Watson reveal

Posted by Gust_Gred-10101

I don't see a sublistnook for the show itself, so I'm posting this here instead: By this point, it would be more shocking if Sherlock ISN'T being imagined by Watson.

It's funny how there are no less than four relatively modern shows this post could be about.

Modern, sure, but as for still airing new episodes, I think it's only the one. And that one is literally titled Watson, so that didn't leave me much room to phrase it more clearly.

They better wrap it up quickly. The Watson series was cancelled this weekend.

Umm, no, it wasn't a spoiler, as I posted early enough in the episode that it wasn't confirmed yet. Educated guesses are NOT spoilers.

For someone who knows nothing about the show even a theory about this is a spoiler.

Watson is the name of the series. So, yes, I did in fact state the name of the series in the title of the post. I can't help the fact that characters with the same name (and basic concept) appear across multiple tv series, films, and books. The original post was as clear as I could make it without making a point to single out this version's ethnicity or gender (compared to, say Lucy Liu's portrayal, or Arthur Conan Doyle's original version), which some on the internet consider offensive to even be mentioned.

Do you think this is your personal space? Why would you think that a post about a show without mentioning the show is a great idea?

Why would you just blunder in accusing him of something he didn't do?

Actually, I didn't catch it until Watson said he needed someone else to see him...I thought it was a good twist but no mention of it in next week's trailer?

They've been actually hinting at it ever since "Sherlock" appeared on screen in this series. First of all, there was the dead giveaway that Sherlock refused to let anyone else see him. That's an extremely old trope across all of fiction when someone doesn't actually exist. On tv tropes, it's known as a "They're Not Real" Reveal, and is somewhat closely related to a bunch of other tropes. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheyreNotRealReveal There was also at least one interview where the article writer asked Robert Carlyle if that's what was going on, and R.C. pretty clearly evaded the question. https://www.tvline.com/2002485/watson-season-2-episode-2-recap-sherlock-holmes-robert-carlyle/ And as far as the trailer, I've noticed many series including this one almost never mention ongoing plot lines in the ads for next episode, UNLESS the commercial is ENTIRELY about that INSTEAD OF the plot-of-the-week.
