You really should talk to someone. Just to get the relief of not having it bottled up forever and reliving it in your head the rest of your life.
Just say what happened out loud in a forest by yourself. It will be some relief.

You’re not alone. Glad you’re pushing through. Took me years to even fully admit to myself what had happened. It’s such a complicated thing. Eleven years out now and I’ve committed to talking with people about it because we need more open discussion in society about the deep and lasting effects of male/sexual violence

My embroidery hobby probably fits here. I spend hours recreating vintage Ford logos from like the 1920s-50s with all the proper thread colors and everything. Got a whole collection going but never really bring it up because people either think it's weird that a dude embroiders or they don't get why I'm obsessed with car manufacturer logos from decades ago. There's something really satisfying about getting those tiny details perfect though, like the exact curve of the script lettering or the right shade of blue. My apartment's got this whole wall of framed pieces but when people come over I just say they're prints I bought online.

I started writing a novel last year. Have had a few bouts of writers block. I don’t know if starting to write the story is the thing I am most proud of but it’s up there. I have fleshed out the story outline and detailed character backstories. The dialogue gets tough at times but I’m super proud of what I’ve gotten done so far.

I am the opposite. The dialogue is easy. Everything else is hard.

It's dumb to brag about helping homeless people but I got my CPR cert for a reason. The one that sticks out the most to me is when I met a homeless pregnant woman. I’m proud that I’m a (semi) well adjusted independent, self reliant adult who helps other people for a living.
I haven’t talked to my mom for 35 years because she’s a psychopath who hated me and made my life completely miserable the first 17 years of my life.
My dad is a pathetic codependent coward who married an another narcissist one year after my mom left him.
And there was a lot of sexual abuse in my childhood.
Looking at me, talking to me, being a client of mine at my business, you would never know the hell I came from- or that the last time I saw my brother three years ago, he punched me in the face. I called the nonemergency police number and file a police report and they weren’t interested in pursuing any charges. Not many people know that.
I’m starting to think that holding it all this in for decades it’s not going to work out well for me.
But for right now, I’m a little bit proud of how far I’ve come 100% on my own.

This might sound silly, but it's the first one that popped into my head.
I was driving down a fast twisty road with loads of blind corners, when I passed an old car on the opposite side driving probably 50mph below the speed limit (likely a car issue) up a hilly blind bend.
Shortly down the road a person having a driving lesson was travelling pretty fast closing in on this blind car very quickly.
I put on my hazards and the instructor slammed on the brakes which certainly saved them from an accident, as the slow car was not visible to them yet.
The instructor pointed to my car probably as a lesson to the learner to heed my warning, then he stuck his thumb up at me.
As I'm writing this its definitely too long winded and boring a story I'm not even sure why I'm posting it, but I hope it taught one learner driver something new, and also saved two cars from a certain accident.

Pushing through to the other side of some major battles with PTSD after a sexual assault. I worked hard to get through. Did therapy. Took the meds. Told a few people closest to me. I have a large AI music channel. Several songs have already gone viral, talking about mental health, recovering from trauma, simplicity in life, etc. I love that people message me about how the positive messaging I write made a difference in their lives, but I also have a lot of friends who hate AI with a passion. Because I don't want to give people a reason to hate me, very few people in my social circles know about it.
2
Wise_Whole_4631Apr 3, 2026
+1
woah congratulations! any advice on how to start this
1
redkinokoApr 3, 2026
+2
There are several AI music generation services online. Just subscribe there to get commercial license. Provide the lyrics and description of what kind of music you want used and then AI music comes out. Package it into a video that people like, and upload to a YT channel. That's the gist of it, but there's a bit more nuance to everything for people to actually want to listen, specially with the negative stigma of AI music and anything AI-generated in general.

Wise_Whole_4631Apr 3, 2026

That’s so cool! And are shorts better or videos?
1
redkinokoApr 3, 2026
+1
For music, long-form videos. Shorts are too... short.
1
Wise_Whole_4631Apr 3, 2026
+1
Haha that’s true! I’m really interested in this but it always seemed intimidating. How did you generate views?
1
redkinokoApr 3, 2026
+2
Appealing thumbnails, catchy songs, and just consistently uploading for a specific niche that has few competitors, but a decent amount of demand. Each element I mentioned takes a while to figure out, but if you are able to create a sustainable workflow, you can slowly evolve your content and rely on data to make sure the music that you make reach the people who will appreciate them best. Once the algorithm learns that, you will have the views you deserve. It's slow going at first but once you hit your stride, and people take a liking to what you make, growth can be exponential.
2
Wise_Whole_4631Apr 3, 2026

I will definitely be looking into this! If you ever need an apprentice or someone to do work for you, please lmk! I’m not good at youtube yet, but I’m really comfortable with AI and Ive created a revenue generating project w it too in the past!

Finally found the woman of my dreams and settled down in a small town on 6 acres with a two bedroom and a pond on the property, have been enjoying watching the geese come back around this time every year; have babies and leave till next year. I continued to talk to my ex for almost a year, found out he left me for the girl he told me not to worry about (his best friend lmao) and had lied to me saying they weren’t together.
During this year, we’d sent n****, flirted, he admitted to saving them to a locked folder, etc.
So I find out he’s basically cheating on her and continue to talk to him while collecting screenshots, and he had no clue I was only talking to him to let her know what he had been doing.
I also put some through chat GPT- before y’all flame me, it was to make conversations we literally already had, I just didn’t have access to the chats anymore. So it’s nothing that hadn’t been done lmao.
Anyway, I sent her about 50 screenshots of n****, flirting, and a little touch of spice- him asking to link up. A fake chat, but I’ve been in love with an abuser too and sometimes it takes more than n**** to leave someone you love.
She broke up with him immediately. I didn’t block him and got to enjoy the hundreds of very angry messages he sent me.
