UK should back scotland's claim to Trumps golf courses

Release the Epstein files. Trump rapes children.

Knowing trump, releasing those files and that information would be an act of war. I'd be ready to start a new one.

Surely MI6 has a copy?
1
flmbyz 8 hr ago +1
Between MAGA & Musk, that’s enough for MI6 to send out James Bond.
1
ialo00130 8 hr ago +1
The Royals no doubt have a copy of the files. They don't make decisions without hard evidence; the decision to strip Andrew if all his titles could not have been made without that hard evidence. All Charles has to say on his visit is "we'll release everything" and Trump will immediately capitulate.
1
xX609s-hartXx 8 hr ago +1
Nope, the queen just used to protect Andrew because he was her favorite.
1
ialo00130 8 hr ago +1
Two things can be true at the same time. She dies in 2022, his titles were stripped in 2025. That's 3 years where she wasn't protecting him.

Did Argentina help US in Iran war? Or any of Trumps wars? Why do they get let off the hook but UK needs punishing for not supporting a war in which US are the aggressor?
347
Sweet_Concept2211 10 hr ago +352
It makes sense if you view it as Trump sabotaging America's special relationship with the UK. Which works out well for Russia.
352
JG98 9 hr ago +133
Just to be clear, we cannot just put this on Trump alone. This is also on every thick headed oafs that elected the nitwit orangutan and enabled his actions. Screw drumpf and screw those people. No country should ever trust Washington again.

1
GiesADragUpTheRoad97 8 hr ago +1
There’s not been any special relationship with the US, only a transactional one, and it’s been like this for decades. Remember when the US promised to share their formula for the atom bomb if Britain and France gave them what research they had, which they did, and the US just didn’t?

I think its simply american oligarchs supporting their puppet Milei. If his experiment fails, it would discredit libertarians and their dreams of neo-feudalism.
1
John_Mark_Corpuz_2 9 hr ago +21
I don't exactly know but I do remember both Trump and Milei governments tried to do some crypto stuff that either crashed or turned out to be a scam.
21
Big_Department4209 8 hr ago +1
Trump's admin is completely aligned with Milei's policies/ideology, the Trump admin (and I mean admin with all the grifters behind it, Trump himself is too stupid and ignorant to care about Argentina) is doing everything they can to prop up Milei: bailout, loans, publicly supporting him so the Argentinian elites see that the US is behind and keep the support for Milei. It's as stupid as it gets, they are in cahoots to bring forth into the world a new version of conservatism.
1
MonkeyCube 8 hr ago +1
Billions are invested in Argentina by people like Rob Citrone and others, which is why the Big Orange gave them a $20 billion bailout recently when the economy in Argentina faltered. It's all cronyism. That, and they want politics like Milei to spread and take root in the region.
1
el_grort 8 hr ago +1
Trump bailed out Argentina to help get Milei re-elected so he would still have an ally in power there.

Anyone who thinks the US is an ally moving forward under any leadership is kidding themselves. The only way that can change is if Americans actually turn off Netflix for 10minutes and demand accountability put all the traitors in stocks. It's been 16months of blatant crime, corruption and damage around the globe. So far Netflix is winning. Americans can't even stop buying Tesla's 😅

3
karlnite 9 hr ago +3
Well it’s also convenient one of the more corrupt countries with a taste for the finer things and new outsider right wing president has caught Trump’s eye. It’s hilarious how his base will take it as some sorta comradely gesture to a fellow Conservative minded people. Just ignore the fact every world leader he backs ends up in jail for corruption as he distances himself. Surely he is not after some of that corruption money?
3
PlumpHughJazz 9 hr ago +3

But tbh does he really mean to serve the interests of the other 2? I mean ultimately the other 2 benefit off his presidency solely because he prioritizes himself first. In the sense, if Netanyahu and Putin spoke against him he wouldn’t back them either. So it’s either himself or no one and more narcissism and “money making” mentality than sticking with ideologies.

This guy is trading an alliance with the UK for a nominal alliance with Argentina. Just complete destruction of the USA’s hard earned relationships.
125
Anaptyso 9 hr ago +141
Yes, as someone from the UK, it is very clear that the US is now an enemy rather than an ally. It's not just this either. Threats against our strong friend and ally Canada. More threats against another friend and ally Greenland. Vance coming to Europe and giving a speech in which he said the US would interfere in European politics to support hard right parties. It's mad to think that the country which the UK stood side by side with after 9/11 has now turned against the West and gleefully thrown that relationship away. Even if they replaced Trump with a Democrat the trust would still be broken, because they may just then go an elect another proto-fascist again afterwards.
141
No-Inspector8315 8 hr ago +1
That’s what the “Can’t wait till Trump is dead or out of office” gronks don’t understand, the perception from the free west is that if enough idiot Americans throw a tantrum, they’ll elect a psycho that will butcher our alliances for a laugh
1
TooHot1639 7 hr ago +1
Indeed because despite everything Trump has done, his popularity has not fallen that much and the fall is almost entirely due to the cost of living rising over there. USA has shown 2 fingers to Europe and the UK. We're going to have to proceed on the basis that they are no different to China or Russia.
1
BigBlueEyes87 9 hr ago +40
The sad thing is how all of this was so easily predictable. I honestly don't understand how anyone could think Tump winning in 2024 would be a good thing for anyone who isn't incredibly wealthy.
40
ManlyEmbrace 9 hr ago +15
We are all used to republicans being reckless about the environment and tax cuts for the rich/corporations, but this is something entirely new. Even Trump 1 wasn’t this self-destructive.
15
clamsandwich 8 hr ago +1
He's been saying he wanted to do these things since he first ran and was elected, but was stopped by his advisors, cabinet, and lawyers. He constantly talked shit on NATO and our allies individually, that's why Putin got him elected. The only new thing is that he hired more people that wouldn't stop him from doing anything he wanted, which shouldn't be a surprise.

IndividualSkill3432 10 hr ago +80
This is a 4 days old story that apparently this idea was floated round as an option but had no real support. Its not that the US would not do this, but the story had nothing to do with the state visit and was part of a series of measures against various countries. While it does cast light on the US administration and what they think may be possible it has no real policy weight at the moment.
80
Cynical_Classicist 10 hr ago +96
The whole state visit is ridiculous. It just makes the UK look pathetic, Trump bullying us and then we send our Head of State over to fawn to him. And the state visit last year was a bad joke as well.

Why would the yanks even want the King of Britain at their anniversary of independence? Wasn’t throwing off the King part of the point?
36
DatGiantIsopod 8 hr ago +1
Tbh you have to look at it from a realpolitik point of view. Yes on a superficial level it feels like it makes the UK look a bit fawning and pathetic, but Trump is notionally the most powerful man in the world, who is on record as saying that he loves and is loyal to to anyone who is nice to him. Sending Charles costs us nothing in terms of hard policy but has the potential to play into a number of hard policy decisions Trump might make that affect the UK down the line. It's a free roll of the dice and the only thing it costs is a bit of pride.

So? We are not going to change anything because the c*** in the white house is upset to realise that we are not one of his employees. Just keep confirming you are no longer an ally and even our politicians might actually start to get it, it is definitely something they need to accept.
34
Blimflart 10 hr ago +187
In recognition of warming relations post Brexit and a show of solidarity against an aggressive adversary the EU and UK should close all US bases they host and demand all their forces leave immediately. There's no longer any likelihood of them helping European 'allies', in fact they openly advertise their hostility to EU democracies. Kick them out - they are a clear threat
187
LR_FL2 9 hr ago +16
The UK are so intertwined with the US we can’t just cut off ties. Apple, AWS, Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, Mastercard, Swift, VISA thats the complete collapse of our economy. Defence basically falls apart, nuclear deterrent is on a timer before it’s useless without US maintenance. Submarines use US parts, our new Frigates are getting American missile silos. We lose access to a load of our intelligence channels including things like SOSUS that allows us to track Russian submarines in the North Atlantic. Our defence sector takes a huge hit with the amounts of equipment it exports to the US. Around a quarter of our trade goes to the US worth £200b a year We also import a 20% of our energy from the US so while a cutting ties between the US and UK sounds great it doesn’t off set how fucked we are if we just cut ties with the US immediately. We absolutely need to move away from our reliance on them but it will take a long time.
16
Wonderful-Pause1048 10 hr ago +35
I agree with your thoughts. However, the entire process takes time: from the announcement of the plan to its implementation. I hope that the EU is already secretly developing a new defense system, independent of NATO.
35
Poor_Examination_173 10 hr ago +19
Trump does shit without any process or implementation. If EU says they have to leave tomorrow they'll figure it out themselves how to do that by tomorrow, it will be their problem, not EUs.
19
Blimflart 10 hr ago +34
Just the forced closure of only Rammstein would massively f*** up their shit. They are counting on the EU not making a retaliatory move and forcing their hand - that has to change and they need to be made to understand their hegemony is maintained by consent. Consent which must now expire, as well as their empire and shit attitude.
34
thedarkpolitique 10 hr ago +10
I wonder when we will truly reach this point. Or are we waiting about for the end of Trump’s reign? Either way I agree with you. This doesn’t end with Trump if every 4 years they get an extremist and cause havoc.
10
TsukariYoshi 9 hr ago +2
I've said it before, our relations are completely fucked with the rest of the world until we can reform our politics in such a way that doesn't see us lurching from pole to pole every 4-8 years. We don't have the political will for that, though, so I hope everyone's used to the US being that guy that no one invited to the party and everyone is avoiding, but no one has the balls to tell them to leave. The system we have now works just fine for the guys who control how our government works, so nothing will change.
2
thedarkpolitique 9 hr ago +3
I’m somewhat of an optimist. I’d like to think the democrats learned their lesson last time around when they failed to imprison Trump for the attempted insurrection. I would think someone like Gavin Newsom understands that unless and until these people are truly held accountable, as a show of force to the MAGA group so as to prevent it happening again down the line, the relationships won’t get back to normal. If they don’t do that, and hope it will all quieten down with Trump’s death, so as to avoid civil unrest, then I don’t see how Europe would be willing to engage. That would simply be kicking the can down the road and hoping the American right doesn’t gather around another cult leader.
3
iheartjetman 8 hr ago +1
The Democrats are nothing more than controlled opposition. They’re controlled by the same people who control the Republicans. Trump isn’t going to get imprisoned because he’s doing exactly what the idiotic stooges at the right wing heritage foundation want.

This whole Falklands nonsense has been drummed up by Trump and Netanyahu as payback for the UK telling them to both pound sand when they demanded backup and support from the UK against Iran. Melei will do his backers bidding in the hope to draw the UK into some concocted conflict in which the US and Israel will then back Argentina. This timeline is getting even scarier because there is no way the UK will take shit from Argentina over the Falklands.

And? The UN is meaningless because of America and Russia so that will go no where. Argentina haven't got the strength to take them. So all this will do is piss off everyone in the UK and the only good thing to come from it is Farage will lose support from it.
1
BingoLuck 8 hr ago +1
Ok, so if the UK is going to be punished anyway, the UK should remove all support. Including use of its air bases
1
winston_orwell_smith 8 hr ago +1
UK should back its claim to the ex-British colonies that are the USA

v2eTOdgINblyBt6mjI4u 8 hr ago +1
Americans that either voted Trump or did not vote at all, you are to blame for this situation in the world now.
1
Derfel60 8 hr ago +1
Thats fine. Kick all American troops out of UK bases immediately.

Basicyeti837 8 hr ago +1
UK does in fact have the Epstein files because of former Prince Andrew’s shenanigans.

weggaan_weggaat 7 hr ago +1
For not joining in on the initial attacks on Iran and then subsequent efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
1
NetflixVodka 7 hr ago +1
Oh dear. I do hope MI6 don’t have copies of all the Epstein files. It would be terrible if the documents related to Trump somehow became public.

Goa_T4C 7 hr ago +1
Anyway, who care's about what Trump is saying anymore.. ? TACO

smartguy8888 10 hr ago +2
mi piacerebbe sapere in cosa consiste il sostegno! uk ha lo stesso diritto di veto degli usa all’onu, non credo che trump mandi truppe ad aiutare l’argentina !

Not as if Argentina has the economy to undertake a military conflict with the UK right now.
2
veryboredatwork 9 hr ago +2
He wants to get to the oil, Falklands are poised to become an oil economy. Trump is so transparent, he wants to help his ‘friend’ get oil rich.

We back Californias claim for independence from the United States.

2
Fresh_Sock8660 8 hr ago +1
Ah so my theory about the US backing them in exchange for getting bunkers in Argentina for when the nazi empire falls again is materializing.
1
metal_jester 8 hr ago +1

1
mahnamahna27 8 hr ago +1

1
OakenGreen 8 hr ago +1
Or it’s because they already bought Argentina and are trying to get more for the money.
1
lemons_of_doubt 8 hr ago +1
If it was the "USA" saying this not Trump I would say 1. what right do you have to punish a sovereign nation. 2. what right do you have to take and give places you don't own As is I will just ignore this as the raving of a dementia ridden old man. Which the USA's population has inexplicably choisen to represent them.
1
Gibby_Jabby 8 hr ago +1
Lol as if anyone gives a f*** about international law and territorial boundaries anymore
1
Unlikely_Value_1590 8 hr ago +1
Trump should wind his f****** neck in. He’s got enough problems of his own without stirring up shit elsewhere.
