What do you think?

Posted by Far_Engineering3356

What do you think makes a person mature ? I have heard that when he/she takes responsibilities for their actions but i am not exactly sure about it. According to you , what exactly makes a person mature? Or even a better question what is your definition of being mature is?

For me, maturity is something that comes with both age and experience. But not all who age are matured nor people with experience. It’s HOW they deal with people and situations and not WHAT they learnt. When a person is mature, he/she is accountable, handles situations wisely, doesn’t react based on emotions rather understands it and act accordingly.

What you do when you mess up. I like myself a lot more after making a ton of mistakes, than when I hadn't. Experience creates maturity, when you've had to sit in the fire and deal with consequences and reflect on that, that's when you grow.

I think it matters to be able to admit their mistakes, know how to resolve conflicts, don't get mad at any small thing, take responsibility and be honest about stuff. You don't have to be perfect, but at least get the basic things right.

Self control, tolerance, responsible, accountability, and experience and a certain level of humility gained by life (recognising the world doesn’t revolve around yourself).

Taking responsibility, delayed gratification

For me it’s how they are able to handle situations, do they handle it well and know how to communicate? Do they lash out? It’s all in the language. Although maturity is quite vast, and just because someone can do something mature once won’t guarantee continued maturity. It’s honestly an interesting topic :P

maturity is definitely about taking responsibility for your actions, but it's also about understanding others, being able to handle difficult situations, and knowing when to keep your ego in check. real maturity comes from self-awareness and learning from experiences.

I think maturity is knowing that life will not always be perfect and when a mistake is made, looking at it as a lesson instead of defeat. Also, keeping emotions in check, but also knowing when it's ok to be vulnerable. I guess mainly understanding that life is full of paradoxes and being flexible to the changes.

definitely their emotional intelligence and what do they consider to be "embarrassing"

Complete messed it up...and learn some experience from it. Or I experienced it a lot of times, I have my own thoughts about that so I can do it calm.

I also think that maturity involves concern for the others especially the next grnetation.

for me, maturity is mostly being able to handle reality without making everything everyone else’s problem. like taking responsibility, being honest, regulating yourself a little, and not collapsing the second something bruises your ego. i also think mature people can hear uncomfortable things without turning it into a whole performance. they don’t have to be perfect, they just usually know how to reflect, adjust, and move better next time.

Maturity is when you see things for what they are and leave the naive side of you at the door.
