UN says 1,700 killed in Syria’s Suweida violence, cites possible war crimes

Since the article is paywalled: Context: Clashes between Syrian Security Forces and Druze Tribesman in southern Syria back in July 2025 produced an estimated 1700+ casualties. There’s strong evidence that Syrian troops carried out war crimes such as extrajudicial killings and massacres against civilians.
