Good. Kinetic sanctions on all Russian oil and gas will constrain their ability to sell regardless of willing buyers.

Same for me, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who can't afford any increase. :( It really seems like a bunch of bullshit from the last 75 years is catching up with us all at once.

They never went down. The theoretical price of what it will cost in several months time went down.

Except - once this mess resolves, however it resolves, there will be no incentive for oil / gas companies to lower prices again. They’ll bring them down some and just increase their profits. Just like after Katrina

Russian oil and gas hasn't really been a factor to global prices since 2023. This is mostly down to its rapidly declining production and export ability. Its primary importer Europe is still not buying and the "new" buyers in India and china are restricted via transportation.  The new Ukraine attacks are targeting facilities that are shipping oil to those new customers. Which sort of isolated the russian production or lack of from the global prices.

These Russian hubs are relatively small compared to Hormuz.
