Per CNN: The official said that the passport “will be the default passport out of the Washington Passport Agency when available” for those who renew their passports in person at that location. “Online options or other locations will maintain existing passport design,” the official said. Only some unfortunate DC residents would be unlucky enough to receive this, but they can hopefully just renew online and get the standard passport. Still stupid as f*** and narcissistic though.

Still renew your passport. It’s always good to have and may actually be really fast. I did mine by mail, in March and had my new passport about 10 days later. Granted the place I sent it to was in my state but still, I was surprised how fast it went.

It's unclear whether applicants will be automatically issued the redesign or need to make a special request." So maga of course will drool over these, but the rest of us hopefully won't be saddled with them.

Article states that the design with his image will only be available if you get a passport on person at the DC office. Other avenues if obtaining a passport will maintain the original design. So, if you don't live in DC and want a passport, but don't want Trump's face in it, you're good.

So a cursory google search tells me that the only other countries to have used a picture of a president/leader are North Korea, Libya under Gaddafi, China, Turkmenistan and Iran. So just absolutely great company.
