Pete Hegseth is an alcoholic Fox News talking head and has zero business leading the military.

Also his wife is doing most of the work for him.  Good thing she wasn't approved by the Senate or properly background checked.

Oh there's precedent. He's got it tattooed on his f****** arm "Deus Vult". This is a Crusade, and it's just as fucked up and morally reprehensible as the previous ones.

Right wing Christian Jihadist. Why is Islam the only religion criticized for violent extremism? It 100% exists right in front of all of us and Hegseth is the exhibit A.

He's an insecure lunatic just like the rest

When you are losing the battle of facts, turn to blind faith. Trump or God. After you've done your own research of course.

He's just being a murderous violent freak. Trying to make money on insider information while bombing school kids in the name of his war god Jesus Christ. Just normal Trump admin stuff.

He is a psycho and completely not qualified in any area to be in that position. He has no clue, just sounds uneducated and low class when he talks about bombing and blasting Iran. No strategy except sit on his couch far way from any harm, drunk while brave men and women of our military die for Israel.

Only unprecedented for those who have short memories. (journalists are supposed to be better at that than the public). At the time of the Irak war, W Bush was explicitly asked at the Cleveland City Club on March 20th 2006 something along the line of "do you believe that the conflicts in the middle East are signs of the end of times?" and he just elude the answer. Jon Stewart even did a segment on the Daily Show where he went "Just say No!" Found [it](https://www.salon.com/2006/03/23/bush_terror_3/), the question [was](https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2006/03/20060320-7.html): "Do you believe this, that the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism are signs of the apocalypse? And if not, why not? ", the answer was anything but a simple "no". and in the words of [Stewart](https://abcnews.com/ThisWeek/story?id=1769625): What are you waiting for? Say no! Just say no! too bad the Q&A has been cut from the [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FbKLrmp7YQ).

P. H. has no qualifications for the position he holds, his religious ramblings are the speech of a drunken sociopath.

We're in a hot war in Iran while our soldiers are laying low in hotels after abandoning bases. Clearly that isn't happening here.

Those experts could do well to refer to history, especially the western white man, since before the beginning of colonialism... But don't let the truth get in the way of an exaggeration.

Religion is always the center piece and fall back plan for despots.

Unprecedented in the US, sure. But his framing would have been right at home in the Kingdom of Jerusalem under the Leper King.

He thinks he’s a pastor or something. His choreographed hand emotes are getting ridiculous

Unprecedented? Religious beliefs have never been used to justify unjust wars? B****, please.

MaeByourmom Apr 2, 2026 +1
I was briefly cheered, thinking that he was physically in Iran, and that he might not return. Should be phrased “what’s he doing TO Iran”, since he’s too much of a coward to go there.
