It's not under threat. It's not a ceasefire anymore ffs. They've attacked each other.

Yeah but they did, eventually, cease firing. So checkmate.

Basically every fire exchange is a series of very short, punctuated ceasefires, sometimes as short as 10 milliseconds.

The Iranians would say that the ceasefire only lasted a day.
Since then, the American blockade kicked into effect, and Iran continued to restrict Hormuz. Israel have also continued its attacks in Lebanon. All three were critical components of the ceasefire. And lastly, of course, the original ceasefire was only agreed for two weeks. This one is a unilateral American declaration, which isn’t how ceasefires work.
All we have is a continuation of hostilities via (largely) economic means, which both sides feel serves their goals.

They can work that way. They can be a one sided offer and the other side *can* agree to it by actions - not firing.
And while this ceasefire had violations before, the numbers of attacks from both sides was significantly reduced, so it was somewhat working for Iran vs USA/Israel. Until this week.

This is Trump we're talking about, for all we know he didn't consult anyone and this is the first time anyone's heard about the ceasefire, US military and Iran included

Tell that to Russia

I said that they *can* work, just contradicting the claim that it *never* works that way.
But that Iran is more reliable than Russia isn't the biggest news on the planet, is it?

Isrealis has been bombing Iran lately and Iran has been bombing uae. Which is probably an indication that is all they can hit they were sending missles everywhere they could reach at the start of this. They may just be afraid of drawing the Saudis into things though.

Both sides are claiming retaliation, but if ships and coastal areas are being hit, this ceasefire is barely functioning. Calling it intact feels more political than realistic.

If there’s shooting at each other, it’s not a f****** case fire. Period. It’s not “under threat”, it’s non existent by \*definition\* ffs

There has not been a single day without an "exchange of strikes"

I wonder how many times Trump has floated the idea of a nuclear attack to his inner circle. That guy is such a reprehensible human being

Who could've seen this coming from Trump's Bored of Peace? Of course he'd offer a Seas-Fire and attack some ports.

Well, US will resume attacking Iran directly and Iran will resume attacking any shipping trying to use the strait.
