A random guy said ‘nice shirt’ in 2012. I still wear it.
It’s falling apart.

A simple “I’m proud of you” at the exact moment I needed it.

A classmate once gave me half her burrito when I forgot my lunch in 3rd grade. I never saw her again after that year but I still remember it

When you’ve been doing for others for so long that I can’t even think of something

During covid, I worked at a corona test clinic. During my shift, I got some really bad news, and it was pretty obvious I had been crying.
A man came in to be tested, and he didn't ask how I was doing or anything. He just looked at me and said, "Have a great day," like most do. But the way he said it just felt so real. He looked at me with these caring eyes like he genuinely meant it. Not just the autopilot "have a great day" that everyone says.

Random person smiled at me and said hi while I was picking up trash at a bus stop on my first job. It made me feel so happy for some reason.
