In this case, the warning sign in Florida is flashing blue. That's kind of the point. It's not red anymore.

It's not so much that Democrats are taking over, it's that independents, non-party affiliated voters, and even some Republicans are voting in protest of the current GOP candidates. If I remember right in Florida Republicans turned out in higher numbers than Democrats and Democrats still flipped that seat in a district that should have been an easy Republican win historically.

Going up a quarter is one thing, going up by over a dollar and a quarter in a month is quite another. The effects are immediate and people notice.

What? My comment wasn't about gas prices. It was about the Florida election. I focused on that part. The gas prices are Trump's fault, by the way, but I still wasn't talking about that.

I will laugh so hard if this happens, not because it is funny (it's not) but because it is the conclusion to a massive, collective act of denial of reality. One Florida district just flipped as have some other minor ones). Remember Taylor Swift and how the Swiftie Wave was going to rock the vote? Hype isn’t voting and Dems talk big but flake out. Now, high gas prices, that’s a Republican core issue that could sting them.
