Not only oil... This is complete sea blockade. They are unable to bring any goods by ship. Oil hurts because it stops their income, but being unable to import chemicals, foodstuffs etc en mass is really bad, iran is not an autarky. They still have land connections but shipping is like 3 times cheaper than rail per kg which in turn is like half the price of trucking. And iran isn't well connected to it's neighbours. If that blockade persist inflation in iran will skyrocket.

Oh man, it changes nothing for them, they are a poor country hyped up against the US, you can’t use developed country criteria on them, they only understand force. That’s exactly what the current US administration doesn’t understand.
