What is a movie that everyone tells you is a masterpiece, but you are adamant that it sucks?

I’ll add to the conversation, I never saw avatar when it was the big movie of the year- people kept telling me I got to see it. I watched it. I did not care at all for these characters nor the world building. I don’t know how it’s the most seen movie on the planet to be honest, besides the 3d hype of the 2010s

Citizen Kane. Everyone acts like it's the greatest film ever made but I've tried watching it three times and it's just boring as hell. Sure, maybe it was revolutionary for its time with camera techniques or whatever, but that doesn't make it entertaining. Give me a solid fantasy flick over pretentious "cinema" any day.

I like it all right, I like that style of movie making. But the greatest film of all time I've always wondered about that.

The Neon Demon. Vapid, excruciatingly pretentious, overly esthetisized, derivative, directionless slop. Tries too hard, but fails so bad.
