4 US and Mexican anti-cartel officials died in a “car accident” in Chihuahua while destroying clandestine drug labs. The dead include the director of the state’s entire investigation agency, basically the top cop on cartel cases. Top anti-cartel officials dying in a crash while actively raiding drug labs in cartel territory? unluckiest coincidence in history…or big time suspect.

Why was the director of the entire agency doing frontline work at clandestine labs? That seems like someone you wouldnt want to have breaching doors and busting up lab equipment.

Probably should investigate whoever assigned that task to him

Always send a red shirt first.

Aurora_Fatalis 1 day ago +2
Riker was the redshirt, by the time of TNG it was the yellowshirts doing traditional redshirt duty.

The other question is why US "instructors" were participating in an enforcement operation on foreign soil. Whole episode is sus.

The DEA does a *lot* of stuff in Mexico, and has done for years. Same for the FBI, and other state police forces send "advisors" etc.

CIA and DEA work hand in hand in Mexico, I guessed wrong but hey ho, makes sense.

I get it but with US government workers being killed you can bet the US is going to find out what really happened. Last time the cartel decided to kill a DEA agent the US basically went to war with them.
70
HomoProfessionalis 2 days ago +226
You must have missed the past year or so if you think the US has any sort of competence left within its administration.

But you get this cool eulogy by Kash where he says he’ll see you in Valhalla.
73
Xijit 2 days ago +58
Oh that gets better: Kash Patel (who is Hindu and his only experience with the military was as a civilian attorney for the DOD) giving a eulogy for Charlie Kirk (a Mormon who's only connection to military service was getting rejected by West Point) and states that they would meet again in the Viking afterlife ... Despite them not being friends and having no regular communication outside of formalities at CPAC events.
58
g0del 2 days ago +29
Quick correction, Charlie Kirk was an [evangelical](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Kirk#Religious_views), not a Mormon. Though I'm pretty sure evangelicals don't believe in Valhalla either.

Say what you will about the Trump Administration and people they’ve rushed through the hiring process, but there are plenty of career law enforcement who’ve been feds for decades, and who are among the best in the world. They don’t take kindly to targeted assassinations of American law enforcement officials. They can solve the case, as long as leadership does not get in their way or otherwise thwart their efforts.
12
Beneficial-Age-4059 1 day ago +5
So they can’t solve the case…
5
avocadoflatz 1 day ago +2
They can … they just won’t because then they know it’s bad for their own business in more ways than one.

technobicheiro 2 days ago +2
ah so now we can finally get them, war on crime lets gooo such a brilliant and novel approach to law enforcement
2
peon2 2 days ago +4
What is the alternative you are suggesting? Just...not trying to do anything to stop criminals because it doesn't always work out perfectly?
4
technobicheiro 2 days ago -1
decriminalizing drugs, i think thats a given but my point is more that you also arent proposing an alternative, you are just saying lets repeat the same policy of the last 3 decades and now it will work because crime is illegal
-1
peon2 2 days ago +2
I mean yes, arresting people isn't go to magically make crime go away, but we should still arrest people that traffic women and children and murder people which is what the cartels do.
2
technobicheiro 2 days ago +5
yeah i think thats how the law currently works and has worked for decades, thank you

2
sharrrper 1 day ago +1
Honestly, unless the authorities are hiding the details to.save face, I'm inclined to believe it was a car accident. Drug cartels don't stage things to look like accidents. Very specifically the opposites generally. They're usually big on "sending a message".

greggld 2 days ago +63
Maybe it was a car accident with bullets?
63
Beard_o_Bees 2 days ago +34
Nah.. they drove off the cliff to *avoid* the bullets, which were crossing the road outside the official cross-walk.
34
greggld 2 days ago +13
Oddly there was no cliff and their car jumped into the junkyard car crusher that was accidently left by the side of the road.
13
JesusHandjobPalms 1 day ago +3
The car jumped but I heard it jumped out of a window like a Russian oligarch.
3
Moneyshot_ITF 2 days ago +184
Any mention on the model/make of the car?
184
TripChaos 2 days ago +96
No, and no other relevant details either. No idea if the 4 dead were 4/4 occupants, if there was another car in the collision + their status, etc. Not even a picture, which could instantly dispel ideas of the car being attacked/exploded. Car bombs are still way more common than I'd like. This is like the most suspicious possible way to report such an event, lol. "These 4 people died. A car 'accident' was what killed them."

I'm surprised they didn't show a clip of Thelma & Louise driving off the cliff.

Car crash /what really happened; set up, ambushed taken to remote location and skinned alive. Lookalike actors chosen to drive same car while other car intentionally crashes into it all visible on Pedro Ruiz Shoe Repair cctv camera to be given to investigators and local news crews. RIP skinned drug fighters

My theory is that they either ran over a mine or a drone dropped a bomb on them. I ain't buying the "accident" thing. May they rest in peace.

ElPanguero 1 day ago -6
Lol at all of the experts in here. Sometimes an accident is just an accident. Its much much cheaper to buy these types of officials than to kill them. If Cartel wants them dead its not faked/staged accidents, that's what idiotic govt agencies do.
