Attend university all day, work 35 hours a week at an after school job and then go out with friends to party until the wee hours of the morning. Then repeat the next day. Not anymore!!

My current equivalent: full-time WFH day job, and a side-gig that becomes full time in the summer.
I'm working on making the side-gig the main one, but it's scary. I was hit hard in 07/08 so I'm on edge about not having steady income.

Yeah how tf did we do that.
I remember being at the university from 6:30 to 3 and then working from 4:30 to 9 almost every weekday, and somehow having time to spend hours with friends almost every night, then play video games while studying at the same time until 2 am or so.
Somehow I managed to stay fit, do BJJ 4-5 days a week, manage to hit the gym every day, and still keep grades up
Now I work 7-5:30, spend time with my kid, and am paralyzed with fatigue by 9. If I'm lucky I can find an hour to work out each week and maybe make it to BJJ once a week as well. College was wild and honestly was the highlight of my life with respect to time I have to do things I love.

Yes I remember use to work serving jobs at 10:30am, worked in the financial and party district so it was essentially open to close shifts, get off at 11pm and head to the club, leave at 2:00am, go to bed by 4:00am and get ready for work at 10:30am, hungover, like nothing happened. Not anymore 😂😂

let's be real, no one did that. there were plenty of naps in between, power naps before the party and you would absolutely be hung over and sleep until 4pm the next day. and "attending university" just meant sitting in lecture and dosing off most of the time. and you're not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week at my university...

Lols yup, went to an amusement park last year and each ride found a new way to make me feel terrible. From motion sickness from spinning to hip pain from squeezing into the seats to neck pain from the whiplash to stomach pain from the food quality to a headache from dehydration to the knee ankle and foot pain from walking so much. Twas a rich tapestry of information on my failing meat mech.

Could be celiac disease from the soy sauce, which contains wheat. It doesn’t make sense to get a stomach ache from raw fish, unless it’s bad fish it shouldn’t cause any issues. My 87 year old grandma eats raw sushi.

I can't just run anymore.
I'm healthy like I don't have any major problems with my heart or anything like that but I'm overweight so running feels very heavy every time my foot lands on the ground a sledgehammer is driving into my bones.
And the main reason it hurts is that I have flat feet which have become progressively flatter every single year literally making walking kind of hurt.
The flat foot has caused my tendons to hurt constantly and the bottom of my foot to hurt.

I can not sit on the floor with my legs crossed. I found this out in my mid 30's. It's torturous to try and get out of it and stand up in my 40's

Bench press 225lb. Worked up to it, did it twice and then stopped going to the gym because of school and never picked it uo again.

Sing high keys. Im not a singer but i had freakish highs my whole life until my first bout of bronchitis knocked me out. After recovering, I now sound like any other deep voiced dude trying, but failing, to hit those notes.
Been 21 years and I still miss the squeeky cartoon voices I used to entertain with.

Get up or sit down silently. Go for a walk and enjoy it, not be in physical nearly extremis. Walk quickly for 30+ minutes. Have a functioning body.
This sucks.

Enjoying the view of fireflies at night. I never see them anymore in a long time. Dragonflies, too.

Do blow all night and then go to work the next morning. It's too much of a risk now with all the fentanyl.

Pee, walk more than 10 metres without numbness & pain…. Sorry having a bit of a dark humour giggle at myself. I have multiple sclerosis.
Things I can do now are be mindful & find beauty & happiness in the small things

Swim a 100m fly. Bend over backwards abd touch my feet to my head. Bench press more than 95 lbs without my elbow screaming like a b****. Eat everything in sight without gaining any weight.
I would say my endurance and lower body strength is better now than ever in my life. But I've definitely lost some flexibility and upper body strength as I've gotten older. My recovery after an intense workout is also a bit slower, which combined with actually working full time means I net far fewer active calories.

Chug energy drinks and stay up gaming all night after a long day at work and before the next one.
Go on a weekend bender with weed and alcohol, ending sometime Sunday morning between 4 and 6, and going into work, still off my face, at 8:30 on monday without dying. Or getting caught.. but I put that down to it being a call centre.

Sing. Ever since my voice got deeper, I can’t carry a tune anymore.

Basic gymnastics stuff like cartwheels/roundoffs, forward/backward roll, and handstands. I also used to be able to get down into the splits (though it'd look more like [this](https://d2bu5x7wh3zdqa.cloudfront.net/s3_16x9_1600/default/0002/31/08adbe475ba806f435fec29fd3c5679aeee6e038.jpeg) instead of [this](https://yogarove.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/front-split.jpg) which was what I wanted but could never get my back leg to be completely flat on the ground even after taking various dance lessons).

eat or drink. Unfortunately, my genetics didn’t warn me that i am susceptible to developing insulin resistance. iIm not even medically classified as pre-diabetic, mind you, i just immediately feel nauseous and fatigued when i eat even a bite of anything that catches my pancreas’s attention. My pancreas overreacts constantly, and i end up just vomiting anything i eat if i don’t try to keep it down long enough to pass into my intestines, so im also constantly hungry on top of that. i am told to just exercise and be healthy, which is difficult when you’re constantly hypoglycemic.

I could climb a tree, pole, or just about anything with little effort. I climbed straight up a telephone pole at a party one night and several other dudes tried and couldn't do it.

Experience extreme excitement and joy. Emotions feel bigger and come easier when you're younger. As I've gotten older, I still look forward to things but not with the same anticipation and enthusiasm. I don't get as angry about things, either, which is good at least.

Get up off the floor without straining. I'm 73. It's amazing--and horrible--all the things you can't do in your 70s. I'm leary of every patch of ice, especially on steps. Breaking anything would be awful, because insurance, even Medicare, is a farce these days.

Used to jump right up onto 4 foot tall 2 inch wide hand rails and run on them for shits and giggles. Doubt I could do that safely now lol.

I used to be able to dunk in high school. That was 20 years ago now. I’m surprised I was ever able to do it. I can still touch the rim but there is a huge difference between touching the rim and dunking. Best ones I ever got was a tomahawk and a reverse two handed dunk.

Well I'm still a teenager but before I hit puberty I could pull of high pitch voices and even a Mickey Mouse impression which I am very proud of!
