How do you manage that? A remote job?
Or are you alone in your awesome cabin in the woods? 😅

So, my question is, what gives you peace of mind?
I am 33. I have a good job, but no wealth, no house, no material things that I can rely on if something happens to me.
And for some reason I am fixated at buying a house.
So I am curious: if you have a house, savings, or anything else, does that give you peace of mind? Or, after buying a house, do other things start to consume your thoughts?
Especially at this very difficult times.

Spending time with friends, a good book, and a competent president in power...

I have a house and savings, and honestly? The peace I thought they'd bring didn't show up automatically. It helped with some stress, but the deeper calm came from letting go of the idea that I needed to be 'set' to feel okay.
Financial stability matters, but I spent years chasing the next thing thinking that was the thing. Turned out peace was more about accepting where I was while working toward where I wanted to be

Do you think you could have reached the same conclusion if you hadn't gotten the house and the savings first?

Good sex and a clean kitchen. Not necessarily in that order.
