He's gonna lose to Rubio.

It wouldn’t surprise me, Vance is an insincere creep. I’m still bracing for the Democratic front runners.

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing these last couple weeks. Rubio can definitely rally the neocons while still coming out of a MAGA administration and beating a lot of the online 4chan-style bigotry accusations

The primary will be Chuck Schumer, Bernie sanders and Hillary Clinton! Edit: adding /s. Poorly executed jab at the DNC fielding candidates who have been eligible for social security for 10+ years.

It'll be AOC, Newsom, Kelly, Shapiro, Whitmer, Buttigeig and (hopefully not) Kamala.

Mark Kelly is the only one who has a chance. Americans won't elect a gay man. Americans have had two chances to elect a women and both times not even other women came out to support them. We need an old, apparently straight, married to a woman, nominally Protestant, white male. That's it. If the Dems run that, they win. If they run another diversity candidate, they get another ass-whooping, same as the previous two times they've tried it.

Don’t forget Kelly

Rubio can be defeated by simply telling him to stfu and get off the stage.
1
8bitmorals Apr 1, 2026 +1
Or to remind the GOP that he is Hispanic.

I have my money on Tucker Carlson, he is the philosophical heir to the cult. Especially if the Iran Invasion can be pinned down on Israel, and if AIPAC becomes toxic.

Rubio is probably going to OD on coke before this administration is over.

Independent-End-2443 Apr 1, 2026 +1
If I were Vance, I’d sit this one out. Republicans are likely to lose in 2028, given how unpopular Trump is, so he may as well let Rubio take the fall. Plus, he’s still young, and he can come back in 4-8 years with a relatively clean slate, because American voters have memories like goldfish.

Vio_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
Vance will never get back to this level again. This is his one shot.
1
Nikiaf Apr 1, 2026 +1
Exactly. He was, is and always will be a nobody, his only claim to fame was attaching himself to the 2024 GQP ticket.
1
InertiasCreep Apr 1, 2026 +1
His only claim to fame is Thiel buying the VP spot for him on the 2024 GOP ticket. FTFY

iamamuttonhead Apr 1, 2026 +1
Agree. He is the least genuine politician imaginable at a time when people crave genuine people. Ask a Trump voter why they voted for Trump and they will inevitably say he is genuine. The fact that he's a genuine grifter, pedophile, rapist, shits-in-his-pants, demented, narcissistic creep seems irrelevant since he doesn't hide it.

JaronJervis Apr 1, 2026 +1
absolutely, Vance has MAGA stench on him, he's not coming back from this ever.

Darkstar197 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I told myself trumps political future is done on Jan 06 2021

Independent-End-2443 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Eh, hard to say. Nixon lost in 1960, and then came back in 1968, amid LBJ's unpopularity because of Vietnam.
1
JaronJervis Apr 1, 2026 +1
Nixon was a bigger deal than Vance ever was, even before he became VP under Eisenhower. Trump is no Eisenhower.
1
Kerbonaut2019 Apr 1, 2026 +1
JD Vance wishes he was at the level that Richard Nixon was. Say what you want about the Nixon presidency itself, but he was seen as far more capable and formidable of candidate than JD ever has or ever will be.
1
Independent-End-2443 Apr 1, 2026 +1
True, Nixon was a policy heavyweight compared to JD Vance. At the same time, he was not very likable, and was a pretty flaming racist as well. Vance shares those qualities.
1
Kerbonaut2019 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not defending his gross beliefs, but Nixon at least had the political acumen to avoid saying things publicly that would cost him potential votes. JD doesn’t seem as cautious. Maybe that’s just an effect of the 24/7 media cycle, though.

Vio_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's what happens when you're Elon's personal stooge and not having to crawl up some of the hardest political bloodbath arenas like the California GOP.
1
ShermansFieldOrder66 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Well...there is a way he could still be president.
1
BatlethBae Apr 1, 2026 +1
He is Trump's VP he will always be attached to Trump. He can never shake that.
1
Independent-End-2443 Apr 1, 2026 +1
He was pretty hard anti-Trump once, and he shook that just fine. Vance is an unscrupulous snake, and voters will believe whatever they want to believe.
1
BatlethBae Apr 1, 2026 +1
He shook that because 90% of people didn't know who he was then.

This administration is really terrible at keeping secrets. It's leaking like a sieve, and/or the Titanic.
1
themattboard Apr 1, 2026 +1
Who could have guessed that an administration full of liars, opportunists, backstabbers and sycophants wouldn't be able to keep a secret?
1
NoCoffee6754 Apr 1, 2026 +1
In the stock room of an Ashley’s furniture no doubt
1
dolt1234 Apr 1, 2026 +1
JD couldn't win a couch f****** contest.
1
Terminated_Entropy Apr 1, 2026 +1
Are we sure about that?
1
bensquirrel Apr 1, 2026 +1
Was the meeting in Saudi Arabia or Israel?
1
WritesAndPrivileges Apr 1, 2026 +1
I can't imagine anyone wanting to vote for either of these two spineless sycophants.
1
turb0_encapsulator Apr 1, 2026 +1
I wouldn't be surprised if some idiot right-wing celebrity ends up being the the 2028 Republican nominee. Once you dismantle the system, it isn't going to be there for you. Spencer Pratt is the only Republican candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles.

twirlingmypubes Apr 1, 2026 +1
The press found the hidden entrance to the Legion of Doom?
1
Imaginary-Ad-7919 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It looks like there’s a sense of desperation in the headline.
1
PJballa34 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Wasn't so secret then huh?
1
JaronJervis Apr 1, 2026 +1
This fatfaced chipmunk JD, could actually be a bigger joke than Trump actually running for a 3rd term. Neither neocons have a prayer for support, as Rubio is a boring a****** who couldn't hold the attention of a MAGA for 4 seconds. This is what happens when a party like the GOP is taken over by a group of people so desperate to win, they'd destroy our economy, our international relations, and even 50-60% of public trust just to win. They Made the GOP about Trump, now without him, what is the GOP other than a bunch of MAGA personalities looking to normalize demented orange behavior.

Afvalracer Apr 1, 2026 +1
Vance/kirk..
1
Chemical_Tension_617 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Trump picked him as VP because he didn’t want to be upstaged. It’ll be fun to watch the slobbering over Trump trying to be the next MAGAt chief.
1
KidKilobyte Apr 1, 2026 +1
At this point, billionaires donating to Trump or Vance proves we live in an Oligarchy. They really don’t care if the world burns.
1
MaligatorMom2 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not so sure Rubio will be a viable option either. Rubio has lost the trust of most Independents who expected him to be the adult in the room, not a sycophant that will happily wear shoes 3 sizes too big for him. MAGA diehards are too racist to vote for a Hispanic.
