Ukraine is countering the impact of the war in Iran by attacking Russian energy facilities
Increased and effective Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure have prevented Russia from effectively exploiting higher oil prices.

Russia can stop this today by pulling out of Ukraine.

Quite true - by continuing to cripple Russia's oil infrastructure, oil delivery, their shadow fleets, Ukraine is ruining Russia's ability to profit from Bone Spurs' closure. This does mean Bone Spurs becomes even less useful to Russia, while also being almost irrelevant to Ukraine.

Both Russia and the Islamic Republic are being crippled. Both regimes will experience a massive financial crisis soon, leading to their collapse. The world will be a much better place without those evil regimes in power.

Idk, our history of nation toppling in the middle east and Afghanistan doesn't forbode much promise that it will end up better afterwards...

Iraq is a better place now than under Sadamm. Not perfect, very imperfect democracy but it is much better for sure. Nearly all the ME countries are aligned with the US and Israel now too.

Are you referring to Iraq, which is partly governed by Iran's shadow government, or to the more radicalized Islamist Afghanistan and Syria?

Its like the Strait of Hormuz... claiming you did a good job because its open, however it would not have been closed if you wouldnt have started a war. During the cold war US funded and fostered Islamic extremism whenever politically convenient. Now they are attacking all the islamic extremists saying they are the bad guys.

I'll compare whatever I like. Besides, I was referencing this country's history of loosely justified military incursions into other countries based on political need which the current war clearly falls under. It historically has been a shit show that wastes trillions of dollars that could be better spent here. We just started another war that will spend money we're all told we don't have when we ask for things like healthcare. It's ridiculous.

You can compare whatever you like, but don't expect anyone to take you seriously if you're comparing apples to cars.

Both apples and cars can come in red, and are solid objects.

This is propaganda. Before the Russian empire falls, you best bet they will take out their enemies first. They got the worlds largest arsenal of nukes and you never know when the feel cornered

Didn't do it last time it disintegrated

Ultra_Metal Apr 23, 2026 +2
That doesn't make any sense. That would lead to the complete destruction of Russia, which is much worse than an economic collapse.

Ukrainian kinetic sanctions are the only sanctions that work. F*** all the western companies still allowing their products to be used to build drones, bombs, and weapons of terror for Russia.

closesuse Apr 23, 2026 -8
Okay. Then should we lift all sanctions? If it's useless. Let's stop giving money since we're useless? I really want to believe that it's Russian bot and not the Ukrainians themselves who are writing this.

> Ukrainian kinetic sanctions are the only sanctions that work. Literally saying that other sanctions don't work.

It must be wonderful to live in an English-speaking bubble and not have to see what's going on in the rest of the internet...

Ingenious move! Not just the ports, also the pipelines for gas and oil exports.

Why is this news now? That has been true for years. I mean, it's good to report on this of course but it's been ongoing for forever.

the world fuel market is connected. lower supply from russia means higher fuel prices for everyone in the world fwiw.

circleribbey Apr 22, 2026 +18
Worth the price

trialgreenseven Apr 22, 2026 -18
for you maybe, probably not for 100's of millions of people in africa, SEA, South america, etc.

It sucks that they have to pay more. None of us like it. But Ukraine didn't start this fight. If Russian expansion isn't stopped here and now, it will only continue and everyone will suffer harder for longer. If Ukraine surrenders, millions of their people will be tortured and killed and Ukraine will end. If Russia surrenders, the war ends and reparations can begin.
20
trialgreenseven Apr 23, 2026 -21
Russia intends to assimilate Ukraine, not exterminate them. your claims of Russia torture/killing millions if Ukraine surrenders is flat out ridiculous.
-21
the-es Apr 23, 2026 +7
Why would they surrender?

Al_Keda Apr 23, 2026 +1
My claim is documented.

It does suck - but lets not forget, many of those same countries are assisting Russia and prolonging the war - I understand some are hedging and taking deals for c**** fossil fuels, but many are actively helping Russia circumvent embargoes and sactions.. far more that I'd ever have thought possible! Google for "countries in africa and se asia helping russia circumvent sanctions", its eye opening and depressing ಠ_ಠ
10
trialgreenseven Apr 23, 2026 -4
It's mostly central asian countries that are doing that, not to mention Western Europe being biggest purchasers of Russian fuel before 2026.
-4
Fluffer_Wuffer Apr 23, 2026 +3
Ita not so much the oil .. its those countries acting as proxies for importing sanctioned Western technologies, that Russia is then using for millitary purposes.
