Maybe I didn't noticed til now, but has there been a decrease of primetime gameshows, or they mostly return in the summer? ex.: Name That Tune, The Floor, The one with the balls, CelebrityHollywood Squares and Wheel of Fortune.
They primarily air during the summer. Though in CBS’s case, they like to air *The Price Is Right at Night* in between seasons of *Survivor* around January.

Change of Heart was my favorite show during it's run.
Love Connection was another favorite show of mine.
I started watching reality television instead; once shows like the two I mentioned ended.

They do it on a quarterly basis if not in the summer primarily

They usually come on during the summer. They were showing Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Fridays this past fall.

Covid isn't a thing anymore, so networks had to put actual shows on instead of gameshows that cost a fraction to produce.

Game shows count as actual shows. This is evidenced by the fact that scripted shows that air during the summer are almost always doomed to fail.

OK? What I said is still right.

It’s not right though. Networks have been putting game shows on their schedule forever with the last resurgence beginning in the early 00’s when reality shows made it big in the states. Game shows were on the schedule before Covid. Not only that but most scripted shows managed some workaround during Covid. Multi c*** just stopped having in person audiences, SNL did the from home episodes, dramas also had work arounds like the zoom episode of All Rise. Covid only affected the last 2 or so months of the 19-20 season. There’s was a bit of a delay in the fall but by the time fall came around there were procedures in place to bring everything back.

I love that one episode a week shows are coming back.
I hate that so many people want to wait to watch them when the season is over.
There is so much fun in watching an episode, talking to friends/coworkers/family about what happened, speculating on what might happen.
Now you watch, have to keep your mouth shut about it, and enjoy it in solitude.
The younger generations miss so many opportunities for community. It makes your life so much better.

Maybe I'm living in a hole, but I don't ever remember having many discussions about television shows. The last one I recall talking about was Roots when it aired in 1977.

You missed out.
The last one I really remember having big discussions over was Game of Thrones.
Good times.

You don't remember
\- Who killed Mr. Burns? on The Simpsons
\- "We were on a break!" on Friends
\- the entirely of LOST
?

I watched Lost. My coworkers and friends had other more significant things to discuss besides television shows unfortunately. I remember discussing Roots because it was the first time the history of enslaved people was shown realistically on television. It was a substantial show that was worth discussing. And yeah I'm probably a lot older than most of you.

ABC does most of theirs in the summer, but a couple like Celebrity Wheel of Fortune followed by Celebrity Jeopardy and also Average American Quiz Show have been in-season. But aside from holiday special airings in December, most of the ones like Celebrity Family Feud, Match Game, Press Your Luck, etc. are summer. I don't think they've announced their summer schedule yet.
NBC has added a lot more sports so has less space on their schedule. They only had a couple current / recurring ones anyway, with Password back in summer June 2nd after AGT, and The Wall plugged where needed with some new ones in August it looks like.
As someone else mentioned, CBS has been doing a couple like Price Is Right between Survivor cycles but otherwise also has a couple in summer with Hollywood Squares being their main current one that sometimes airs an hour and currently ends Wednesdays with a half hour. I don't think they have announced summer plans yet either.
FOX will definitely have more on on soon for spring & summer. They had a couple on Monday nights in the fall, with the Janes, but now have on a scripted drama and the Extracted reality show. Those will be replaced April 13th by The 1% Club and The Quiz With Balls. The Floor is currently two cycles instead of Masks Singer - it was on in fall, Masked Singer now, and The Floor returns April 8th with a two-hour premiere (MasterChef starts leading into it the following week).
CW is currently airing Scabble & Trivial Pursuit on Thursday nights. They can be a bit sporadic with scheduling.
