Lifting of Russian oil sanctions was the worst thing to happen to the Russian oil industry.

Love that for them. Unironically. I hope the sooner the Russian economy and government collapses, the sooner they’ll stop sending thousands to die in Ukraine.

> economy and government collapses Jesus, listnook is so weird. Y'all are so far left you're popping out on the right, calling for millions of innocents to be thrown down the well. Do you even know what happens when an economy and government actually collapses? I promise the millions of innocent Russians who are against this war don't deserve that, nor does Europe when the inevitable terrorism happens across EU as a result of the chaos.

I doubt the death or overthrow of Putin will go as badly as the collapse of the Soviet Union. Shock Doctrine is the sort of thing that you can only really get away with once in living memory, and it’s not like you could replicate those conditions even if you wanted to. More to the point, how *else* do you expect Russia to leave Ukraine alone if not giving up of their own accord? It’s not like Ukraine has the military capability to counter-invade them and force a surrender.

>Do you even know what happens when an economy and government actually collapses? Do you even know what is happening in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion? All the brutal war crimes, ethnic cleansing, genocide, absolute destruction of entire cities and other civilian infrastructure? Ukraine is doing what they need to do to stop Russia's ability to continue their unprovoked invasion. Yet all you can do is complain about Ukraine daring to defend themselves and demand they stop hitting back against Russia because it's hurting the poor Russian government and inconveniencing them economically. Ukraine have the right to defend themselves. By doing this, they are also defending the rest of Europe. Russia is actually an evil empire.

Pipelines are going to become an endangered technology if this keeps up.

Isn't that the pipeline that Ukranians were supposed to fix for the Hungarians?.....yikes.

>The dispatching station is a part of the Soviet-era Druzhba oil pipeline supply chain It's not part of the pipeline, it's what supplies the pipeline. The Ukrainians were slow...to fix the damage to the pipeline that Russia caused to its infrastructure INSIDE Ukraine through battlefield mismanagement. If Russia wants to go back to the way things were with easy money from petro supplies, all they have to do is negotiate a settlement. But they know that they will never be able to seize land from Ukraine a third time after they sue for peace.

Did the Ukranians really decide to blow up the pipeline that was getting on the way of them receiving the loan? Precisely now that the loan is about to get finally approved? Precisely right when Orban is out? I'm smelling a rat.

Yeap you can use logic too. I gues ukrainr thinks it has enough leverage over magyar to do this and still get the loan. Edit:FYI druzba reflow was suppos3 to happen TODAY aswel

Well, Orbán is still in power and he said he'll allow the loan as long as the pipeline is operational.

I don't know......wouldn't it be smarter to choose literally any other oil target? Especially now. I mostly trust Reuters but I'm going to wait until we get more info on this....

Could be a case of Ukraine saying that “everything is working on their end, go complain to Russia now if you want your pipeline working”

Maybe....I just hope this doesn't hinder the loan.

European bureaucrats will make sure it will pass, they have many options. Including labeling new guy "Russian asset" and launching media campaign against him.
