Russia is sending waves of drones and subsequent missiles when their Anti Air has been exhausted, Every. Single. Night. For years!  This is very good news.

Although just to put into context - 9 died just now from a missile in Odessa Apartment building

This last missile barrage killed about 18 people and did a lot of damage, Zelenskyy has come out and said that Ukraine needs air defenses.

>As of early morning, Ukrainian defenders had neutralized 309 of the incoming drones. While the majority of threats were eliminated, officials reported that ballistic missile hits and 13 strike UAVs were recorded at nine separate locations. >In the Kyiv region, monitoring groups noted that the final remnants of the drone wave were being cleared in the hour following the main engagement, with air defense successfully downing all missiles directed at the capital. Very misleading headline.

Was about to post the same, multiple people were also hurt and killed (5 killed in Dnipro, 1 person in Kyiv as of a few hours ago). There were hits in Odesa, the port was damaged.

they were 2 separate barrages, one in the evening and one the following night, thats where the kyiv casualties are from. judging by the time of posting this refers to the first one

So much propaganda in this war. And if you say anything you are called pro russia. Wonder what else this reminds us of? Hint its a small country in the middle east.

Is that where you pop out scream at everyone , start a war, say how badass you are then duck your head back down when shit gets real?

First you tell all the other ostriches in your herd that they suck and your national strategy is to drive them apart and that any laws they pass that obstruct that noble goal will jeopardize trade deals and incur sanctions.

They are teaching the Gulf states atm. The US is far behind in drones.

It's kind of funny, if it wasn't so deadly. They really think they're ahead, because they have Reapers and whatever unfinished garbage Anduril is trying to sell them. They're doctrinally fucked against c**** FPVs.

One of the US's latest drones (supplied by one of the Trump families businesses IIRC) is essentially a copy of a Iranian Shahed drone. The US is all in on winning the last war, instead of preparing for the current and future ones. I love aircraft carriers and planes, but drones seem far more cost effective and useful - and they are only going to get better.

Bro what they’re using US tech and were trained by Americans…

At this point, a small group of kindergartners could teach the US a thing or two.

Not after what he u.s. taught them.

Russia countered an Ukraine decoy attack with over $3 billion worth of missiles. Once the primary defense systems were spent the real attack occurred blowing up a refinery and critical radar site. Basically the decoys were balsam, wood drones. Ukraine’s counter attack weapons cost hundreds of dollars each.

This is how you sink a Navy vessel. Swarm it with your c**** drones and exhaust its air defence missiles and ammunition, then send in your big drones or missiles once the vessel has no defence. The c**** drones could have HEAT RPG warheads attached to some of them to take out the radars and radio antennas. The Sea Wiz auto cannons are useless without their radar. This is why the US Navy fleet near Iran is stationed hundreds of miles off shore. Once we have c**** long range autonomous Ai drones, then the Navy will be very exposed to swarms.

It really can't be understated how drastically war has changed in the last five years. And the US and Israel are very, very behind the curve.

Yes it feels like pre-ww1 again. Armys are sticking with missiles and jets (cavalry charge and infantry maneuvering) but tanks and machines guns (drones) are making them overpriced and obsolete.

You can't demolish concrete buildings with small drones

Mazon_Del Apr 16, 2026 +7
True, but you often don't need to.
7
hagenissen999 Apr 16, 2026 +2
If you have enough of them, you certainly can.
2
Specialist-2193 Apr 16, 2026 +1
That would be much much more expensive than a jdam
1
hagenissen999 Apr 16, 2026 +5
Nope. You're flat out wrong. A JDAM is between $25K and $84K, according to official sources. You also need a jet to drop it. You can make a lot of bada-boom with drones for that money, and don't need to risk jets and pilots. An FPV drone with an RPG-7 warhead is less than $500. Do you even fathom how deeply fucked the US is doctrinally?

Specialist-2193 Apr 16, 2026 +1
500$ fpv drone can barely fly 20km. Max like what 500grams of Tnt. That is 1000$ per kg of TNT For 2000pound jdam 50$ per Kg
1
hagenissen999 Apr 16, 2026 +3
RPG-7 are never less than 2 kg. They're much cjeaper and have more boom than TNT.
3
Specialist-2193 Apr 16, 2026 +1
Same goes for jdam. And it does not change the equation. There currently is nothing that can replace cost effectiveness of jdam tier bombs. Only drones that can drop jdam. And they are not 500$ fpv drones

309 drones and all the missiles in under an hour? My microwave takes longer to make a decent bag of popcorn.

Sucks to be the general having to report that one to Putin. Not like I feel any pity for them tho.

Thats great news!!! Horrifying to read when the terror attacks hit. Feel theres a lot of good news lately.

HotFartore Apr 16, 2026 +1
Good. Now they have to send thousands of drones daily to mother Russia military infrastructure as a courtesy with a big smile and saying, Thanks so much! 😃

Funny, but the Ukrainian side regularly reports that all missiles and drones were intercepted, yet damage still appears every time. It's interesting how it happens that when ALL missiles and drones are intercepted, impacts still occur...... Even the article itself mentions it, as another listnookor pointed out, kekw.

Cueller Apr 16, 2026 +2
Yeah its interesting when 300 missiles fall out of the sky and debris hits shit. That stuff has to go somewhere, its not a video game where it just magically disappears.
2
EaRLyHawk924 Apr 16, 2026 -1
But a successful interception of a missile/drone is considered a situation where the target of the missile/drone receives no damage...isn't it...?
-1
Dragonfruit_6104 Apr 16, 2026 +2
The United States cannot intercept all Iranian drone attacks. Ukraine can intercept all Russian drone attacks. We know that Russian and Iranian drone technology is homologous. Therefore, Ukraine's air defense technology is better than that of the United States. I'm not sure which of these logics went wrong.

Impressive post history. What is even more extraordinary is the number of words and letters you've written in this comment comparing to your previous opinions, if one can even call them that way. It looks a nurse in a mental asylum didn't make sure you took your pills.
