What advice would you give to a 23 year old guy who is studying nursing?

When I was around your age I was friends with a guy who was also studying and then doing nursing. Its a tough job. You see some sights. Like I remember him saying one day how he had to wipe the shit of some old guys ass. Goes with the job.

Just try your best and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Start thinking about the specialisation/masters degree already e.g. Nurse Practitioner pathway

I don’t work in healthcare but my mother did, and I work in a similarly hierarchical workplace. You will need to learn to tolerate the authoritarian and often disrespectful nature of doctors. They are the boss and you need to follow their lead but they will often drive you crazy. Unfortunately in our industries respect is often not a 2 way street
