Rich people often appear to be blissfully unaware that poor folk have to regularly check bank accounts to see if we can afford things whereas they just tap their card and move on. Something I noticed being friends with wealthy people.

The very concept of "*I can't afford that*". And I don't mean fantasising about super Yachts or private jets, but if an appliance like your washing machine breaks you can't afford to just stroll on down and get a replacement.
