Please redeem the ceasefire codes

Wonder if they asked for the keys to the Fed instead of a monetary advance of $500 to unlock a ceasefire.

I'm convinced Trump is negotiating with some rando at BigIranLeader@aol.com

Does Iran know about this?

Smells like the typical Sunday market manipulation to me, especially with WTI/Brent trading at $110 and WCS at $100.

“Reuters could not immediately verify the report.” That’s all you need to see in that article

Media is complicit as well Everyone is trying to prop this market up
16
erakis1 4 days ago +1
Seriously. Let it fall. At this point, the entire market has been manipulated into a bubble.

Is there a spot price for oil? I thought I heard it was around 130. I could have misheard.
1
famine- 5 days ago +2
https://oilprice.com/oil-price-charts/ Mars and Dubai are trading close to $130.
2
NeverEndingCoralMaze 5 days ago +1
$141 is currently the spot price. That is the number we don’t talk about.

Axios is also reporting this. I kinda trust them more, but at this point, who the f*** knows

resjudicata2 5 days ago +17
I mean only the best people are talking about it. Some say it's the greatest 45 day cease fire in the history of the world. Nobody could have thought they would agree to stop firing at each other for an entire 45 days! Translation: No, Iran doesn't know anything about it and they're hearing about it now along with the rest of us for the first time.

owen__wilsons__nose 5 days ago +6
You know they said the Strait, it couldn't be opened. It couldn't be opened. And you know nobody opened it till I did. They say how did you do that Mr President? How'd ya do it? They call me Mr President. You know we don't even need it opened. I opened it cause some would say I'm a nice guy. I asked NATO to help open it. You know what they said? I cant do that Mr President, I can't do it. Well we dont need your help. I was testing NATO to see their response. You know we'll be looking into our relationship with NATO. We're not sure it makes sense. Have I shown you pictures of my Ballroom? They say nobody's ever built anything like it.

I assume this is the administration's offramp to His Unhingedness's tantrum on Sunday? He seems so desperate for an offramp that he'd drive right off the overpass.

Does Trump know about this? Hell does anyone outside of this article know about this? I expect to wake up to some dumbass Trump tweet talking about nuking Iran followed by nine Iran Embassy twitter accounts trolling him all day.

>Axios reported on Sunday, citing four U.S., Israeli and regional sources with knowledge of the talks. >Reuters could not immediately verify the report. No
1
DrPsyz9 5 days ago +34
Nobody from Iran. From the article: "Axios reported on Sunday, citing four U.S., Israeli and regional sources with knowledge of the talks."

ConfederacyOfDunces_ 5 days ago +18
Iran is not going to do a ceasefire Makes no sense for them. They have the upper hand, Trump is panicking.
18
Daily_Heroin_User 5 days ago +13
Here’s what’s going to happen, because it always happens with Trump. He’s incredibly predictable in his “art” of deal making, be it tariffs or war. Make huge threats with hard deadline, maybe even temporarily institute partial threat > Markets tank > opponent calls bluff > Deadline comes up and markets panicking after bluff called > Trump lies and makes Truth social post saying the other side is being reasonable and wants a deal really bad, extends deadline > markets feel relief and rally > no progress is made so Trump makes huge threat with new hard deadline > never ending cycle.
13
ConfederacyOfDunces_ 5 days ago +2
I agree. That’s exact pattern. My question is, I wonder if one day the Markets finally tell Trump to f*** off and stop falling for this bullshit.
2
Daily_Heroin_User 5 days ago +1
Yeah I mean it’ll depend on the reality on the ground. Markets have already somewhat adapted to Trump’s behavior so you’ll see less selloffs than before on his tough talk until we get actual confirmation because everyone expects Taco’s.

36

It's market manipulation. They want the market to go up so they can sell.
14
bartz824 5 days ago +2
Polymarket taking bets on how quickly Israel kills Iran's negotiators so it keeps the war going?
2
dowdymeatballs 4 days ago +1
Yup Iran already started they have no interest in a temporary ceasefire. They want a permanent cessation with guarantees against future aggression. A temporary ceasefire just gives US/Israel a chance to rearm and consolidate forces.
1
TriXter69 5 days ago +39
Highly doubt this is true, probably mediators or US are pushing this but not Iran
39
AmamiHarukIsMaiWaifu 5 days ago +28
>The mediators told the Iranian officials there is no time for further negotiation tactics and stressed the next 48 hours are the last opportunity for them to reach a deal and prevent massive destruction for the country. Just Pakistan and a couple of other countries trying to push for it. Seems like nothingburger to me.

“Reuters could not immediately verify the report.” That’s included in the body of the article. That tells you everything

Ihavenoideatall 5 days ago +7
One sided push for ceasefire? After that explosive threat?
7
Jaded-Currency-5680 5 days ago +5
they wana lure the negotiators out so that they can bomb them
5
PerfectGanache7134 5 days ago +3
Market manipulation. Makes sense why Trump put out that tweet yesterday. Just bread and circus. Make himself look unhinged, then Iran suddenly wants a ceasefire. He's really getting desperate.
3
Zwischenzug 5 days ago +7
Sure, maybe they can get Iran and the US to pause. In that time, what is Israel up to?
7
imanchats 5 days ago +6
Israel will just drag the US back in.
6
Zwischenzug 5 days ago +1
Right, so any ceasefire negotiation has to involve Israel. But, if Israel says no, or negotiates in bad faith, there will be no ceasefire. All comes down to whether Trump is willing to rein the Israelis in. Trump has signs that he wants a ceasefire at times.
1
alexunderwater1 5 days ago +8
Israel desperately searching for the Iran negotiators GPS coordinates before they make a deal.
8
LuminousSnow 5 days ago +2
Coordinates found: the White House..
2
RadicalOrganizer 5 days ago +5
What's super cool is: before we started bombing them, we already had a cease fire.
5
Mr_HandSmall 5 days ago +2
Another neat part is how the Strait was open before we bombed them. But now it's super hard to open
2
SnailLikeAttitude 5 days ago +2
Is that just the mediators or is anyone else involved
2
AntitheistArchangel 5 days ago +1
According to the original Axios article, mostly. Basically, it’s a last-ditch attempt by the mediators to prevent the war from escalating. The plan involves a 45-day ceasefire in order to negotiate a permanent end to the war. Axios’ sources say the chances of an agreement are slim, however.
1
Away-Effort-7640 5 days ago +2
We have reached a state where it is hard to take ceasefire/peace talks in confidence on weekdays/market holidays.

4
Ko_tatsu 5 days ago +1
Well, that's what you get when you go against a corrupt, integralist, militaristic regime ruled by oligarchs getting rich off the same people they kill in the streets during protests. Iran is no saint either, though
1
awesomes007 5 days ago +4
Why would Iran want a ceasefire now? They’ve got the orange fascist by the balls.
4
SoulBonfire 5 days ago +3
Surely Israel needs to be in the discussion given they started it, or are they too busy stealing Southern Lebanon now?
3
imanchats 5 days ago +10
Israel doesn’t abide by any ceasefires.
10
Aknew 5 days ago +4
Totally ignoring the fact of the continuous rocket fire from that area. Typical nonsense comment.
4
imanchats 5 days ago +7
What rocket fire coming from Gaza? Israel is still hitting and shooting in Gaza and there’s supposedly a ceasefire there.
7
Anthr0pwnagist 5 days ago +1
Absolutely hilarious how the US got played. Israel keeps out of the main Iran conflict, yet still has to be kept in the loop for negotiations.
1
Original_Bite6555 5 days ago +2
Why would Iran accept a ceasefire if it isn't permanent? He has shown he can't be trusted. He needs to take his head out of his ass and end this war.
2
Smok3dSalmon 5 days ago +2
This is to confuse the stock market algos and so Trump can get blood transfusions or whatever he needs for his current health scare.

Ceasefire then open vs Open then ceasefire. PS: Trump is a {insert appropriate derogatory term}
3
emilygrey4eva 5 days ago +3
Trump wanted it to retrieve the downed crew. Reopening the Straits involved asymmetrical conditions with no guarantees the Israelis will honour anything. Would be pointless for the Iranians. The Chinese and Russians want something permanent. Fundamentally different things.

Now everyone wants to try and save face! This was started at great risk and cost to Iranian citizens, all the combatant soldiers and the global economy as a whole. It has been aimless and futile. It just needs to end. A ceasefire is unlikely to last.

45 days to get us back on track. 45 points. It's a 45 day, 45 point, one point per day. We get the 45 points, we are back in business!

Trump and co. seem to have missed the fact that the people in charge in Iran fought and survived an eight-year total war with Iraq. We're talking Iraq using chemical weapons, Iranians strapping themselves with explosives to attack tanks, years of trench warfare, the tanker war in the Gulf, and hundreds-of-thousands of Iranian dead. They're not going to roll over because of a month of airstrikes.
1
thornzar 4 days ago +1
this is incorrect. Iran rejected the ceasefire, as they should.
1
_x_oOo_x_ 5 days ago +1
So is it going to be Bridge Day and Desalinator's Day all in one, or a 45-day ceasefire? Which one is it?

At this point, who the f*** cares. Trump has beaten Americans to a pulp. He seems to also want to beat innocent Iranians to a pulp. Whatever Trump needs to do to feel like he has a 6" d***, get it done for f***'s sake. Then give us all a chance to recover from whatever tiny-d*** Trump decides. Thanks.
