Actor not like the character they played? Has to be the one and only time, Christian Bale is still murdering prostitutes.

This reminds me of when Halloween (2018) came out and there was all those would-be “gotcha” articles
“Jaime Lee Curtis claims to dislike guns but yet plays a character who is willing to shoot a serial killer to save lives? And yet you participate in society, curious!”

Lmao one time an interviewer asked Christian if he liked anything about his character in American Psycho, and he just said “uh… I like nothing.”
Same thing with Robert Pattinson in Twilight, and Penn Badgely in You. Both didn’t like their characters, and Robert said he almost got fired during the first movie for playing it a totally different way.

> \“I actually don't particularly like violence. Some people really like it; I don't like it,” she said in a recent interview with InStyle, adding, “When I see artful movement, I can enjoy violence and action because I'm blown away by it the way I would be if I saw an extraordinary dance performance.”
The full quote is something most audiences would agree with. Kill Bill wasn't just violence - it was art. It had purpose and aesthetic. Not just baddies getting capped.

I don't want to cut someone's head off with a sword. But if you pay me millions of dollars to do it, as a gag, for a movie, count me in.

Next she’s going to say she doesn’t enjoy cocaine and dancing with hitmen. Pft.

Tarantino actually discovered Uma on set snorting cocaine and dancing with hitmen and decided to put her in the movie, proving that Oscar-winning writer-directors improvise. Of course, it was entirely because she was not wearing shoes at the time.

I didn't think she minded that, it was the heroin that put a stop to her fun. I really need to watch pulp fiction again.

Shocker. An actor played a role that is nothing like who she really is. That's the very definition of acting.

I hate when actors outgrow their earlier roles and criticize the hand that fed them. Sure in hindsight things look different but I’m sure she enjoyed the success of the franchise at the time. I do know that she has a difficult history with Tarantino and Kill Bill though.
