Ehhh. Army isn't a lockstep unit like most would think. Some people are very strict about shit like this and will be ready to hand down letters of reprimand about it (as pilots are officers or warrants), and that is a steep hurdle to overcome for promotion.  Most likely, a few whirlybird flyers just locked themselves in as 03/4 or CW2/3 for the rest of their careers.

I’m sure the pilots involved will be punished. I’m also equally as sure they did not act on their own, and whoever sent orders down for this flight plan (looking at you Kegsbreath) will be fully insulated.

Kegsbreath probably told them to do it.

There's a lot of things wrong with this, but perhaps the most embarrassing is the fact that at least some of the troops are big enough losers that they want to impress Kid Rock.

We’ve investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong

Kegbreath planned to do this so kid rock can have internet clout. People complained that tax dollars were sent to hover over kid rocks pool so now they need to “investigate”

Why did that military helicopter do the thing they were told **specifically** to do?

Let’s investigating the commander and chief instead.
