Just wanted to say I totally believed that was a real tweet.

After his "open the f****** straight" and "praise Allah" nothing is satire anymore

Yeah the cursing was par for the course when it comes to Trump. The "praise Allah" sarcasm at the end is what really killed satire for me. Like it was already hanging on by a very thin thread. Then he included that and it's fully dead. He literally can't say anything that seems ridiculous now. Edit: Well besides like "I'm sorry," "I was wrong," "Biden won the election fairly," and "I was close friends with Epstein and went to his island multiple times." If he ever said any of that in a genuine way I'd be shocked.

Its impossible to satire. I didnt bat an eye reading that with the assumption it was real. Wild times.

I know I've been paying too much attention to that orange sociopath because I could immediately tell it was fake

Honestly the wildest part is how the Artemis II bit felt more plausible than half the political headlines. SNL should lean harder into full-on sci-fi Weekend Update.

That segment is the most reliable funny shit in the whole show.

Dare I say they have surpassed the Tina Fey duos.

Just keep on loving SNL after all 50 yrs. No, not all sketches work, some hosts are better than others, some musical guests I like, some I hate. Some cast members are stronger than others, some seasons better than others, it's been that way it's entire 50  years. But they hang in there and keep trying, and it's the only show you get that's actually LIVE. Worth watching for that alone!
