Yall do realize you only use about 37℅ of what you learn in school today in jobs right? (Unless you went to collage for a specific thing. But otherwise, it's basically a 37℅.)

So I learn history, math, science, and Ela in school. And yet the only valuable knowledge public school has taught me was that self hatred needed to be promoted. (Ok first of all I'm I'm online school now I am 15 half of the things we are learning in schools today gets fabricated by the government and or -eh hem. President pretending not to fabricate it. -our teachers would literally talk about how "oh well if someone voted for Trump because he's such a great guy" you can immediately know it's fabricated because Trump is basically committing a mass g3n0c!d3 as we speak.) And also schools taught me that if I were to show my anxiety, depression, anger issues, or PTSD that the only thing they would do is yell and scream at me for basically ruining their image. They'd also manipulate my depression. -both public schools I went to did that and then my school got pissed off when the teacher who'd been causing me anxiety the past 3 months found out I was going to online.

yeah school really does build on itself way more than anyone tells you. I'm 28 now and still sometimes hit these random knowledge gaps where I'm like "wait everyone else learned this in grade 10?" Super frustrating when you're trying to figure out basic stuff that should've stuck the first time around

Both public schools I went to very rarely taught true information.

School teaches you how to critically think. People who go through K-12 without learning this skill are never going to have it easy in college or life.

Jumping from job to job to make more money. Then facing multiple layoffs of teams and now it's even harder to find a job in a miserable market.

The sad reality (which I don't agree with) some jobs during your background investigation  will look down on people who worked a shit loud of jobs "can't seem  to stick with anything".  Especially  with township type jobs.

Not getting a passport. I want to travel now that I'm an adult and earn adult money, but I still have to wait for a couple more weeks to get mine lol

I regret not paying any attention in history classes. I had zero interest back then in it. I’m curious now but don’t have much time in my crazy adult world. Granted, there are bigger regrets in life but this is mine from youth that has hounded me as I age and wonder how the world came to be.

Giving myself an out for everything I tried "If I don't like it I can quit" Now trying very hard to push past obstacles to get what I want (gym predominantly atm) and part of it is also rewiring my brain to not expect some kind of progress every time I do something

didn’t lock into my sport quick enough because i was scared. then covid happened and postponed me hella and i didn’t get really into it until eighth grade and even then my team was a joke until sophomore year. wasn’t till then i started improving a ton. i always wonder how high i would’ve peaked if i would’ve started that younger and locked in and its honestly my biggest regret.

Skipping sunscreen and tanning beds as a teen. Now I’m dealing with early sun damage, dark spots, and having to be super strict with skincare that I never thought about back then.

Treating my 20s like a 'practice round' for adulthood. I didn't start saving even a tiny amount of money or looking after my teeth because I felt like 'future me' would just handle it. Well, I am now 'future me,' and I am exhausted and my gums hurt.

Exercise… And now I’m just above average physical fitness than most without doing a lot to maintain it.

Slouching. I thought "gamer neck" was just a meme, but now I’m 28 and my chiropractor is basically on my speed dial. Fix your posture while you’re young, kids.

Not taking time for adequate rest and recovery. Your body is quite robust when you’re young, but it’s not unbreakable. A lot of small injuries you walk off won’t manifest until you’re older.

Played softball as a catcher for like 13ish years, and my knees don't always quite work right. I can only imagine how someone like Cal Raleigh feels.

Not me but it seems that every young person that I know who played sports heavy in High School and college have permanent injuries in their 20’s. Like bad backs and knees which prevent them from Even basic exercises. It crazy to see a 28 year old less in shape than me and I’m late 50’s. I guess it’s partially luck and genetics maybe. No idea

I was 9 years old. I was hit by a car. Nothing broken, only a concussion. What they didn't see on the x-rays was one of my vertebrae discs between the vertebrae was pushed 25° sideways. I've had an aching back most of my life. Typically, it's not a big deal and not that bad. When I was in my twenties, I started doing heavy lifting at work. Moving furniture and heavy office equipment by hand up ladders because I was forbidden from touching the forklift. In a typical week, I moved about 300 items that weighed over 250 lb each, lifting them above my head, sliding them up the handlebars of a steel utility ladder and then lifting them and swiveling to the right or the left place them 20 ft in the air on a shelf. Now that I'm older, that twisted disc and the strain from lifting all that heavy furniture, I've aggravated my spine and the muscles of my back to the point where standing upright and even laying down to sleep requires a lot of stretching in order for me to not be in massive amounts of pain. After multiple x-rays and exams, the doctors told me that the surgery to fix that disc between my vertebrae would cost over $150,000 cash because I have no insurance other than Medicaid and Medicaid won't cover it.
