Yeah, I hope it is true. Just really hard to trust anything from the US government, these days.

Couldn’t find anything about motivation for kidnapping her, though I assume in the hopes of using her as leverage? Or sending a message? I’m curious as to why they let her go. Poor woman.

Another article said the Iraqi government released imprisoned militants in exchange for her release.
