Yep, all of the capitalist countries have focused on what’s the cheapest source of XYZ without caring about the implications of outsourcing the most critical resources/components of their economy. They’ve finally been waking up, but it took major disruptions to do so.
China’s meanwhile built up a dominant position in most commodities, even oil and gas where they are a net importer they have tons of global equity stakes - the 2 largest oil and gas companies by revenue are Sinopec and CNPC. People have always viewed semiconductors as an area where China is behind, but in reality most chips/circuits outside of phones/computers are done with larger nodes, and China has built up tons of capacity in those older model commodity type chips/circuits to put everyone else out of business.
Their dominance in solar, lithium, batteries, magnets, and basic circuitry means you can’t build pretty much any electronics without Chinese components.

> U.S. intelligence indicates China is preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran within the next few weeks, CNN reported late on Friday, citing three people familiar with recent intelligence assessments.

106
hackingdreamsApr 11, 2026

They wouldn't, because Russia doesn't have the hardware to ship.
But, it does do a lot of business with the Chinese defense industry, and China's got defense hardware to spare. And they'd *love* to get their radars in front of US hardware at wartime, since it's going to provide them with necessary intelligence for when China makes a move on Taiwan.
I can imagine China's practically giving away the hardware to Iran.

US provides weapons to Ukraine, what difference does it make if China provides weapons to Iran. Don't be hypocrites.

Trump got us in a Russia/Urkraine situation. We are going to need men to fight this war. China gets to send Iran supplies and watch Americans die fighting a war with no purpose. Republicans are coming for your 18-22 year old males now with the draft. Keep voting Republican they will keep us out or wars and will improve the economy Not!!

It's pretty clear that China is driving the whole thing. Pakistan is an acceptable face to USA but China is the puppet master. Amazing how much soft power USA has conceded to China

I don't think China wanted Israel to start attacking Iran like a rabid dog.

I didn't know US intelligence existed. After witnessing the nonsense they started, I doubt such a thing exists.

The classic "anonymous sources familiar with the matter" saying something may happen in the future that nobody can prove or disprove being passed off as "news"

This shit show has more views than The Apprentice.
Still waiting for the episode where the Peace Board gets involved and uses the billions of dollars it has received to resolve the issue.

Are shipments to Israel and PGCC count are going to stop? If not why is this news? Because Orange's tweet?

I mean the ceasefire is basically a great opportunity for Iran to refill its supplies from Russia, China and North Korea. Pretty much expected.

My favorite thing about the book/movie "Hail Mary", was all of the countries working together to make something great. It's a fantasy at this point. A boy can dream!

Good. I wish Iran luck in its defensive war against the two most evil countries on the planet.

US intelligence also indicated that Iran wasn't building any weapons of mass destruction. I don't think the White House particularly cares about much, intelligence perhaps least of all.

Like most Amercan made wars post WW2 ? High US body counts like in iraq typically sway pubic opinion.. China and Iran are allies and trading partners, I expect nothing less..

It not that no one cares, it just everyone knows it. Just like how everyone knows US provides Ukraine, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Israel with weapons.
It's like releasing this as news "American Intel said water is wet - CNN insider reports".
Well yea, water is wet.
