so, I’m on a mission to find the stories that usually go unnoticed: stories of personal successes and failures, struggles, life lessons or what made you you.
I’m convinced your "ordinary" life is far more fascinating than anything an influencer or an AI can produce. You don't need to be a "content creator" to have a story that is worth preserving.
I'd love to hear what yours is. If you have something you’ve always wanted to say, let me know in the comments. :)
I just contacted a crush from high school. We graduated over 50 years ago. He is awesome and so far we talk every night at least an hour ( record over 4).
He lives on the East Coast and I on the West. I am infatuated. Never thought I would be again.
We are meeting at a friends house in the mountains and see if there are any sparks ( us, not the cabin). There sure are on my end of the phone. Who thought sparks of loving things could come through a phone call.
I hope it works out, but I am better for knowing him.❤️

I was 17 and recently lost my V-tag with the new girl in school. We got heavy really early and it went good for about a month. After that, she got distant. A couple days goes by and we finally talk again. She tells me that he is sleeping with my best friend and she is pregnant. Well I also found out later, he was also trying to get her to have miscarriage so that is one out of many.

You want to hear about life experience. I have a lot of it. I will not do it here and tell you I got it all right, I didn't. I tried telling it here one time and it was rejected. I carry it with me and I don't talk about it. It's meant to stay with me I guess.

On Easter 2011, My apartment flooded. Our faucet on the bathtub was messed up on the hot side, we used pliers to turn it on. Well that day, the faucet just failed and the whole thing came off and I was in the tub trying to put it back together getting shot with high pressure. One of the neighbors got trapped inside with us because the doorknob on the front door was bad. Thank God it wasn't a fire. The whole apartment was steaming, I had 4 dogs freaking out, a front that wouldn't open or shut. The fire department had to come out here. It was a holiday, and on Sunday, no city workers were working that day. When they got there, they went to shut the water off and could not get to ours, they couldn't find it. Well, it was behind the office in the center of the complex. Weird place for it if you ask me.
They came up there and the doorknob comes off in the fire chief's hand. He was furious. Management shows up and she gets arrested for being lit and she was carrying on her. Meanwhile, we have to move to another apartment where I had just me and a grocery cart to move a 3 bedroom apartment by myself.

When I turned 21. My fiance and my family went out to dinner and Jana had a really good day together Went back to my place and got so wasted. My friends came over and brought party favors. Me and her slept together that night for the first time. Now, I had to do it with the lights off, okay. I know I was drunk, I loved her but her face was a brown bag special. Oh god, hey did I think bout that? Anyway, we were goin back to her mom's house and when we pulled up in the driveway, she hugged and kissed me and dropped a bomb on me. She looked into my gloss over my eyes and asked me how the football team tasted.
It didn't hit me what she meant. She went on to tell me that she slept with all 22 football players at her school in the span of 2?days. She did all of them before I went and got her.
She dumped me, threw her ring in the road and told me she'd rather do that than be my wife. It was 2 weeks before the wedding. Guess I'm glad it happened when it did.

this is a great idea! everyone has a unique story that deserves to be told. i'll share mine: i once took a solo road trip across the country after a tough breakup and realized how much i needed to reconnect with myself. those moments in the car were like therapy.

The thing I loved about it was going out on my front porch with my morning coffee and cigarette and enjoyed that fresh mountain air.

A coffee, a cigarette and a mountain sunrise is certainly a top tier combination. I used to wake up early to watch the grizzly mama who lived in the woods near my house. She'd always be in my yard.

We had a neighbor that had a big down and it would come here and visit us sometimes. The whole neighborhood. We also had a family of deer and a bear cub came scratching at my door. The mama wasn't around but I fed it when it came. They found the money 2 miles east of where we were at. She got hit trying to cross the highway. The roads are 2 lanes, so you know how that goes. The wildlife was really something. I even had a vulture land next to me.

Oh okay, but that is good though. Those ships and the bases and all. Yeah, things happen all the time.
Like the legends say bout the ship that were refurbished either sent to museums or out back on the water as another vessel entirely. You take their pasts though.

Funn story from my youth
In our city were 2 abandoned buildings right next to each other. They used to be old student residences for a nearby school. I sat on a bench on the old soccer field in front of the buildings with two friends when a group of like 10 people, mostly if not all of them were girls, approached us. They asked us if any of us knew how to get to the roof of one of the buildings, because it was kinda tricky. Since i‘ve been inside them lots of times i knew the trick and told them i can show them while my friends waited outside.
So all 11 of us went inside and up the stairs, i showed them pretty quick and during my presentation of the trick i actually stood on the roof for a brief moment. Weirdly they were just like „okay cool“ and didn’t even want to go up there, maybe because it involved a short climb, i dont know.
I also dont remember how much time we spent there before going downstairs again but as we walked down the staircase i looked outside and there was a police car. I told everyone and we all started running, it was a mess. I accidentally even tackled a skinny girl to the ground, which i still feel bad for. She was fine though.
We all ran across the soccer field where i met my friends and told them the police was gonna show up every second while the others ran away. One of them said „lets just stay here and pretend you weren‘t involved“. Looking back it was pretty risky but i knew the police couldn‘t have actually spotted me yet so i sat down.
Sure enough three police officers came around the corner and asked who was on the roof, which was only me. We told them there was this group of people who just ran away and they believed us and turned around.
Back then i was totally obsessed with firearms and as the police was just going away i, for some reason, asked them what the official handgun in our state was. He told me its the walter ppk. On his belt was definetly no walter ppk and i googled it and it was actually the p99. I dont know why he would lie to me but maybe he knew i was playing them so he played me back.
Edit: i think i missed OP‘s idea but maybe i still entertained someone

Standard issue police firearms are usually a P9mm or a Glock. Police issued 12 gauge Mossberg pump shotgun with easy pull loading and bore holes in the barrel. I've seen one converted to sawed off, that's how I knew. And, a semi/fully automatic MP5. Depending on the officer, could have holographic sight red beam laser targeting system and custom bump stock. Made mostly of tarnished oak n wood for handling and efficiency.
