Trump: Hits his own head as hard as posible with a brick His fanbase: Masterful gambit sir
141
the_forgotten_tb46 6 hr ago +23
He should've done this from day 1
23
JohnBongoham 6 hr ago +5
Given how it's going maybe he did?
5
Deruji 5 hr ago +3
You know what’s better than one brick? Two bricks.
3
Durian881 5 hr ago +3
Think it's more like Trump hits his fans on their head with the brick and his base cheered that it made them smarter and asked for more.

Hungary did it's job and got rid of a dictator. Now the U.S must do the same.

They simply just voted him out, democracy doing its thing. The US on the other hand, voted him in, also democracy doing its thing, I would love to see him gone to, but what is your comparison supposed to imply?
37
Yourself013 5 hr ago +30
Democracy could maybe do its thing when people exercised their right to vote. Hungary had historic voter turnout yesterday at over 77%. Maybe start there.
30
Specialist-Rope-9760 3 hr ago +1
I love how people automatically assume if more people voted all those people would vote for their particular side
1
smitteh 5 hr ago -42
When the gas chamber and electric chair for the death penalty method is up for a vote you have the right to not vote for either
-42
Yourself013 5 hr ago +18
First off, if you are implying that Trump vs Harris is "gas chamber vs electric chair" then you are out of your mind. And second, if the outcome is going to be one or the other regardless of whether you vote or not, you stand the f*** up and go vote for one you consider "the lesser evil", because you sitting at home and not giving your support means absolutely jackshit. One of those two is going to be president. You don't get a third choice or a rejection. Your choice of staying at home and not voting doesn't magically stop them from getting the office. It just shows that you don't understand the system, and you're completely fine with either "gas chamber or electric chair'.

ContentsMayVary 4 hr ago +1
Classic strawman argument. The choice is not and will not be between the gas chamber and the electric chair, so your comment is completely specious. You are clearly one of the Americans responsible for the USA having an insane paedophile rapist president, and as a result we are perfectly within our rights to despise you.

He’s against democracy.

"Just"? He known to have meddle with election over and over. This election he was defeated hard, he really pissed of so many people that he could not fiddle with election, or even that was not enough
1
Playful_Wrangler7836 5 hr ago -1
Simply that people need to take ownership of their country. Use the power of the people to hold him accountable. Demand change and vote out the corrupt politicians that put him in power.
-1
Alfatic 4 hr ago +2
The American people put him in power. What "corrupt politicians" are you talking about here??
2
dafunkmunk 4 hr ago +1
If the US had 16 years of trump/maga policies destroying the country, yeah he would get voted out too. trump got voted out after only f****** up the country for 4 years and is on track for completely destroying congressional republicans in the midterms after only little more than a year so far with things rapidly getting worse for the gop by the day now. If republicans dont turn on trump after midterms and impeach him, they will get obliterated in the next presidential election after another 2 years of completely f****** everything up likely leading to a similar majority sweep seen in Hungary. trump isn't even capable of pretending to be a decent president to be in a position to dismantle democracy and trap the country with him for 16 years like Orban did
1
Ok-Heat-9297 5 hr ago
Bigger picture, Trump might actually be doing that to himself.

If this actually happens, what does it do to global oil prices by next week? This is terrifying for inflation
13
HitEscForSex 6 hr ago +13
Natural gas just opened 10% higher, Oil 8%. This is before the actual closure.
13
daanluc 3 hr ago +1
Natural Gas is irrelevant because it’s not a global commodity in the way oil is. The US has the lowest natural gas prices in ages.
1
the_forgotten_tb46 6 hr ago +10
Not much change since most gulf states were not able to export via the strait for 40 days anyway Only iran linked vessels were able to export oil
10
Dudedude88 6 hr ago +9
So does this mean if India or China gets oil from Iran the USA won't let it pass?
9
-ToniCipriani- 6 hr ago +14
This is exactly what it means.
14
Steve_10 5 hr ago +3
So what happens if China send their navy to e***** their ships out? Will the US side really try to stop them!
3
_terminal_velocity_ 5 hr ago +5
Until Trump lifts the blockade in a matter of days or weeks after he further enriches himself and his friends through insider trading.
5
Deruji 5 hr ago +1
So two tariffs? Irans and trumps pirate b****? Longjohn peedo..
1
HitEscForSex 6 hr ago +3
It went up 8% already today
3
Aggressive_Chair1470 3 hr ago +1
it changes a lot, actually.  China and India are huge buyers,  currently nations ate in a bidding war for available oil, if China and India suddenly dramatically increase their demand in these markets it will have a huge price impact.
1
the_forgotten_tb46 3 hr ago +1
China will be forced to pressure iran to open up the strait, since they currently support the strait closure
1
Dauntless_Idiot 6 hr ago +1
Only 0-5% of regular daily through the Strait were getting through (all ships, not just oil tankers). It depends on whose numbers you use. One for April said 2 of 30 regular oil tankers were transiting so that's \~8% of regular oil being blocked vs 92% in the original blockade. It was lower than 8% before that.

The US is being so disruptive to everyone, it's like they are single handedly preventing the earth from rotating around the sun.
17
-MangoDown 6 hr ago +3
This is exactly what the Saudis want outta Jared kushner. Capture the market share but keep the same volume steady. Low output Of the oil is an issue but they can relocate barrels to the other hubs not in Hormuz. Sprinkle in a little market manipulation so the Dirty Don gets his cut. Look up who benefits when an opec member can’t sell their oil. This almost feels like a conspiracy if the ones in charge weren’t blatant.
3
Gods_Money2354 6 hr ago +25
Seems like iran has found the most effective way to block the strait: have Trump do it! 🤡show😁
25
Pseudanonymius 6 hr ago +13
He can keep calling for more desperate measures, but the whole world knows which country is most of all on a timeline to fix it. It's just a threat because threatening people into giving him what he wants is all he has known for decades. But people stopped blinking.

Midterms can't come soon enough
7
randytankard 6 hr ago +9
So we've gone from 2-3 day decapitation strike with automagically civil uprising and overthrow of regime to 6 weeks of strike and counterstrike with threats then to a non existent ceasefire and negotiations to now a war of financial attrition of who will bleed out first - The Iranians and their supporters or the US / Gulf States and the rest of the global economy. Meanwhile Israel has been doing whatever the f*** it wants with impunity (so far). What a strategic masterstroke.

Just curious... What naval assets are on-station to enforce the blockade? Or this is just something out of a demented mind?
2
ButterscotchFar1629 6 hr ago +3
They do have two Carrier battle group and two Amphibious ready groups in the area. The CBG’s have Arleigh Burke class destroyers and Ticonderoga Class cruisers escorting them. The ARG’s have a couple of Burkes attached to them each as well. On top of that the threat of US subs as well. It’s all a smoke show, but those are the assets they have available.
3
KiwiTheFlightless 5 hr ago +3
Ahhh I see... I remember USS Gerald R. Ford is somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea or Red Sea and USS Abraham Lincoln is a distance away in the Arabian sea. So I reckon they are rushing their way to Hormuz to meet the 10pm deadline.
3
Md__86 5 hr ago +2
The Gerald Ford has been in Crete and Croatia recently (after the laundry fire) which is ironic because the USA doesn't need anything from Europe. It's almost as if the strategic and geographic relationship benefits both parties.
2
nofxet 5 hr ago +2
Plenty for an area so small. You really just need enough to make the threat credible which having two carrier strike groups in the area provides. What ship captain is going to risk his life and his crews to try to run that blockade so that some Indian or Chinese client can get their oil shipment?
2
KiwiTheFlightless 5 hr ago +2
Another curious question, for Iran who is pretty much backed into a corner, what is stopping them from swarming US Navy with drones and short range missiles? Conventionally, Iran is quite defeated. But unconventionally, they seem to be still going at it. I don't quite see an out for this escalation...

How? For over a month they have too terrified to send in what are probably the best anti aircraft destroyers and cruisers man has ever known to prevent the closure in the first place.
1
Steve_hh 4 hr ago +1
So Iran got it's temporary war goal of blocking the strait completed and they can even be happy that the world is going to blame the US for that now, how block a strait that they wanted to open like it was before the war they started and...? Sorry, I am lost, what exactly was the US' goals in this war again? Ah, no, sorry, I forgot, there were none. It was just Bibi asking for some support. Just get outa there and leave them alone!!

Why do the army do what he says? Why do Americans not rebel?
0
shootinjack 5 hr ago -4
Why would we do that?
-4
ails_bales 5 hr ago +3
Because your president is destabilising the world. World war 3 has never been closer. Because poorer countries are rationing fuel which leads to death and starvation.
3
shootinjack 5 hr ago -5
Imma be real with you. We don’t give a shit. But gas is like $1.50 more now so we will vote for the opposition next election.
-5
ails_bales 5 hr ago +1
Oh don't worry we know this. Hence the usa economy is going to be ruined. Your prices are rising. Your debt is insane. You don't have universal healthcare. Your government treats you like slaves. By the next election "gas" could be 20 dollars.

Iran-linked vessels won't be able to export oil, Iran's most important income. That means that US forces will enter and seize these vessels if they try to break through. Other vessels are already blocked by Iran since weeks. The war will resume within hours or days. US and Israel are preparing for new airstrikes.

Admirable-Drama-432 6 hr ago -4
Blocking a route that carries a huge chunk of the world’s oil… yeah this isn’t just geopolitics anymore, this is ‘everyone’s gas and grocery prices about to feel it’s territory.
