Kari Lake is obnoxious. I had a buddy who used to work with her at Fox in Phoenix (phoenix's fox affiliate not the fox news channel) and he told me that she was without a doubt the most loud mouthed and pretentious person he ever met

I worked with her for more than 10 years. 99.9% of what came out of her mouth, was written by a producer and in the teleprompter. There's zero way she would have kept her anchor job for that long if she was allowed any input into the show. I found her to be dumber than a box of rocks.
It used to piss me off that she'd come to work at the same time I did, but with her hair wet and no makeup, and then spend 2 hours getting camera ready. Like hey I had to put myself together before I got here. But honestly it was the best thing she could do, it kept her out of causing trouble for producers.
I will say that all my time in news, no one pressured us to run certain stories because they presented a certain political viewpoint, never once. The editorial staff ran the gamut of political opinion. You didn't have to be liberal to get hired at the NBC affiliate. Politics were beside the point. We did all focus on the demographic watching the show that came right before the news, because the ratings were all that mattered. So if 'single men' were the demographic, we'd try to run a few stories that would appeal to them, or women or whatever. Dogs were the common denominator though. Could never go wrong with a dog story.
Also, I remember her being liberal. I'm unsure when she went all in on Trump but like everything else with Kari you cannot look for logic.

When we were still in the office pre-COVID during Trump 1.0, my MAGA co-workers would openly admit Alex Jones was a nutjob and even laugh about it. But they would also excitedly say to each other "did you what InfoWars just posted!?" So, they openly acknowledged he was bullshit artist, yet still treated him as a news source.

Just because it was made to counter Nazi propaganda does not preclude the use of American propaganda in its efforts.
After WWII it played a vital role in spreading misinformation about the Soviet Union in order to further Cold War efforts. So you might wanna recheck your information.
The only thing it did in earnest was to broadcast the wins and losses during WWII accurately to gain trust with the American people. Everything else is tentative.
