institutions.

Yep thats my take. I'm guessing it's been finding heaps of zero-day exploits nobody knew about.
