We‘ve really entered the timeline of countries talking like children at school.

It really does feel like the spiderweb of alliances that dragged everyone into the First World War, at this point. Christ, it's like watching a car crash heading straight towards us in slow motion.

Pakistan : aim nuclear weapons at india
1

Pakistan is only relevant because they have nukes and harbor terrorists of all kinds. Apart from that they are known for a recurring subscription of IMF bailouts.
1
Nerevarine91Mar 28, 2026
+1
Pakistan is actually the only country that has nuclear weapons but no missiles that qualify as ICBMs, interestingly (there’s a pretty steep range requirement that nothing in Pakistan’s arsenal is known to meet)
1
SpoopyClockMar 28, 2026
+1
Pakistan's declaring that it has ICBMs would result in immediate sanctions. The nukes are supposedly to balance India's, no ICBMs needed.

1
troublrTRCMar 28, 2026

Qatar just surrounded by idiots or blood/thirsty Jihadists. They try their level best to improve themselves, be meditators and essentially just stay neutral in the conflict.
Iran just had to go about and bomb this one ally who had any say in peace talks.

I mean they gave the US those oil tankers, Trump's " presents"; they were Pakistani flagged.
Iran will no longer meditate through them or let their ships pass through after that.
So it looks like they're playing both sides.

Also those ships don’t actually exist. There is 1 Pakistani tanker known to have gone through. Trump said 8 or 10 (changed his mind mid presser) but it seems to have been more Trump having a moment than narrating actual reality

So will Pakistan simultaneously mediate, beat the hell of Israel and insult Qatar/Gulf states?
I think this is a master stroke from Trump and Bibi as they don’t really want the war to stop - appoint someone who has the least chance of mediating shit
1
anders_hanssonMar 28, 2026
+1
I'm pretty sure Trump wants the war to stop. He needs to move on to Cuba and get that done before the midterms in November. Bibi on the other hand probably wants it to go on as long as possible. It's his once-in-a-lifetime chance to bomb Iran, and he wants to make to most out of it.
1
la_dynamitaMar 28, 2026
+1
Exactly.. Trump thought he was gonna have an easy victory like Venezuela until he realized Iran has fkin containment plans till like the year 8000..Cuba on the other hand just needs a little push and they will fall/give Trump what he wants. Trump is stuck.. Because of Israel.

Don’t belittle Bibi’s evil genius by including Trump as an equal. This is all Bibi and his greatest asset, the lack of self reflection neé inherent gullibility of self proclaimed Alpha Males.

Trump has taken what was shaping to be a gradual decline in US power (think Britain in the 20th century) and just turbo charged it.
Even once US allies are looking elsewhere. A truly magnificent achievement. The US voters really screwed themselves

Pakistan is not a regular country with an army, it's an army with a country, and that army is a business.
Whatever Pakistan Army says or does is with clear intentions of making better business deals for their benefit. They are on hire, to US, as they have done for decades, and they will do all the dirty work in future as well. If the Orange muppet decides to nuke Iran, it would probably be done by Pakistan (Army) not the US themselves.

Can't believe I am with Pakistan here. When other countries target diplomatic missions and schools we call it out but somehow all that criticism goes away when Israel does it ? Double standards. If Russia is sanctioned for their illegal invasion, Israel should be too. Selective implementation of rules means we'll see geopolitical fractures occuring in next few years.

But Pak is a defence partner of Saudi.
And Saudi is reportedly about to fight Iran.
And if Iran attacks Saudi, Pak is contractually bound to attack Iran.
And Israel will also be attaacking Iran.
So how does that work out?
