If only his dad realized he was a racist piece of shit and a disgrace to the human race and killed himself out of shame, before he had the chance to impregnate the ghoul that was Mary Trump.

To the eternal question of "if you could go back in time, would you kill baby Hitler?" my answer is no. Instead, I would try to get him away from his abusive father & help Adolph get an art scholarship to travel the world so he can see all of the beauty in diversity. But with the question on whether I'd kill baby Donald my answer would be if I could jump back an additional 40 years & arrange for an "oopsie" to happen to lil' Fred Trump. Or maybe even just have teenage Freddy carry a bit of radium in his pocket before that got regulated.
92
adeon Mar 26, 2026 +66
The other issue is that killing Hitler doesn't magically solve the social and economic problems that he used to gain power.
66
Hestiathena Mar 26, 2026 +39
This is sadly true. If it hadn't been Adolph, it would have been someone else. The conditions were already there. The resentment was already there. The ideas were already there. Things might not have unfolded the same way or as... effectively, but some level of shit would have gone down at some point. Much like the Trump regime now, the Hitler regime was a symptom, not the disease.
39
Frowny575 Mar 26, 2026 +28
It is still absolutely wild how you can damn near lay side by side the rise of Hitler and Trump's administrations and get an exact parallel.
28
Zealousideal_Rise879 Mar 26, 2026 +11
It certainly looks ritualistic
11
Hestiathena Mar 26, 2026 +7
Indeed, especially when they try so hard to *force* a parallel, either to the Third Reich or some other instance of blatant power-grabbing (i.e. trying to get another 9/11 or Reichstag Fire style event to happen to justify implementing martial law, a merciless crackdown on all opposition, and cancellation of midterm elections.) It's basically Cargo-Cult Fascism.

Edward R Murrow- "The actions of the junior senator from Wisconsin have caused alarm and dismay amongst our allies abroad and given considerable comfort to our enemies,” Murrow said. “And whose fault is that? Not really his. He didn’t create this situation of fear; he merely exploited it - and rather successfully". Trump and McCarthy are very similar in that regard.
10
Todespudel Mar 26, 2026 +7
And there were other people waiting in line to replace him. He was no singular figurehead pushed to the front like trump, but just happened to become the head of an already existing, pushing movement were "anybody" could've stepped up. The question is of course if things would played out differently with an other person in charge. If Hitler stopped after he reclaimed the territories lost in the first WW. "nobody would've said anything" and the war could have been other then. And that would have changed the whole 20. century. But that doesn't matter anyways today.
7
rowdydionisian Mar 26, 2026 +14
Eh, in this case the shit apple doesn't fall far from the shit tree. His father was a famously racist piece of garbage who defrauded state, local, and national governments out of money through real estate fraud to the tune of millions. He also denied applications of black renters for no reason other than their ethnicity in the 1970s. His father's father was also deported from Germany for desertion during WW1. Their first business in America? A whorehouse. This family has been rotten and cowardly for at least 3 generations, and they seem to love not fighting in wars and stealing tax money through various schemes. Also they're probably all womanizers/rapists, and we know at least one is a pedo, wouldn't be surprised if that was also generational though. They all have reports of domestic physical abuse as well, with the current Trump even hitting little girls in the face according to one Epstein file. Can't wait for their name to become irrelevant.
14
BadmiralHarryKim Mar 26, 2026 +54
If only his pimp grandfather hadn't dodged the draft in Germany and fled to America.
54
Ancient_Ship2980 Mar 27, 2026 +3
His maternal grandfather, who fled to North America to avoid conscription in Bavaria, ran two gaming halls, saloons and brothels in Canada and the U.S. Trump's maternal grandfather established the family fortune. It is the irony of all ironies that Trump called for the deportation of illegal immigrants engaged in crime. That description fits Trump's own grandfather

12
fadka21 Mar 26, 2026 +11
“Bugger” is a British slang term for a person, usually an annoying one, or one that is otherwise disliked. A “beggar” is a poor person asking for money. Which makes more sense, in the context of Austin Powers?
11
JohnGillnitz Mar 26, 2026 +12
So if a Bugger is engaging in buggery from port to port they should cover their mast?
12
Katyafan Mar 26, 2026 +3
Oh, behave!
3
iPirateGwar Mar 26, 2026 +13
Correct that is why we use both terms in the U.K. Filthy Beggars and Filthy Buggers. They are effectively interchangeable.

Then he should’ve dealt with it in a therapist’s office instead of flooding the world with his narcissism
36
donkeyrocket Mar 26, 2026 +14
That'd require him to internalize that his issues come from within or that in some way he is the problem. His narcissism doesn't allow for that.

By all accounts Fred Trump was an extremely supportive father. He tried to bail him out of Taj Mahal by buying chips to make loan interest payments, paid for repairs on a lot of projects, and just outright transferred him cash. Donald was the one that followed his foot steps and Fred was proud.
40
sociotronics Mar 26, 2026 +79
>By all accounts Fred Trump was an extremely supportive father. Financially, maybe. But Fred Trump was also an abusive narcissist (like father, like son). If you're familiar with narcissistic family dynamics, Trump was the "golden child" and his brother Fred was the "scapegoat." The third brother, Robert, was probably the "invisible child." The exact same dynamic has been recreated in Donald's family: Eric is invisible, Don Jr. and Ivanka are golden, Tiffany is scapegoat. Trump, like any narcissist, is the way he is because: (1) In childhood, his formative role models told him some version of "you are weak, worthless, stupid, and an embarrassment to the family" (for Trump, this person was his father) (2) He internalized these beliefs, and still holds them today. They're buried deep, deep inside beneath mountains of denial, but they are there (that's why whenever something reminds him of these insecurities, he flips out) (3) His "I am the bigliest smartest Wharton man billionaire" schtick is a false persona, a lie he tells everyone but especially himself, to try to repress the internalized belief that he is worthless he inherited from his father. If you want to read about what the Trump family was actually like, check out what Mary Trump has written about it. Trump is every bit his father's son.
79
Alieges Mar 26, 2026 +19
You know Fred Trump was a piece of shit when Woody Guthrie wrote a song about him being a piece of shit.
19
CarpenterRadio Mar 26, 2026 +36
One could describe a father who helps you bury a body as a “supportive” father. Though I wouldn’t say it’s conducive to a well adjusted state of mind.
36
JM_Amiens-18 Mar 26, 2026 +20
Yeah it's his mother who was reportedly not much of a figure in his life, [this article goes into greater detail](https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/11/03/mary-macleod-trump-donald-trump-mother-biography-mom-immigrant-scotland-215779/).

quicktime_harch Mar 26, 2026 +10
My old boss (now deceased) went to school with Trump and his father was NOT supportive, and he apparently spent his entire life trying to impress and measure up to his father, who was awful to him. Maybe he gave him money, but he didn't approve of or like his son very much, by all accounts.

That reminds me of when I graduated from Tech school. It was a small school (Triangle Tech) and I was a small program (Mechanical Computer Aided Drafting and Design). When we started there were 7 in my class. When I graduated, I was first in my class.... And last. I was the only one in my class.

That is SUCH a cool field though! I studied general Design Drafting but my dream has always been nuclear medicine or X-ray technician. Not good enough at math or chemistry to get into either though. Your specialization is so freaking cool, I didn’t even know there were such specific drafting paths

I have to ask, since it is Donald Trump we're talking about here. Did you just make that up as an over the top parody, or is that something that actually happened?

Grandpa served in WWII. He had a medal holder that he never talked about much (He never talked much period, but he especially didn't talk much about WWII), with one exception. He had an award that he referred to as his Farmer Award. Because it was given to him for being Outstanding in the Field. Nothing to do with Trump, or politics in general. Your comment made me think of Grandpa and smile, and I thought you should know.

Actually, 8 year old Jimothy McAdams of Smackover, AR won the First Annual Donald Trump Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence, but handed the physical trophy to the President for unknown reasons. Trump insists that by act of forfeiture, this makes *him* the inaugural recipient of the award. /s

I just remembered that he also won the Patriot Of The Year award from the Fox News Patriot Awards in 2024 lmao. And I remembered it because I was going to comment that he's eventually going to announce some dumb shit like the "American Patriot Awards" where he wins all of them, and had to Google it to make sure that wasn't something that had already happened. What an embarrassment.

There's a weird Netflix/youtube show out right now in which the main character is a super powerful AI that traps people because it's lonely, and it behaves a lot like Trump. (The Amazing Digital Circus) I don't think that's what the writers were going for but it's kind of eerie how similar the behavior pattern would be of a hypothetical bored AI frustrated by the limits of its power. It almost makes you wonder if the guy is similarly missing a core piece of humanity. Like, what if he never genuinely connects with anyone, and no matter how many people lavish praise on him it's never enough, and so he keeps just escalating the outlandishness of his behavior in hopes of feeling validated, but it's never enough and never will be enough and never could be enough, because the existence of even a single critic will always make him insecure enough to lash out violently without regard for who is hurt or how? That is what I really fear about the man. He has no real limits and yet every time he faces pushback of any sort, he lashes out violently against whatever target is convenient. Whether that's blue states, "sanctuary cities", or the particular foreign country on his mind this week.

It's more of a "please sign the TSA funding deal we can't have air travel this fucked up" bribe. He's very susceptible to shiny bribes
43
punkr0x Mar 26, 2026 +29
Why do Republicans need to bribe him? They control both houses of government and could surely override his veto to fund the TSA if they work with Democrats.

Big gift, expensive gift, but I can't tell you about it. I hate this guy.
84
QbertsRube Mar 26, 2026 +41
Imagine the wild conspiracies that MAGA would come up with if Biden had announced that Iran had given him a big, expensive gift and he couldn't say what it was. Fox News would be "just asking questions" on a daily basis speculating that the gift was a harem of teen hookers or a voting machine hack or something. But with Trump it's just another big win for the genius negotiator.
41
PotentialAnt9670 Mar 26, 2026 +6
The award goes to another school, you wouldn't know it.
6
IsopodOk4756 Mar 26, 2026 +3
Do his supporters talk about this in normal conversation? Just all "ohh Cletus did you hear Iran is giving Mr. Trump a big, secret gift" "I sure did Daryl, I wonder what it could be! Maybe a nudie calendar, or a lifetime supply of dip, or a brand new civic" "our president is so great, he deserves this gift for the good job he's doing!"
3
unjustempire Mar 26, 2026 +5
I’m pretty sure he just confused the gold taken from Venezuela as being a Peace offering from Iran. Not that this is new but no one has any clue what he’s talking about and no one from that White House wants to admit he’s senile and confused the two.

Yeah Walz first used "weird" which is also very apt but now it's really just straight up pathetic. No idea how a single Republican, Congress down to voters, have any sort of self respect anymore coddling this narcissistic a****** every step of the way while he just flings shit right back at them.

It’s a very small consolation to watch Mike Johnson and the other republicans debase themselves for Trump. This war is anything but America First. We’re going to feel the pain from this for a long time and we’re getting nothing out of it.
18
AlexZivojinovich Mar 26, 2026 +9
We didn’t learn from Vietnam, the country’s obsession with “terrorists” is just a substitute for “communists”. Republicans readily admit that if the people were allowed to vote without constraint and red protectionist/gerrymandering laws they’d never have a majority again. Gotta keep the masses preoccupied with a war. If they really believed in the right to vote they would require every citizen to vote and make the day a national holiday. But we all know that’s not what they want.

Trump is the "participation trophy" poster kid.

Ancient_Ship2980 Mar 26, 2026 +10
Who would have guessed it! Trump is the recipient of the America First Award. Trump's MAGA base continues to resemble a combination of a religious cult and a cult of personality. The MAGA base keeps gulping down the noxious Kool-Aid that fuels their psychotic delusions and deification of Trump. Ironically, a handful of Republicans such as MTG and Boebert are now styling themselves America First, as opposed to MAGA, Republicans. They say that Trump has forgotten his promise to put "America First."

It’s f****** weird as HELL that everyone around him seriously treats him like he’s a 6 year old boy needing the “good job little guy” shit all the time. So f****** creepy and weird.
22
Expert-Upstairs-4502 Mar 26, 2026 +4
Ive been saying this for a decade but yes, trump is a grown ass toddler with daddy issues that was not loved enough as a child and thats why we cant have affordable healthcare and living wages and affordable consumer goods, etc etc
4
StandupJetskier Mar 26, 2026 +6
No, wearing shoes that don't fit that he gives you is "Creepy and Weird". Getting your face hacked up to Mar a Lago face is just sad on many levels

passedlives Mar 26, 2026 +7
I wonder how many of those jerk offs have railed against giving kids partipation because it is a hallow gesture to make them feel special for just showing up?
7
kinkgirlwriter Mar 26, 2026 +6
Republicans giving the toddler in chief the prize out of a Honeycombs box is a little on the nose.

Is there a way for us to transport Trump from award show to award show for the next three years so the adults in the room can actually run the government?
12
EyeTea420 Mar 26, 2026 +20
Where are these adults you speak of?
20
SlinkyAvenger Mar 26, 2026 +9
That's basically what's being done right now. Stephen Miller is the one actually calling the shots.

Is it not terrifying to anyone else that the largest military in the world is controlled by a demented cry-bully-b****-boy who is bribed so easily with a shiny gold participation trophy and flattery? It's pretty clear how Russian intelligence got their claws into him in the 80s/90s.
5
Feeling_Reindeer2599 Mar 26, 2026 +5
It’s the imperial eagle in gold leaf for those of you who missed it. Pathetic that President has 36% approval rating in USA. 100% approval rating in Republican congress.

tomgratz Mar 26, 2026 +5
Johnson is a slathering sycophant always eager to spit on Trump’s knob.
5

Aren't his supporters most likely to be bitching about participation trophies? And people just keep making up trophies to give him, lmao.

Really starting to wonder if we could quietly duplicate the White House near Mar-a-lago and let him think he's still the president, but it could be more of a prison sentence. He could receive medals and fake videos of leaders telling him what a good job he's done. It would cost less and we could run it like he's the star of his own Truman show
4
turtleneck360 Mar 26, 2026 +4
There is something sinister and very, very wrong about what's going on behind the scenes. It's not hard to see Trump as old, demented, dumb, and senile. He has a history of doing or saying stupid shit. What I can't wrap my head around is how SOOOOOOO many other people, who were once sensible, become to stupid. There's been talk about fear of being primaried, the privilege wanting to be privileged, money, etc. I honestly don't know. It could be one or many combinations of things people have tossed out. But none of that really strikes me as THE reason. It just doesn't sit right with me how many people are falling in line unless something big is happening underneath our noses.

Gee, I wonder who’ll win it next year? This will for sure not be something they give him every year until he’s gone and then we never hear about it again
4
rjross0623 Mar 27, 2026 +3
Let’s just send all of our participation trophies to the White House. He really really loves to be recognized for anything. F****** child

I don't think I've ever seen or imagined a Speaker of the House giving up all pretense of power to bend over for a President.

Wait till he starts wearing Gaddafi style military uniforms adorned with medals. I’d love to see the mental gymnastics MAGA twist through to justify something like that.

“America First” reward? Even MAGA is questioning the validity. Nothing that has been done has been “America First…” Trump & Rich Buddies First is more like it.

What a Good Boy he is! Our president is so Special, so Amazing and Hard Working! In fact, why not have him be the ONLY person to win the "America First" Award? No one has Ever done that before!! That would make him truly Special and Unique, we are so Blessed to have him as our President! Such a Good Boy deserves Treats like this! They could take him out on a Walk of Excellence so he can show off his new shiny ~~To-~~ Trophy! He should get millions of ~~Pet-~~ Praises from the American People. Truly, no one has deserved it more 😇 Edit: formatting, and this is obvious sarcasm f*** that guy.

Mattrockj Mar 26, 2026 +3
At my old job we got company jackets to wear at social events and company functions. They were really high quality, and actually super comfortable. However when ordering them, one of the co-owners (whom I might add was very conservative) said he wanted his to be special. In that text conversation, when asked what he meant by special, he simply replied "special one". So in the office we all agreed it would be super funny if we followed those "specifications" exactly. Everyone else got a black flannel jacket with the company logo on it, looked very uniform, and pretty cool. HE got a red flannel, with the company logo, and the text "Special One" written just below it. Needless to say, he wasn't exactly thrilled with the one he got, but everyone else got a good laugh at the fact he couldn't complain since we followed his directions precisely. What's funnier though is he still wears that jacket, even after being offered a standard one like the rest of the company.

Trump is embarrassing and out of control, but it's the Republicans who can stop this and won't because they are spineless or they are happily on board with his nonsense.

Trump is so broken inside. He’s delusional and the Republican Party continue to infantilize him. They give him trophies and tell him he’s the best. I wouldn’t be surprised someone cleans his ass for him, too.
