I have no particular love for him but I hope he doesn't resign. Can't see a single other face in parliament I would swap him out for at the moment.

Yeah the endless shit from Reform is to try and get him to resign so they can THEN crow that we need a general election. They are so utterly grim. I've been mildly pestering my local reform candidates as they have declared how they will "remove woke and DEI" but can't seem to say what that even is.
Also the absolute gall of Kemi to keep criticizing Starmer/Labour like... Dear god woman it was YOUR party that has trashed so much of the country and brought about the mess of Brexit. Maybe chill out a bit.

You have to admire how quickly she forgot her party was in Government for 14 years, and how eager she is to blame the mess on Labour. It's like going into McDonald's, breaking the toilet with a cricket bat, then shitting on the floor and blaming the staff for the mess.
I'm not a huge fan of Starmer, but he did say within a few days of winning the election that it would take more than 5 years to fix the Tory's 14 years of mismanagement. A lot of Brits seem to think switching Governments will instantly fix things.

Honestly i think a big issue is that Labour won big not so much due to their popularity but antipathy and dislike of the Tories. But yeah, people seem to think things can be changed magically. Also not taking lessons from America on what happens when you elect populist "say anything to get elected" types

So Starmer should lose his job over the Epstein files, at the same time as refusing to join Trump's war?
Britain has a crisis that exemplifies the struggle of many democracies... social media rules the game, and gives cynical people the power to steer public sentiment. As a result, who can lead?

I am, and Id actually say that from an outsider it looks like Starmer is doing a decent job. But its just realy dumb how he handled Mandelson

He has done far better than I expected. Changing now over this fiasco, and it is massive mess up, could be a disaster for the UK. Kier has close ties with Europe and quite frankly our US relations are in peril because of Trump's madness. We need Kier, even if you don't like him.
I vote we keep him, and I don't even vote Labour, never have in decades. We need closer ties with Europe more than ever. If we lose both the US and Europe we are truly isolated. The US can not be trusted under a Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Johnson administration. It should be very clear how muich they are manipulating things, it's more mafia than leadership, even though Trump keeps saying how great things are when they are clearly not!

I don't historically like labour and didn't like starmer but he has surprised me for the good and if we'd had our go again I'd vote for labour this time round.
even if I didn't like him it'd be idiotic to make him resign right now.

This ‘scandal’ would have been a footnote in the Boris years.
It would be hard to find someone on the same wavelength as Trump who ISN’T in the Epstein files.

The left wing parties need to wake up and stop eating themselves alive with infighting and resignation demands. Right wings parties can have rapist, lying, convicted felons as their party heads and still show a unified front.

so if starmer is being held accountable for this whole debacle is king charles also going to be held accountable for andrews "indiscretions" ? It seems inplausible that he and other members of the royal family were completely in the dark about what andrew was doing

This is such an absurd “scandal”. Just a relentless witch hunt by the right wing press.

I want to know who keeps pushing that guy, he has always had scandals yet is always given high access positions in goverment, somebody is paying/pushing for this.
could be powers in the UK, could be from abroad, I think that is the big question here, why can't fairly smart people who know he is a train wreck waiting happen say no?
its actually only under the current goverment that might end the guys career which is good because Mandy seems like a traitor to the UK based on reports.

Oh please dont let him resign. We need a little bit of global stability right now. Let Trump and Co screw themselves with Iran a little more. Hopefully Americans have their limit.

Holding people accountable is never a bad thing. If everything is brushed of, you end up with a dictatorship like the US.

Starmer lied to Parliament and protected a pedophile who's under the influence of the CCP. This is incredibly scandalous. There's no way he stays in power for much longer.
