Weezer and Silversun were both here for yacht club festival last year. Silversun were awesome to see.

So happy to see silversun pickups here. I dont know any local fans

IamPat28 Mar 26, 2026 +30
They are so good live!
30
RabbitSlayre Mar 26, 2026 +17
Seriously they are. Saw them at Coachella a few years ago and they were incredible
17
HurryAdorable1327 Mar 27, 2026 +5
Saw them on their first tour. Played a small club in okc. Like 50 people max. They were rocking until they blew out an amp/fuse and the effects on the singers voice were dead. Was wildly uncomfortable to watch him try to sing without it. They ended the show after a song without the effects. Bummed we didn’t get to hear the whole record.

G-Unit11111 Mar 26, 2026 +5
Yeah that's an awesome lineup. Love me some Silversun Pickups and The Shins. Argh, I really hate that the LA date is on the same night as both MCR and Gorillaz.
5
tyderian Mar 27, 2026 +2
Saw them together in 2008, Silversun was great.
2
bbddbdb Mar 27, 2026 +2
Saw Silversun back in 2009, awesome show.
2
skeletonjellyprime Mar 26, 2026 +4
I saw Silversun Pickups back in 2009? Fun and energetic, but some of their songs were painful with the different harmonics and sounds they make. Maybe the sound systems weren't great or the fact it was an indoor venue, but I was relieved when they were done.
4
DontEatThatTaco Mar 26, 2026 +2
I've seen them a few times at open air venues and it's never been too bad, but I am a bit concerned the enclosed arena won't play as well with some of the more discordant pieces of their, especially earlier, repertoire. That said, they're the band that finally got me to understand I can't be 5 feet from their speakers and I also needed to have concert earplugs, so at least I have those ready to go this time around.
2
norunningwater Mar 26, 2026 +2
They've gotten a lot better since the very early years.
2
NeverDieKris Mar 26, 2026 -3
Saw them here in Ohio years ago. Was also glad when they were done. Just a terrible live experience.
-3
discretelandscapes Mar 26, 2026 +197
Damn. *The Shins.* Now all they need is AIR, Belle and Sebastian, and an obscure J-pop band and they'll have the perfect mid-2000s soundtrack for quirky, misunderstood guys in their late 30s.
197
LevDavidovicLandau Mar 26, 2026 +35
Belle and Sebastian are touring, I’ve got tickets to see them here in Australia!
35
lowsparkedheels Mar 26, 2026 +16
That would be a great lineup. Can we add Zero 7?
16
dekor86 Mar 26, 2026 +16
At this point it's just the Garden State soundtrack.
16
maestroenglish Mar 26, 2026 +21
Mid... 30s?
21
spaceporter Mar 27, 2026 +2
I’m in my mid-40s and was listening to Weezer in middle school.
2
fleranon Mar 26, 2026 +6
early 20s would have been more accurate but other than that it was spot on
6
discretelandscapes Mar 26, 2026 +12
We're all early 20s in spirit. 👍
12
fleranon Mar 26, 2026 +4
I mean I'm almost 40 NOW, but back in the 2000s when I played the Shins endlessly on repeat I was still a freshfaced toddler with a striped tie
4
Inamanlyfashion Mar 26, 2026
I also played the Shins endlessly back then but I refuse to say "back in the 2000s"
0
fleranon Mar 26, 2026 +1
it's been 20 years, at some point we just have to face it :)
1
hominidnumber9 Mar 26, 2026 +1
I think theymeant in their late 30s, now.
1
RobertDeNircrow Mar 26, 2026 +3
Where is spoon and wilco?
3
jre19 Mar 26, 2026 +5
Hey! I don’t like how accurate that is!
5
HoodGinga Mar 26, 2026 +2
As a quirky, misunderstood guy in my late 30s... this tracks.
2
G-Unit11111 Mar 26, 2026 +2
I seriously had no idea the Shins were still around.
2
SlayerXZero Mar 27, 2026 +2
Asian Kung fu Generation.
2
TheLadyEve Mar 26, 2026 +3
And throw in Of Montreal and The New Pornographers. Maybe the Go!Team to boot. Oh yeah, I was deep in that music scene at that time, what a great time to be alive.
3
Pseudotachylites Mar 26, 2026 +2
Wish they were coming to ABQ, where the Shins are from. I love all 3 of these groups.
2
iH8MotherTeresa Mar 26, 2026 +1
Hey Lloyd I'm ready to be heartbroken.
1
SweetCosmicPope Mar 26, 2026 +30
I've already seen Weezer live twice. Very good both times. I'm most interested in The Shins and Silversun Pickups. Could be a great show!
30
Admirable-Pound-4267 Mar 27, 2026 +5
I’ve seen them three times now and will continue as long as they come to my city! They are so fun.
5
Twitter_2006 Mar 26, 2026 +14
Looking forward to it.

MedSPAZ Mar 26, 2026 +154
Cue salty old school Weezer fans gatekeeping about anything made after Pinkerton.
154
Mayonnaise_Poptart Mar 26, 2026 +60
Hey, I like Maladroit too!

DOZENS!!!
1
masegesege_ Mar 26, 2026 +17
One of the first solos I learned was on that album, Keep Fishin’ or Dope Nose. I don’t remember.
17
dangerous_strainer Mar 26, 2026 +8
Dope Nose solo is so rad and lots of fun to play.
8
nohumanape Mar 26, 2026 +8
Banger of an album. I hated it when it originally released, because in my mind it sounded like they were going for the Nu Metal guitar sound of the era. But then I revisited it a few years later and didn't really hear it in that context anymore. It's just such a scrappy and weird album. Love it.
8
noisydissonance Mar 26, 2026 +6
Green album has some of their best songs as well but takes a nose dive after the first four songs. If you combine them with the best songs from Maladroit you got a very solid album that would stand up with their first two imo
6
dangerous_strainer Mar 26, 2026 +2
My favourite record of theirs, it's awesome.
2
kidmerican Mar 26, 2026 +2
Easily the most underrated Weezer album
2
a20261 Mar 27, 2026 +1
Really? That one's a tough sell for me. Some good, some less good. I like that white album though.
1
peazley Mar 26, 2026 +27
Blue Album is one of a handful of perfect albums in my opinion, but that’s because that’s the era I grew up in. Before the phones and social media. When tickets were still $12 and we had to stand in line for hours hoping there were still some available when it was our turn. Seeing them play the Blue Album back in 1995 at DV8 in Seattle sure hit different than the stadium tours I saw them play years later. I’d love for them to do a small club tour, but the problem is so would everyone else, and I can’t imagine how much the scalping bots would charge. I miss being a teen in the 90’s.
27
Beardbeer Mar 26, 2026 +4
I was lucky enough to see Jack White on his small club tour a couple of years ago and it was an incredible experience. The tickets were $150 each and it sold out in 2 minutes. 700 person cap venue. I assume the same would happen with Weezer. Jack White did the ticketing himself, limit two per person. People were trying to resell them for $1k
4
FunPangolin3148 Mar 27, 2026 +2
Yeah, there’s not a lot of perfect albums out there, but The Blue Album is one of them.
2
brodoswaggins93 Mar 26, 2026 +24
I really like the White Album. Sacrilege, I know.
24
dangerous_strainer Mar 26, 2026 +7
Nah, White is solid brah. So many great tracks.

For WEEZER!?
2
alt-227 Mar 26, 2026 +3
No offense, Tammy, but drink my blood.
3
YoungAntiSocialite Mar 26, 2026 +4
Sorry blue and Pinkerton are all time albums and the rest are just not, this is not even a controversial music take.
4
mocisme Mar 26, 2026 +3
Saw them during the Journey To the Blue Planet tour. It was awesome. First half, they played the hits from all the albums from Pinkerton, to Van Weezer. Then they played Blue Album straight through. So best of both worlds
3
G-Unit11111 Mar 26, 2026 +1
The Blue Planet tour was awesome! Love how they worked the Pinkerton songs into the mix.
1
TenebraeRex81 Mar 26, 2026 +16
Weezer fans?
16
hometheaterpc Mar 26, 2026 +34
Nobody hates Weezer more than Weezer fans.
34
makemeking706 Mar 26, 2026 +5
And why wouldn't they? People who aren't fans probably don't have an opinion let alone an exceptionally strong one.
5
hometheaterpc Mar 26, 2026 +3
Agree. I consider myself a fan and check out every release knowing that there's about a 25% chance I'll like it.
3
dwehlen Mar 27, 2026 +1
Primus fans:
1
VoightofReason Mar 26, 2026
Are there real Weezer fans out there? I feel like they’re a band that a lot of people enjoy, but nobody considers themself a fan
0
oldwhitelincoln Mar 26, 2026 +2
A decade ago I very briefly was a mod on r/Weezer and it was full of teenagers trying to defend their use of antisemitic slurs.
2
Rattony_Bologne Mar 26, 2026 +2
Red Albums first half is pretty enjoyable I’d say, troublemaker is a fun song.
2
BenTramer Mar 26, 2026 +2
No one is salty but those are the only good records for me personally. I’m thrilled for Weezer that people like their new stuff.
2
Abject_Following_814 Mar 26, 2026 +2
Ummm, should I take offense to this? Saw them on the Blue album tour and the Pinkerton tour. It was awesome. Saw them 10 years later and Matt Sharp was gone. His harmonies were a huge part of what made them Weezer and his live presence was palpable on stage. it's just not the same for me. Did I do ok? Should I insult the later albums and fans or is my "I was there before it was cool hipster" schtick suffice?
2
YoungAntiSocialite Mar 26, 2026 +1
It’s just a stupid thing to get all mad about, they’re almost completely different bands with and without sharpe.
1
User-no-relation Mar 26, 2026 +3
White is the best weezer album. Jake Sinclair understands Weezer better than River understands Weezer
3
afishinthewell Mar 26, 2026 +2
Maybe Rivers should have written something good post Pinkerton then.
2
Burgoonius Mar 26, 2026 +4
Say what you will about their newer music but they are absolutely awful live. They have zero stage energy. I’ve seen them twice and probably never will again.
4
SocialWinker Mar 26, 2026 +4
I saw them 1-2 years ago, and they weren’t bad. It was a smaller venue, so maybe that helped. They definitely weren’t fantastic live, but not bad. Modest Mouse definitely outperformed them at that show, though.
4
russketeer34 Mar 26, 2026 +5
Man, I love Modest Mouse, but seeing them live twice was excruciating. Sonic disasters both times.
5
effervescent_fella Mar 26, 2026 +3
I haven't seen them but from what I've heard you'll get wildly different experiences depending on the sobriety of Isaac Brock at the time
3
YoungAntiSocialite Mar 26, 2026 +1
Brock’s a f****** a******
1
effervescent_fella Mar 27, 2026 +1
lol I certainly have heard some bad things
1
FunPangolin3148 Mar 27, 2026 +1
They are a band that gets judged by their worst moments. Isaac has cut back a lot on drinking after his son was born. He said he only drinks a little now to feel loose, but doesn’t over do it. I’ve seen him twice in the past 3 years, the first time was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen in a small club and they other time they were very good opening up for The Flaming Lips. If you ever catch them in a small venue, do it, they sound infinitely better than in large open venues where the crowd isn’t all MM fans.
1
SocialWinker Mar 26, 2026 +1
Really? Maybe I was higher than I thought during their set, I didn't notice any major issues. Were they in a small venue? Or an arena? I wonder that plays a part.
1
JasonTO Mar 26, 2026 +4
The Blue Album anniversary tour was great. The on-stage banter was largely scripted, which fit the band's dorky, awkward vibe perfectly. Everyone on stage looked like they wanted to be there and were having fun. It was wild seeing the crowd full of people who grew up on the Blue Album and Pinkerton with their young children in tow. It was so good it actually nullified some of my cynicism for large arena shows.
4
gwiss Mar 26, 2026 +2
First time I saw them they were really great. Saw them a few more times since then and found they’re very hit or miss. But I also feel like I’ll probably never see them again.
2
dangerous_strainer Mar 26, 2026 +2
I've seen them a dozen times over the decades and they always put on a good show. Bummer the ones you went to weren't very good.
2
mocisme Mar 26, 2026 +1
I saw them back in 2009(Rattitude era) and while I enjoyed it, I remember it being a bit underwhelming overall. Speaking energy-wise. Then I saw them in 2024 (Voyage to the Blue Planet tour). They were great! I get they aren't jumping around like 20 year olds, but still had the energy and the passion showed. Guess it's hit or miss (but what band isn't?)
1
NapoleonBlownapart9 Mar 26, 2026 +1
I saw them about 25 yrs ago, openers were Jimmy Eat World and Tenacious D. That show melted my face off. They were animated that night, tight as a drum and very into it, f****** confetti exploded from the ceiling during Say It Ain’t So. I found a new $100 bill on the ground as I was walking into the venue, beers for the fellas were on me that night! 2001 Value City Arena, Columbus OH. That was a lot of beer money back then and the whole crowd was passing fat doinks. Or it felt like it. Great show.
1
Ebon-Hawke- Mar 26, 2026 +1
Not a single weezer album I dont love other than maybe Pacific day dreams and meladroit which are just forgettable 🫡 but also I was born in 98 lol
1
TeslasAndComicbooks Mar 27, 2026 +1
Became a fan when blue album came out. White album gets a ton of play from me. It’s catchy as hell.
1
Dumptruckfunk Mar 27, 2026 +1
Excuse me! I actually only gatekeep stuff after the armed album. I am old and salty though.
1
fogelsong Mar 26, 2026 -1
The Green Album was sooooo bad
-1
Lt_Hatch Mar 26, 2026 +47
Boo stadium tours. They are overpriced and the seats aren't usually great
47
traumahound00 Mar 26, 2026 +6
These are arenas, not stadiums
6
Lt_Hatch Mar 26, 2026 +6
How do they seat people in an arena?
6
traumahound00 Mar 26, 2026 +16
"You sit here, you sit there.."
16
Lt_Hatch Mar 26, 2026 +6
Stadium seating. Arena, stadium? It's all semantics both make for bad concert venues. Cheers
6
traumahound00 Mar 26, 2026 -3
Sounds like whinging to me
-3
Lt_Hatch Mar 26, 2026 -4
If you're going to try to insult someone, use spell check. Dork 🤣
-4
traumahound00 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Sounds like someone isn't familiar with British terminology. And you're still whinging. How can I tell? When you open your mouth, you're whinging. Go read a book, and enjoy talking to the void.
1
LevDavidovicLandau Mar 26, 2026 +1
Australian here. Genuinely, it’s news to me that whinging would be spelled differently in US English. I mean, when we call you lot whinging Poms, we write it as whinging… (Sorry, I couldn’t resist 😂)
1
CountChoculasGhost Mar 26, 2026 +39
Having seen all three of these bands in the past, Weezer is the least interesting to me. Would love to see The Shins and Silver Sun Pickups again though.
39
Del_3030 Mar 26, 2026 +12
Silversun Pickups released a new album this year and are doing a headline tour in the USA this spring! They can still rock it.
12
devereaux Mar 26, 2026 +6
I saw Weezer live in concert with Tenacious D back around 2001, and they were fantastic back then. Holy shit a lot of time has passed
6
ZPTs Mar 27, 2026 +1
I saw them way back then too and recently again on the Blue Album tour. Equally awesome shows.
1
thatirishguyyyyy Mar 26, 2026 +4
Im in
4
drdeathstrange Mar 26, 2026 +3
Silversun Pickups are going to be the band that plays that night in terms of energy, tightness, and overall show.
3
spuddermayne Mar 26, 2026 +3
I went to see Greta Van Fleet in Dallas and I somehow missed Silversun Pickups was opening. I honestly look back at that performance more fondly than GVF.
3
christmasbooyons Mar 26, 2026 +3
Saw Silversun Pickups in late 2019, they put on an excellent live show.
3
youreprobablyright Mar 26, 2026 +2
Killer lineup, but no Euro tour dates :(
2
Sad-Sir1198 Mar 26, 2026 +2
That lineup feels like a direct attack on my bank account and my nostalgia for 2006. Getting Silversun Pickups and The Shins on the same bill is honestly a more cohesive pairing than most of the legacy tours we have been seeing lately. I just hope the acoustics actually hold up in those bigger rooms.
2
halcyon8 Mar 26, 2026 +2
I'd go to see silversun pickups...
2
ASaGHost Mar 26, 2026 +3
As long as they dont play any garbage from pacific daydream, this will probably be fine.
3
hometheaterpc Mar 26, 2026 +5
I'd add a few more albums to that list, but I think they have plenty of good stuff beyond Blue and Pinkerton. If Rivers would put guitar solos on Green, it might be a contender for top 5.
5
MyVoiceIsElevating Mar 26, 2026 +3
Out of all of their discography, that’s an odd one to single out.
3
palaminocamino Mar 26, 2026 +2
I would love to see this, but I hate these arena/stadium tours dude. The only other time I’ve seen weezer here in CO was again at a freaking sports arena. And that is 99% the same place where this will be too. I understand the reasons for it, but these aren’t arena bands and neither is their fan base. And I’m sure tickets are gonna be over $100.
2
the_moosen Mar 26, 2026 +2
Shins opening for Weezer? Bummer dawg, wish it were the other way around
2
Figgywithit Mar 27, 2026 +2
More excited for the Shins.
2
Takco Mar 26, 2026 +1
Ahh another tour skipping right over New Orleans
1
Ka-Is-A-Wheelie Mar 26, 2026 +1
Boo no Kansas City dates...
1
jax362 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Why does it feel like every musical act is trying to get paid this year. What do they know that we don't?
1
adamdanyx Mar 26, 2026 +1
*Cries in European* I have loved all these bands for years, I would love to see this. I might have to finally make it over the pond…
1
YogiBarelyThere Mar 26, 2026 +1
Awesome
1
mondo_mike Mar 26, 2026 +1
Great lineup - no interest in seeing it in a large boomy arena, though. Why can’t bands do 5-10 shows in smaller venues instead?
1
FallenCow Mar 27, 2026 +2
💯just not worth it to see bands in a large arena. Too bad since this is an appealing lineup
2
mondo_mike Mar 27, 2026 +1
I would pay as much as the arena pricing - more, actually - to see this show in a small venue
1
facepillownap Mar 26, 2026 +1
Congrats to Weezer on their 32nd year of the “Anywhere but Alaska” tour.
1
Food_Kitchen Mar 26, 2026 +1
I feel like I need to go to this just for the Shins and Silversuns
1
KeyanFarlandah Mar 26, 2026 +1
I remember when Silversun pickups broke out, the DJ on the radio EVERY SINGLE TIME would intro them as Silversun Pickups they’re from LA almost as if that was the full band name.. drove me nuts
1
chappersyo Mar 26, 2026 +1
I don’t see a lot of live music these days because of the cost, but three bands I genuinely want to see is worth it.
1
BanginBananas Mar 27, 2026 +1
I f****** LOVE THE SHINS I WILL BE HERR HELL YEAH F*** YES THABN YKH WEEZER
1
ThatsARatHat Mar 26, 2026 +1
None of these bands seem like “arena” bands to me. Not saying they aren’t popular; but I don’t think their sounds (nevermind the aesthetics/stage show) are really conducive to an arena environment.
1
mondo_mike Mar 26, 2026 +1
Totally agree
1
lefthandedrighty Mar 26, 2026 -12
Tickets will be the low price of $199 to see washed up old bands.
-12

Silversun pickups is fun live
37
sebmodio Mar 26, 2026 +21
No! No having fun!
21

They bring it.
7

I've seen them live several times and they always bring it.
6
Mayonnaise_Poptart Mar 26, 2026 +4
When I saw them years ago, the crowd just f****** erupted in unison with "LOCKED AND LOADED" and it was such great energy.
4
sofaraway10 Mar 26, 2026 +2
Saw them last year. Can confirm.
2
crisp-papa Mar 26, 2026 +1
So much! I saw them for the fifth time a few weeks ago. Depending on ticket prices for this tour, hopefully the sixth time this fall 🙏
1
themightyklang Mar 26, 2026 +7
I saw the shins a few years ago at a free or very c**** concert in a park and it was one of the top live performances in my recent memory
7
burgersanddepression Mar 26, 2026 +14
Washed up old bands who have accomplished more than 99.9 more success than most bands and people are salty about them still selling*
14
dkinmn Mar 26, 2026 +2
Being old doesn't mean they suddenly aren't good at their job, mate.
2
rswp2000 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Funny you say that but Weezer is fairly popular with the teens
1
dadthewisest Mar 26, 2026
OMG... this is the tour I never knew I needed... 2 of these bands are on my bucket list and then there is Weezer.
0
InvalidUserFame Mar 26, 2026 -2
I look forward to going to that show and leaving before Weezer to beat the traffic. lol

Weezer can fill arenas?? I'm expecting cancellations.
-5
[deleted] Mar 26, 2026 +4
They literally did their last tour
4
atombath Mar 26, 2026 +2
Fair enough. i see that their tour with Dinosaur Jr. and flaming lips went well.
2
JasonTO Mar 26, 2026 +1
And that was smack in the middle of a down period for the industry. Big-name tours were struggling to move tickets at the time.
1
DOWNVOTES_SYNDROME Mar 26, 2026 -1
i thought they broke up after pinkerton and the bassist left to do the rentals. good for them.
-1
Baddyshack Mar 26, 2026 -7
I've always been a Weezer fan, but you should *never see them live*.
-7
rekipsj Mar 26, 2026 +3
Tell me more.
3
LadnavIV Mar 26, 2026 +16
They toss live grenades into the crowd. They just pull the pin and lob em. They’ve killed thousands.

A guy I went to college with had a foot blown off by a grenade at one of their shows in the mosh pit. They just threw explosives into the crowd. Psychopaths.
6

What’s the problem with their live performances?

Literally nothing. They were amazing when I saw them two years ago. One of my fave shows that I have been to, not sure what this person is talking about

I've seen them a few times and always had a blast, but the last time I saw them was in 2013 👴

I loved seeing Black Keys live. Granted, that was in 2004 in a little dive bar venue. Fantastic show, though.

Seen them twice. Not worth the price. Still love the band though. Good tunes. Boring shows.

I've heard Weezer sucks live. My buddy said they are just super low energy. They don't move around the stage at all and they don't do a ton of crowd work.
