This was fun, but I kinda wish they’d leaned even harder into Snape roasting the reboot discourse itself. Let him read HBO’s press release like a potions essay.

Kam Patterson is extremely unfunny.

When will Hollywood finally realize that it’s not about skin color or gender, but about remaining faithful to the character descriptions in the source material?

When will you stop whining.

Yeah, Morgan Freeman was completely wrong for *The Shawshank Redemption*. /s

"New spin" and all we know is that it's just a black man playing Snape now. That's it. We're back in the 1940s, it seems...

Oh you mean when the kids from the "Pureblood" families bullied the "Half-blood" kid and strung him up from a tree? You're right, u/Bababooey346, that definitely had nooooooooo racist undertones whatsoever. Do you also think Homelander from The Boys is a "good guy"? 🙄 "A central theme of the books is the condemnation of authoritarianism and fascist policies. The books depict the dangers of pure-blood supremacy, discrimination, and the suppression of dissent, drawing parallels between Nazism and the Death Eaters...Her books explore democratic values such as equality, tolerance..." Whining that a black man is playing Snape is so ironic, since his character's entire story is about being judged for his looks all his life and being deemed as "wrong" and "lesser" without actually understanding him. How ironic, seeing how the actor's being treated just like that.

Nobody was strung up from a tree. That lie is the telltale concern troll giveaway.

No shit they didn't hang a noose around him, it's a children's book. They "only" hung him upside down below a beech tree by the Black Lake and undressed him in front of the whole school. Y'know, in that book called Half-Blood Prince. But it's DEFINITELY not an allegory for white supremacy or anything...

They didn't "undress" him either. Thanks for confirming you lied, but then you did it again.

*James whirled about: a second flash of light later, Snape was hanging upside-down in the air, his robes falling over his head to reveal skinny, pallid legs and a pair of ***greying underpants***. Many people in the small crowd cheered; Sirius, James and Wormtail roared with laughter. Lily, whose furious expression had twitched for an instant as though she was going to smile, said, 'Let him down!' 'Certainly,' said James and he jerked his wand upwards; Snape fell into a crumpled heap on the ground. Disentangling himself from his robes he got quickly to his feet, wand up, but Sirius said, 'Petrificus Totalus!' and Snape keeled over again, rigid as a board. 'LEAVE HIM ALONE!' Lily shouted. She had her own wand out now. James and Sirius eyed it warily. 'Ah, Evans, don't make me hex you,' said James earnestly. 'Take the curse off him, then!' James sighed deeply, then turned to Snape and muttered the counter-curse. 'There you go,' he said, as Snape struggled to his feet. 'You're lucky Evans was here, Snivellus-- '* He was going to do worse to him. He only stopped because of Lily. This is also one memory; who knows what else they did to him.

Thanks for again confirming you lied. Now you only have "jeez and let's imagine all the other stuff that was never written anywhere!". Fairly weak argument. eta: mate if you have to lie to sell your argument, you don't really have one. And if you have to block and run to look like you somehow "won" the exchange, you don't really have an ounce of integrity.

If you can't read between the lines of a children's book, i fear I'll never have the time or the crayons to go through it all. I can't understand it *for* you.

In living color and MAD Tv were superior in everyway. Saturday Night Live seems like corporate level comedy.

Ok, so…don’t engage with it? I don’t understand people who waste time engaging in videos and discussions about stuff they don’t like, when there’s an infinite amount of media nowadays to give your time too.

Yeah everyone knows none of 349 million Americans stay up late and none of the other billions of people in different timezones use Listnook, so 15 downvotes must be a grand conspiracy

Different time zones and this sublistnook does get 2.7M weekly visitors. Though, there are karma bots that downvote/upvote, so who knows. I personally don't care about karma.
