A nationwide Jew list? I’m sure the goal is to harass and punish Penn for being an elite and not falling in line with the Trump administration.  (Not saying antisemitism doesn’t exist at Penn, but there are already multiple avenues to report it).

It goes back to when they were cracking down on universities and trying to yank their funding due to antisemitism. They want a list of every Jewish student and they want to ask every single one of them if they're experiencing discrimination and then use that to try to take over the university.

They claim they want to gather information about whether those people have observed antisemitism. That is absurdly simple: just put out the memo to everyone and let the relevant people reply if they want. There is absolutely no need for a registry.

I think this is one of the few times where it’s appropriate to say “Not all men” lol.

You would think that they would want lists of people or organizations known or suspected of being antisemitic rather than getting names and addresses of Jewish students, faculty members or organizations.

If they wanted to ID those who committed acts of antisemitism, one would think that they would put out a memo encouraging those who know anyone who is antisemitic or who has committed an act of antisemitism to report them rather than asking for the names and addresses of Jewish people associated with the University. All you would get would be some of the stories of Jewish students who experienced antisemitism but it wouldn't tell you who was doing this unless these student knew who were responsible for the incident and were willing to name them if they knew who they were.

Applications and every year universities spam you with demographic questionnaires in my experience

They would only know if someone said that they were Jewish or was in organizations which were Jewish.

The whole "demographic" portion of applications for everything from loans, to student aid, to jobs, to welfare has always been a method to collect information to discriminate against marginalized groups anyway. A pertinent recent example is redlining, which we have documented evidence of having occurred as recently as 2020, and anyone who looks at that year and thinks it isn't still going on is fooling themselves. The way it's conducted though, identifying as anything other than White just means you get treated as non-White.  And of course identifying as White if you're not "White enough" is fraud. The exceptionally stupid thing is that some people groups indigenous to the United States are required to document their "blood quantum"(which by the way is only done with these people, horses, and dogs), and must be at least 25% native to qualify as "Native".  But being 75% White apparently still doesn't qualify them to select "White" on the forms. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-secures-over-31-million-city-national-bank-address-lending-discrimination

Agree, and it's important to remind people of this. They just look stupid because theyre playing by different rules and running towards a different finish line. Once you take their motives and endgame into account, their actions become less cloudy.

Zionists have worked tirelessly to equate protesting genocide as antisemitism so much that they have forgotten that all Jewish communities are inherently threatened by the logic of all right wing ideology. It is conservatives and fascists who are always seeking to exclude and marginalize. The colonial project has put Jewish communities in danger by trying to make Zionism and Jewish identity one singular banner, and they have paid a price sacrificing Jewish youth to a war machine that is trying to exterminate the Palestinian people. There is one antisemitism, one logic behind marginalization and oppression. That logic is and always will be right wing. Apartheid is always right wing. Jewish culture, Jewish communities, and Jewish people all have a right to exist everywhere in the world. It is only Zionists who want to put all Jewish people in one place. Zionist Christians and Zionist supporters who are not Jewish tend to support it because they do not want Jewish people in their communities. From every angle, the logic of antisemitism is always right wing.
