Due to intense fire and the inability to use vehicles, he traveled roughly 10 kilometers by bicycle to reach a designated rendezvous point. Throughout the operation, he remained under constant surveillance by reconnaissance drones and was covered by FPV drones. Ukrainian forces also struck Russian checkpoints along the route to create a safer corridor for extraction. Wow.

This story is the perfect setup for a movie. Maybe a *The Martian*-style one, where plot A covers this guy's capture and escape, and plot B covers Ukraine learning about him and planning his rescue.

This is the sort of story 90% of action movies try to capture the mood of and fail. Just incredible.
