I moved to a city from a remote, rural village and had an accent/dialect that made me sound like an inbred hillbilly. It took a while to get rid of that but, at the time, I knew people judged me to be one step away from being an idiot because of it.

people get judged from their accent, but I actually don't think that's much of a problem. I mean, I'm happy that you're happy with your new accent, but it's no problem if you got a weird accent or anything.
