Translation: "I have also done some gross shit and don't want to get in trouble". What an idiot.

VenusAmari Mar 25, 2026 +97
According to Suge Knight, Usher is his victim and being trafficked. Obviously take anything that dude says with a grain of salt. But Usher did talk about being taken advantage of by Diddy when he was pretty young. Nobody did anything about that then and Diddy got away with things again. If he is being controlled by Diddy, he probably wouldn't feel safe to go against his narrative.
97
Acceptable-Bullfrog1 Mar 25, 2026 +79
He could have started as victim and become an abuser. Diddy might hold blackmail on him.
79
destiny_kane48 Mar 25, 2026 +25
Well he handed a young naive Justin Beiber to Diddy. Then said he'd never let HIS kids go to a Diddy party. So pretty sure Diddy has massive dirt on him.
25
VenusAmari Mar 25, 2026 +12
That could be true as well but so far I don't think he's been accused of anything but the std thing a long time ago. Which, I mean, that's bad enough. That's already terrible though and it's own crime. But, in regards to doing the same things as Diddy, idk that's been accused afaik.
12
types-like-thunder Mar 25, 2026 +8
Oh there is no question diddy is blackmailing all of his artists and business partners with freak off footage. I thought that had been testified to? No?
8
low-ki199999 Mar 26, 2026 +7
Victims can also become abusers. Bieber and Usher got into a heated exchange at an Oscars after party, nobody’s saying why…
7
NobodyLikedThat1 Mar 25, 2026 +18
My first thought too. "Oh he's definitely in the Diddy videos"
18
HereOnCompanyTime Mar 25, 2026 +15
He thinks he's suave but he's transparent. Diddy has shit on him and it's obvious. I'm guessing he's trying to get supporters since he had that exchange with Justin Bieber previously.
15
types-like-thunder Mar 25, 2026 +43
Or... *I miss the d*** and the abuse.*

biscuitsorbullets Mar 25, 2026 +28
Baby oil tears
28
Educational-Wing2042 Mar 25, 2026 +27
Can we stop using “he’s secretly gay” as a made up gotcha any time an evil man does an evil thing? Maybe he’s just a piece of shit who profits off of this, rather than a gay man defending a rapist because he’s just so gay he wants “the d***”.
27
iameveryoneelse Mar 25, 2026 +24
But in this case it’s not a made up “gotcha” there have been mountains of allegations about both gay and straight assault.
24
Educational-Wing2042 Mar 25, 2026 +11
And obviously if he is gay, that’s why he would be defending his rapist, right? Because there’s also mountains of evidence that blackmail and threats have been used by Diddy and yet you’re defending the idea that Usher is defending his rapist simply because he’s gay and d*** hungry.  You truly don’t see how that’s homophobic as f***? If it were a female r*** victim instead of a gay man would you be saying she’s just trying to get into her rapists pants?
11
iameveryoneelse Mar 25, 2026
I mean, yah, maybe, but that’s irrelevant. You’re suggesting people are using gay as some bullshit excuse when it’s because there have been shitloads of claims about it. It’s not something people are doing because “gay bad” or whatever. True or not is almost incidental to my point.
0
types-like-thunder Mar 25, 2026 +2
Gurl I am gay. I know a sub bottom when I see one (snap)
2
Educational-Wing2042 Mar 25, 2026 +5
Disgusting people make jokes about r*** victims.
5
WhatsIsMyName Mar 26, 2026 +3
I know right. This shit Diddy is in jail for isn’t anywhere near his most heinous stuff he was accused of
3
Zealousideal-Cup5982 Mar 26, 2026 +2
He deserves that herpes
2
RuthlessKittyKat Mar 25, 2026 +1
Makes even more sense why him and Bieber got into a big fight recently.
1
darlin133 Mar 25, 2026 +172
I don’t care how great a rapist is. They’re still a rapist Usher
172
the_main_entrance Mar 25, 2026 +22
I would want to know what he is great at exactly?
22
MaleficentOstrich693 Mar 25, 2026 +15
According to that Netflix doc, f****** people over.
15
JoannaCuppa Mar 26, 2026 +3
Raping? Blackmailing women? Domestic violence? Non-criminally - convincing the music industry that saying "uh huh" on other artist's rap songs is legendary talent, AND was great at staying so far in the closet, that he should be in prison in Narnia.
3
Naive-Jello428 Mar 26, 2026 +1
He takes his from the 80s. And makes them sound so crazy.
1
Im_from_the-future Mar 25, 2026 +216
Does being “great” allow you to break laws?
216
boricuaspidey Mar 25, 2026 +102
In this country it absolutely does
102
ttsjunkie Mar 25, 2026 +55
More like being rich.
55
Daily-Double1124 Mar 25, 2026 +6
Trump has entered the chat. :/
6
the_main_entrance Mar 25, 2026 +5
I’ll never classify coming up with perverted nursery rhymes as greatness. These people actually think they’re doing something important. 🤦🏽‍♂️
5
Basic-Collection5416 Mar 25, 2026 +10
Diddy didn’t really do much writing.
10
emp212 Mar 25, 2026 +68
I wonder what Diddy’s got on Usher. The phrase “not recognized for the greatness they offer” seems like a very Diddy phrase.
68
librious Mar 25, 2026 +184
Yikes, now it's obvious why him and Bieber had an altercation at the Oscars party
184
punishhhher Mar 25, 2026 +21
I doubt that was the reason considering Jay-Z is very much a part of Diddy’s world and a very, very good friend of his. If Justin was upset about Diddy or anything that happened to him, he would not be at Jay-Z’s party.
21
Ok_Bodybuilder800 Mar 25, 2026 +47
BTW how has Jay-Z avoided any scrutiny? 🧐
47
Apprehensive_Error36 Mar 25, 2026 +53
Considering he just did an interview where he said rap beefs like Drake vs. Kendrick need to stop, I think Jay-z knows his time is coming.
53
amberlikesowls Mar 25, 2026 +24
That's funny because Jay played a part in Kendrick getting the Super Bowl performance, but now he's changed his mind because 50 Cent keeps clowning him.
24
Ser0xus Mar 26, 2026 +1
The cycle of abuse and reality would like a word.
1
Kaiisim Mar 25, 2026 -14
Not really. Justin is a shitty person and so is Usher and the excuse they were abused has zero evidence other than association.
-14
Ok-Yogurt-3914 Mar 25, 2026 +6
Do you know how old Justin was when his parents sold him to the highest bidder? Everyone in his life failed him.
6
fractiouscatburglar Mar 25, 2026 +10
Oh yeah. I’m sure the sexual assulter just had some young boys living with him while he sexually assaulted many boys BUT not them. Sure! Meanwhile 50 talks about diddy trying to diddle him. But I’m sure THOSE 2, were safe as could be!
10
bbyxmadi Mar 26, 2026 +3
I’m not sure if Usher is a victim or not, but Justin was so young when he was pushed into the limelight, so I definitely understand why people make that assumption. It doesn’t excuse his shit behavior, but it’s not fair to act like he deserved it because of how he acts now.
3
angryaxolotls Mar 25, 2026 +3
they also don't deserve it just because they're shitty people.
3
JoannaCuppa Mar 26, 2026 +2
No snark here: Do you truthfully believe that someone has to be a nice person in order to have been abused? So bad things only happen to good people?
2
Dry_Accident_2196 Mar 25, 2026 +67
Oh, Usher is in that abuse sunken place. Clearly he too is a victim if you tracked his career as a fellow teen star handed over to Diddy and others. BUT, at his big age, he should know better than this so no excuses for caping for Diddy.
67
JoannaCuppa Mar 26, 2026 +1
I have no idea about this in general, but if the rumours about Usher assaulting people are true, I wonder if there's an element of; a) wanting to never be the victim again, and/or b) if he tells himself the people he allegedly abused were consenting, then could he also be trying to convince himself HE consented to his own abuse, and therefore wasn't a victim or raped? Badly worded but not trying to excuse his behaviour remotely. It's inexcusable if the allegations are true, more to understand the rationale, if that makes sense?
1
Ser0xus Mar 26, 2026 +1
It does, this is abused human mentality to a tee. -source: abused person that is honest.
1
Sorry-Secret-2347 Mar 25, 2026 +26
Yikes… he could have kept his comments to himself… greatness but we watched him drag cassie on camera?
26
Equivalent_Pitch7363 Mar 25, 2026 +26
Ew. Bro, we all watched the documentary. We saw him drag Cassie in the hotel security cam. What specifically was misrepresented??
26
nonelectron Mar 25, 2026 +20
Usher is a piece of shit
20
IllMC Mar 25, 2026 +2
He also spread his herpes around. So yeah a big piece of shit.

Imagine opening your mouth to say stupid shit when you can just shut up…
16
mebrow5 Mar 25, 2026 +11
“Great” people can commit crimes too. Everyone should be held accountable equally under the law. Just because you are “great” or rich doesn’t mean the law doesn’t apply to you. I hope society last long enough to realize this someday.
11
sally_says Mar 25, 2026 +12
In all honesty, what "greatness" did Diddy offer the world other than baby oil memes?
12
_mattyjoe Mar 25, 2026 +11
It genuinely feels like America has collectively lost its mind.
11
Bake2727 Mar 25, 2026 +35
Is usher even relevant now?
35
CHIBEARS2233 Mar 25, 2026 +30
Not really. I hadn’t heard about him since his STDs became news
30
LeonimuZ Mar 26, 2026 +1
He had a residency in Vegas that was successful but other than that, not really.
1
GuybrushThreepwood99 Mar 25, 2026 +8
It would have been very easy to say nothing
8
DialogNewsToronto Mar 25, 2026 +15
Pretty sure that's why the phrase justice is blind exists. "Great" people aren't convicted of crimes where they're absolutely guilty.
15
Zaeryl Mar 25, 2026 +1
When the phrase was created, it was idealistic and actually meant the opposite. But if you allow people to use wealth and power against an ideal long enough, anything can be subverted.
1
bbyxmadi Mar 26, 2026 +7
What the hell does this even mean? He may have been highly influential and considered one of the best producers in hip-hop, but it doesn’t mean he’s not a disgusting human being. He was recognized, for years, for his influence in the industry anyway. Now he’s being held accountable for his actions, y’know, cause he literally committed sex crimes? Go away, with your shit take, Usher.
7
JoeIsIce Mar 25, 2026 +8
Wasn't Usher involved in a sexual assault too? Or he got sued for giving someone an STD. Birds of a feather flock together.
8
petlandstockroom Mar 25, 2026 +8
Okay im seeing why Justin screamed at him
8
Routman Mar 25, 2026 +13
Maybe Stockholm syndrome, rumors are Diddy was inappropriate with Usher and Biebs
13
MollyRolls Mar 25, 2026 +6
Oh man all he had to say was nothing and yet….
6
normanbeets Mar 25, 2026 +5
F****** disgusting
5
Jealous_Acorn Mar 25, 2026 +7
Wow, it was certainly a choice to take this stance on Diddy in the year 2026.
7
SimthingEvilLurks Mar 25, 2026 +7
Sounds like they should look into Usher's activities to see what he's hiding. There is no way to misrepresent an abusive a******.
7
xultar Mar 25, 2026 +7
We all saw the video of Diddy beating Cassie. We all heard the stories from the victims.
7
Dingo_Affectionate Mar 25, 2026 +23
Diddy was Usher’s first mentor, taking him under his wing at the age of 13, and Diddy co-executive produced his album. I’m not making any commentary on what Usher or Diddy may or may not have done, but Usher has known Diddy his entire professional life, which might give context on his perception of the man. In many ways Diddy is likely a father figure to him.
23
mattedroof Mar 25, 2026 +8
Heavily parallels Usher and Justin Bieber’s later “mentor” relationship.
8
PeaceBull Mar 25, 2026 +1
Didn’t they just have an argument the other day? Wonder if it was about this
1
Iginlas_4head_Crease Mar 25, 2026 -2
This is too nuanced for reddit. Youre allowed to be on the good team or the evil team and they decide
-2
MegaChorken Mar 25, 2026 +5
Usher is having quite a couple of weeks.
5
potatobywayofcork Mar 25, 2026 +5
Aw, bye bye, Usher.
5
layla_jones_ Mar 25, 2026 +6
People can have flaws sure but Diddy is a criminal. He has been for a long time, remember when he shot someone at the club in the 90s? I think Usher just doesn’t want us to stop playing Need a girl and I don’t know. There are more important things than Diddy’s music. I wish he would stand up for the victims, for Cassie, but it is clear he cares more about business and the entertainment industry. I bet he’s also feeling sorry for Diddy because he had allegations in the past himself - not as many and intense as Diddy but still.
6
chamberx2 Mar 25, 2026 +4
Urshur about to be on time out
4
CarolinaPanthers2015 Mar 25, 2026 +5
Like, um......was Usher just really being so got damn serious while trying to say, uh, "good things" about Diddy following his most recent sex trafficking trial? Well, of course we will just never ever ever know. But the only thing that we DO know here is that Usher was just really WAAAAAAAY right outta pocket for making attempts to defend the now-embattled rapper and mogul. Ohhhhh, he just sure as motherfucking hell has a whole lotta damage control to attend to right about now.
5
THEbaddestOFtheASSES Mar 25, 2026 +6
Ok Usher. What’s Diddy got on you?
6
Altruistic-Chain3662 Mar 25, 2026 +6
Interesting he would come out with this after the “altercation” with him and JB
6
TR1N1_CDN Mar 26, 2026 +1
What happened...
1
DesiredNameWasTaken Mar 25, 2026 +5
Every once in a while I catch myself wanting to watch Usher dancing in the rain during the guitar solo of the U Got it Bad music video. That ends today.
5
TR1N1_CDN Mar 26, 2026 +1
Right... looking at him in a different light after this comment 😳
1
SonofTreehorn Mar 26, 2026 +6
What a dumb ass.  He’s on video beating the f*** out of his girlfriend. This single act should mean you are done to most people. I guess Usher believes that talent overshadows domestic abuse.
6
No_Feedback_5399 Mar 25, 2026 +3
So this comment leads me to believe that usher and Justin got into it because usher was trying to convince JB to say that diddy never did anything to him, but JB wants to stay out of it. Obviously all speculation, but if usher is saying stuff like this 🤷🏿‍♀️
3
sonatashark Mar 25, 2026 +5
This is how every abusive POS with too much power at every level speaks. “They’re free to go at any time.”, “No one is holding them against their will.”, “They should be grateful for the opportunity.”
5
Willow1883 Mar 25, 2026 +3
I think you meant to say, “If you’re talented, you should be allowed to be a criminal.” That’s a bit clearer.
3
Neither_Transition_7 Mar 25, 2026 +4
Not saying anything about Usher’s integrity bc I don’t know- but let’s also remember Diddy filmed ppl in compromising situations and still has outside contacts/press access.
4
Legitimate-Pea-9421 Mar 25, 2026 +5
I'm glad Justin Bieber yelled at him

WTF! Crimes apply to all you b******.
5
impl0sionatic Mar 25, 2026 +4
The psychology of his willingness to make a fool out of himself in public for that man’s benefit is probably *fascinating*. If all the chatter about Justin Bieber having real conflict with Usher lately is legit, then it’s gotta be about this topic broadly. Uncommon Bieber W for sure.

Usher going down too.
3
Stingray88 Mar 25, 2026 +3
It is indeed total BS that only certain people are prosecuted for their crimes and others get away with it… but fixing that doesn’t mean giving the ones who were prosecuted grace. It means actually going after all of them, like Trump. F*** Diddy.
3

It is okay to say you had a different experience around him. It is not okay to try to defend what he did to others. Whataboutism is bullshit. Let them catch who they need to catch.

Usher should be on a list
