I hate everything about this

Ths-Fkin-Guy Mar 30, 2026 +235
I have elderly parents and a little one at home. In no way have I ever wanted time to go quickly unless its related to all these f****** clowns dying and becoming irrelevant so we can move back towards normalcy, which I increasingly think is never going to return. I miss the 90s and 2000s
235
MaggoTheForgettable Mar 30, 2026 +78
I wish we could go back towards normalcy. I believe we are going to go even further down this rabbit hole due to people in every generation being brainwashed seeing all this stupid shit. Might not happen in the next few years.
78
FoodTiny6350 Mar 30, 2026 -49
Normalcy is only you not seeing it.
-49
MaggoTheForgettable Mar 30, 2026 +40
Normalcy is child molesters, human traffickers, rapists, murderers, war criminals, etc to go to f****** jail. If you don’t see this, then you aren’t experiencing the same reality as the rest of us.
40
FoodTiny6350 Mar 30, 2026 -41
These things aren’t new, what you’re asking for isn’t “normalcy” it’s blissful ignorance.
-41
MaggoTheForgettable Mar 30, 2026 +27
Uhh right because saying i want people held accountable is wanting to be ignorant? Lol
27
FoodTiny6350 Mar 30, 2026 -29
No one said anything about removing accountability. I’m just saying this isn’t new. Humans didn’t randomly pop up as horrific monsters overnight. They’ve always been and acting like there was a greater time is ironic.
-29
MaggoTheForgettable Mar 30, 2026 +16
If you’re pointing out “this isn’t new” as new information then you should take some communication classes. It would save you from looking pedantic.
16
SawkeeReemo Mar 31, 2026 +8
This response cracked me up. The what-about-ism from that other person makes zero sense. Ok, and? Now we know publicly, let’s handle it. Done. “If you’re pointing out this isn’t new info as new info…” I’m going to be chuckling to myself about that for a while. 😅
8
FugaziFlexer Mar 31, 2026 +5
I think the point he’s making is that. Quite literally outside the most heinous of actions done (like ice in the streets gunning down civilians who protest their illegal presence) quite literally all the things we are seeing brazenly did literally occur. It was just in the background and just like now there’s no accountability. It’s jarring and reality break now, because it’s infront of us openly and nothing is being done about it. But similarly flavors of this corruption was occurring and ramping up. Hence why saying I wish we go back to x time especially the time frame you said can be seen to be blissful ignorance. Because most people who are deeply knowledgeable of the decay of American systems point to that time frame and even before being when all these plans to dismantle democracy, Decorum, the spirit of the law, separation of powers and civilian rights that have come or are coming to fruition today really started to pick up steam build to where it is today .

Hey Food and Maggo… let’s choose to get along
-5
FoodTiny6350 Mar 30, 2026 -8
Just so you know, it was even worse back then. You just didn’t have pictures or access to it like you do now.
-8
Moohog86 Mar 30, 2026 +20
We actually had a lot of pictures and access in the 1990's. Magazines, Newspapers, News networks. Life Magazine had amazing pictures. In 1983, there were 50 media companies. Even if many of them wouldn't cover something, some would. In 2011, there were 6 media companies. I honestly feel like I have less access to stuff these days, its just what the algorithm feeds me. Sure some things are upsetting and viral, but that's more because the algorithm wants me upset. Not because it has any interest in delivering the truth of the story like old news editors did. The internet is strangely text heavy too. I guess photojournalism just suffers when everyone has a camera.
20
IllystAnalyst Mar 31, 2026 +6
Remember National Geographic magazines and looking at super rare animals and sea life and we didn’t have videos of people burying already dead fish in sand so they can “discover” them?

Yeah, Dubya and D*** f****** Cheney dragged everyone into a bullshit war over a big lie, and everyone went along with it.
7
Nekrosis666 Mar 30, 2026 +5
Hell, Reagan mined the coast of Nicaragua without Congressional approval after being told off for aiding the Contras and sunk merchant vessels and fishing boats. And that's just one part of the whole mess that was.

The flyover of the NO Kings Protest is a bigger problem to me. The military using attack helicopters to intimidate protesters at a peaceful protest is criminal. I want an explanation, not the usual "we are invedtigating". I want the pilots of those two helicopters to step up and explain their bullshit actions. Flying around Kid Pebbles house just shows the immaturity that exists within the military.
275
slidoffslow Mar 30, 2026 +40
For real. Regardless of who they personally support, they should not have been there in any capacity other than civilian.

“We investigated ourselves and found no wrong doing”
8
9month_foodbaby Mar 30, 2026 +25
Let's see. Kid Rock lives in Nashville. The helicopters would have come from Joint Base Berry Field. The Tennessee Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 230th Assault Helicopter Battalion. So please send your outrage to the Tennessee Governor also, as we like to pretend the states still control the national guard.
25
Due-Gap1848 Mar 30, 2026 +38
The Tennessee national guard doesn’t even have Apaches. The 230th flies Blackhawks and lakotas.  This was a 101st airborne helicopter, that’s an active duty unit. The article even confirms that, with the 101st doing the investigation, that would only make sense if it was their helicopter.
38
Sea-Present-8543 Mar 31, 2026 +2

1
No-Animator-2969 Mar 30, 2026 +6
As dumb as it sounds it is show of force for sure, but those helicopters have some mighty big cameras and sensors and emitters on them too. Its possible theyve sent them for data collection purposes not just low brow intimidation. Although admittedly there are seemingly much easier ways to photograph faces or scan phones, our leaders arent exactly known for using the right tools for the job.

Similar but different guy. I saw Ted Nugent years ago at a local fest. He came out at one point holding an assault rifle and hoisted it in the air before telling the crowd, “you know how we end this war (Afghanistan)? Arm the babies! Give all the babies guns.” It made no sense then and everyone laughed and cheered because “crazy ol Ted.” But now we know…that sumbitch meant it.

Where I'm from you can only salute with a beret on, and that's to commisioned officers only. They then salute back to acknowledge it. Civilians doing it is a little cringe, to me. Saluting soldiers who aren't officers is ridiculous, because we aren't commisioned. Hence, Non Commioned Officer.

Comprehensive_Bed342 Mar 30, 2026 -1
How was it a waste of money?
-1
FakeJackNicholson Mar 31, 2026
How is it not? Lol it’s military equipment used to fly by a washed up celebrity’s house to be used as propaganda that will only work on people that are way too old to join the military anyways. It’s honestly just pretty stupid. And seeing the sign in his house say “Southern White House” or whatever just wrapped it all up as what could only be seen as satire if it had been done 15+ years ago. The amount of money this cost may be insignificant compared to the scale of everything else, but it’s more money than some individuals make in a year just to put on a moronic display of faux patriotism.
0
Comprehensive_Bed342 Mar 31, 2026 +1
Because they need to log flight hours. Being able to log hours practicing locating, identifying and hovering on a new target location is a valuable use of time. I don’t like Kid Rock but it was not a waste.
1
FakeJackNicholson Mar 31, 2026 +1
They could do all of that without Kid Rock being involved to post it online though. I get what you’re saying. If they were flying anyway and needed location practicing then fair enough, but why turn it into what it was? It just seems pathetic to me, like trying to look “cool” in a way that might be appealing to middle schoolers.
1
Comprehensive_Bed342 Mar 31, 2026 +1
Performative towards middle schoolers is an altogether different conversation and something the US military has always been.
1

Fair. But I agree with you that it may not be a waste if done as some operation that would have been carried through anyways and was just used as a photo opportunity, but I feel that if it was being done for that reason then they would not have to investigate it. If that were the intention then there would be a record of the data and the training taking place.
