What are the best TV show intro songs?

For me, the second best is Futurama. I loved how they completely remixed the 1967 song [Psyche Rock](https://youtu.be/qssa6ec7faQ?si=9koaiMoMsncfihXG) by Pierre Henry. Not only did the song inspire the intro, but it inspired a lot of the show. If you watch the music video, you’ll recognize certain things that also happen in Futurama. But obviously “Tank!” by the Seatbelts for Cowboy Bebop is the best. We all know that already.

The "life is unfair... so I just stare" transition caught me so off-guard the first time I heard the full song. "Life is unfair" fading out in the theme song sounded like a perfect ending. Turns out it's the beginning of a verse with much chiller vibes than the chorus.

It sets the tone so perfectly for how unnerving the OG theme is. Are you gonna hear a ghost story, or hear some wild shit about UFOs? No, you’re going to hear depressing stories from the 1940s where a family had to be split up with no way to keep in touch, but you can have a supernatural story every once in a while as a treat.

the funniest part of the MASH theme is that the lyrics were written by the 14 year old son of the director for the movie. the son made more money off the song than his dad did for directing the movie. when the TV show was made they optioned the song, but use it without the lyrics. imagine writing lyrics to a song, getting paid more than your dad for it, and then later get paid for it's use in a TV show, and they decide not to use the lyrics you wrote, but they still have to pay you to use the song.
