Ukraine does it c**** too- their anti-Shahed-132 Sting drone costs only $2100 and has brought down 4000 in just a few months. Compare that to an American stinger that costs $800000.

stingers were really intended for low flying jets and helicopters at the time they were made.

Absolutely. Unfortunately the US really has nothing that bridges the gap between $C-RAM$ and the $Stinger$. Everything is made to shoot down high speed targets, and expensive as f***. We are in a time of intense downward pressure on the prices of POV and fire-and-forget munitions, and the US is still buying expensive old tech. Part of it is bureaucratic inertia. Part of it is high dollar lobbyists.
